The book talked about an artist who didn't realize that he was feeling incomplete because of one of his incomplete art where he left his soul. Every artist portrays his soul through his artwork. So how could Rajiv be able to come up with a new art to come up with a new art when his soul wasn't with him?
I loved how the author described the character. The language was simple yet impactful. I could feel like I was watching a short film or video beacuse the author has perfectly described each and everything so when I read it felt like it's was happening right infront of my eyes.
Loved the way Majuli was described that I instantly put it on my go to places list ( obviously after the situation gets better).
I felt that the end of the book was incomplete and didn't feel satisfied with it. Hope it had a different end.

Each and every book I read of this author my respect towards him increases ×100. Another masterpiece from this author is this book 'Sofia On The Balcony'. This particular book is amazing because it leaves a message for artist which you will definately know after reading it. Its a flash read book so you can complete this book within half an hour.
Our main protagonist Rajiv Arora who is a famous painter was famous for his miracle art work. Another character is Stanzin who was Rajiv's teacher.
The story is Rajiv sold his last painting (Soul Of The Mountain) for 2 crores but after that something happened and he wasn't be able to create new paintings.
What happened in past that he was now not able to complete a si gle painting
Now how and what his teacher will do to bring him back on his active track. In this book Teacher's importance is shown which is the best point. I recommend you all to purchase thia book for self improvement.

Another brilliant flash read by Himanshu Goel.This kindle ebook is just 26 pages which you can finish reading within 15 mins.
Rajiv Arora is a famous painter whose last painting was sold at 2 crore rupees in an auction.
But something is troubling him these days and he is unable to focus on painting. Shockingly it's been 2 years since his last painting was sold and he has not painted a single thing after that.
Frustrated by his inability to paint he has confined himself to four walls of a farm house near Delhi.
Nobody from his family or friends knows where he is. He tried with great effort to prepare his next masterpiece but all his efforts are in vain.
One day his teacher, Stanzin who taught him the core basics of painting came to visit him knowing he might need her help.
She took him along with her to Majuli, a river island in Assam to help him come out of his depressed mood and so he could create a masterpiece.
They stayed there for a week trying everything from scratch and improvising his painting skill. Even after a lot of effort and painting he is not able to complete any painting he starts.

Heres reccomending you a book of my favorite author who always writes a masterpiece.SOFIA ON THE BALCONY by HIMANSHU GOEAL is a really amazing book.
Rajiv Arora was a famous painter but was lately not able to give his best shot.His last painting was such a hit that it was sold for 2 crores in an auction. He wishes to create more but isn't able to and hence shifts to his farm house for peace and concentration.He felt something stopping him for creating his best artwork from the last two years.This made him aggresive which bymistakely left a cut on his hands to which he didn't pay attention and slept.

Written in third person POV, Sofia on the Balcony by Himanshu Goel is a flash read that tells us about how a lone person and a single event can have an impact on our entire course of life.
Rajiv Arora is an extraordinary painter, who is famous because of his amazing paintings. But currently, he is facing ‘Painter's Block’, resulting him in not being able to paint anymore.
The story revolves around why this is happening to Rajiv, and whether he will be able to come over his issues or remain in this slump for the entire life.
I must say that everyone deserves someone like Stanzin in their life, who was not only Rajiv’s mentor/teacher but also the guide who helped him when he needed it the most.
Its completely unbelievable how in just 26 pages, the author managed to give us full fledged story that had everything, starting from Hurt, Anger, Romance, Fun, Tragedy, Joy, Sadness, Excitement and Adventure.

He was detached from his family and friends. He was struggling to paint, he was frustrated, something was wrong with him and he knew about it. He was lost in misery and for what? no one knew. He went to places to find his next art but he failed miserably. He rented a farmhouse and kept himself in dark to concentrate better.
One day a lady name Stanzin comes to visit him, and she is none other than his teacher who brought the artist within him. What was she going to do and why did Rajiv lose his artist form?

An artist never loses his creativity
A nice, quick read which teaches us that one’s creativity can never be lost and that the reason’s behind a blocked mind run deeper than what it may appear to the blind eye.
What I liked about the book:
—> Stanzin’s eccentric character.

Also I’m loving this illustrations done with the cover.

