Overall, it was an enjoyable suspense story. I liked the Colorado setting and the characters, but felt the bad guys were way too bold and eager to kill...not too smart on their part. Definitely an author I’ll be reading again, and having a K9 in the story is a fun plus too.

'The hair on his arms prickled. Something didn't feel right.'

I really like inspirational suspense and read a lot of it, so when I saw this book, but a new-to-me author, I decided I'd give it a chance. I thoroughly enjoyed every single minute. Stephanie M. Gammon's debut novel is really very well done. She has crafted believable characters and a good plot, one I had no clue about, and there was a surprise twist thrown in to catch the reader off balance, too. I will definitely be reading more of her work. Recommended.

My review today is on the Love Inspired Suspense, Treacherous Mountain Investigation. This is Stephanie's first book for LIS. It's a great read and I look forward to her next story. This one is well written, action packed, and full of faith. I know you are going to welcome her and love this book.

Elizabeth Hart returns to the Rocky Mountains to write a travel article. Her career started right her in Colorado five years ago. She had written an article that took down a huge ring of human trafficking. She has to land this project; her future and her four year old son's counted on her getting this job.She has climbed up Pikes Peak to get a photo shot. She just finished talking to her son when fellow hikers started screaming at her. She couldn't hear them but was soon grabbed from behind. She prays for help. When Riggen comes she asked God for someone else. This is the man that broke her heart and left her with a son he doesn't know anything about.

Police Officer Riggen Price was running up the steps of the Manitou Springs Incline when he is notified that a woman was just abducted. He is shocked to find it is his one time fiance`. He had left his dog in the car but as he responds the dog is at his side. He finds her lying in a funeral position. Hands and feet are duct taped and in her hands is a bouquet of sagebrush. It all leads back to her first article. On her phone he finds a picture of a small boy that looked just like him. He frees her but tells her they will talk about this when they are at the station as he holds up the phone with their son's picture on it.

A journey to find who the killer that is after Liz and try to keep her safe. God has a plan for this broken relationship; a plan of restoration, a plan for a hope and a future. God has a plan for you too, a good plan and not for evil. In this terrible time God wants you to give Him your heart so He has the right keep you safe.

What an exciting debut romantic suspense novel! From the first page to the last, this book is hard to put down. A fast read, this story also provides unexpected depth in the characters and the emotional and spiritual themes. Ms. Gammon’s descriptions are unique and original, and her pacing is spot-on for the suspense genre. She also puts her heroine through the ringer with action and danger at every turn. The romance is sure to please readers looking for a strong love story, as well. This is a terrific debut from a new author. I can’t wait for the next novel from Stephanie M. Gammon!

Fairly good read

The plotline was very good, most of the characters were very good. However, the main character Liz was always second guessing herself, refusing to see what was right before her, and was too stubborn to follow instructions meant to keep her AND her son out of danger! Quite immature in my opinion. Otherwise it was a fairly good read.

Treacherous Mountain Investigation by Stephanie M. Gammon is a suspense novel full of action and danger. Elizabeth Hart is in the Rocky Mountains for pics in the hopes of securing a great job for her and her son's future. Someone is trying to harm her. Could this be for a years ago blog post that ultimately brought down a human trafficking's operation?

This book is amazing! It was such a good read. The twists and turns were not what I expected to happen. Typically I can guess everything within the first chapter and I had no clue until the very end! Such a good good read!

Treacherous Mountain Investigation

The storyline was very good, however there was a little more violence than I like. I think the violence detracted from the story.

Good suspense and second chance romance. I was sad about the ending of the story with the brothers and their father.