It is the story of an artist who paints his soul and mesmerises the world with his beautiful splash of colours. " Rajiv ", who thinks that a desolated room can be the best place to create a masterpiece and he himself books a villa to get a perfect outcome. Despite many trials he felt so frustrated by not getting the desired art frame. It simply puts his mind down to try further. And all of a sudden an unexpected visitor turns to his place in the villa, and Rajiv finds out the visitor as his childhood teacher, who taught him painting. His teacher took him to a mysterious island located in Assam and it totally changes Rajiv. If one feels that it's the place, which motivates an artist to draw, then it is totally judgemental. As the story proceeds, I couldn't find the word 'Sofia', which was mentioned in the title. The story unfolds many truths about the reality which was being like a hindering block to paint. The story reveals the mystery behind the title and also how it could be relatable to Rajiv. It is a short story which can be finished hardly in 15 minutes. The reason why I picked up this book is, it's catchy title as well as it's pleasantly designed book cover.

🖌The book revolves around the protagonist,Rajiv Arora who was no ordinary painter. With his breathtaking paintings,he has already made his way into the world of renowned painters.His last painting “Soul of the Mountain” was was an amalgamation of natural aptitude and beauty.

The two-year interval portrayed a change,and one can see the painter sitting frustratingly,who could not even paint a single piece of art. The colours went distinguishly blemished and the reason is unknown.Torn sheets and splashes of colours everywhere witnessed the failures of a defeated painter.

Although the plot was well-knitted, I felt that the end points were kept loose. The rainbow in the book cover demarcates the colours in the life of a painter. The combination of colours in the book cover is well-decided,but the sky colour could have been dark shaded,which in turn would have highlighted the dark phase of the protagonist. The title is apt and one could never predict the plot by the mere sight of it.
This is a short read of about 25 pages. Grab the book to know more.

He then was trying to paint the next art of his but something was stopping him to paint. He was kind of stuck. He shifted to a remote farm house away from his family and friends to focus on the painting but still he was not able to do anything. He got a wound on his hands while painting which he didn't care and went off to sleep.

The story revolves around Rajiv who happens to be a famous painter, but somehow has lost his inspiration to paint at all. And then he meets his art teacher, Stanzin, who helps him pave his path and find his way again.
A perfectly crafted flash read. This book teaches us so many meaningful life lessons. First of all it is okay to be lost and not know your way around. You can never be a know-it-all. There is no harm in asking, taking or getting help, it won't mean you are not capable enough, because sometimes you get help from the unexpected places.
I really loved, Rajiv and Stanzin's bonding, a perfect Teacher-student relationship because that is something one dreams of. A bond to cherish forever.
My favourite character was of course Stanzin, she was not only talented and witty but also soft hearted, who didn't hesitated to help and guide his student in the time of his need.
All in all i would definitely recommend this to everyone. Its definitely worth a read ❤️

Art for some is a passion, for others, a hobby. But what is common in all kinds of art is its therapeutic power, it's calming potential. Nonetheless, a creative slump or block is something that is experienced by all artists, invariably.
In this flash read by Himanshu Goel, Rajiv is a reputed artist but behind his glory of success dwells a profound internal conflict raised by an art block. The frustrated artist's mentor Stanzin stands by him and takes him to the river island of Majuli in Assam. As Stanzin like the perfect guide, tries to detect the impetus, Rajiv strives to recover from it through his emotionally charged journey and strives to rediscover himself.
Despite it's short length, this account perfectly brings out the essence of art and it's cathartic effect. like the different shades of paint that rests on Rajiv's pallete, his different emotions are strewn all over in the narrative in the form of words.
It took me around 20 minutes to flip through this account of about 26 pages and it was a charming read. This is a story that can be appealing to all, but if you are an artist (which all of us are in one way or another), pick it up for a relatable read.

Well I could relate to this one the most, I believe because I paint too. If the artist has some sentimental value attached to a thing and it gets ruined then it's pretty difficult for him to work on the same piece.
Same thing happened with the protagonist. He is a world-famous painter and his last painting was sold for 2 Crore Rupees in an auction but it's been two years and he couldn't paint anything. He isolates himself thinking he might get the mental peace and some inspiration for his next painting but he failed.
Unexpectedly his mentor, a lady with bizarre fashion sense but a heart full of positivity comes to meet her pupil. She takes him to an isolated island where she obsesses him and gets the reason that it's a painting he left incomplete. A painting of a woman overlooking the balcony of the hotel room to the view of the city. Did you find any resemblance?
So basically this beautiful girl, Sofia, the subject of this painting was the reason why Rajiv wasn't able to concentrate anymore but his teacher gave him a beautiful lesson.
I guess the timing of this book is amazing, tomorrow it's Teachers' Day in India and this book do have a great focus on the tutor and pupil's relationship.

Each and every characters and the sceneries have been described beautifully and I like the character of Stanzin more.
Author has penned down this story in a very elegant way.
It is a short read which you can finish within one hour.
