I could not put this down. This book was more than I hoped for. Although the ending was not the destination but the journey was. I thought this was well written with great characters. The whole package. The subject matter is not for everyone but, even that was not as tough to read as some other books. It was a story of self awareness, becoming who you are meant to be. I will be reading more from Lexie Syrah. Great book.

Different take on the slave/ master lifestyle. Lily wants to experience the s/M lifestyle and signs up to be trained before being sold for a year. In this book while the Masters are in control, the slaves get paid for the year long commitment and the Masters ensure that the slaves get the best possible contract. Lilly gets trained by 3 masters but she had already met Liam before. As she undergoes her training she can't help her feelings and attraction to Liam and the does an amazing job highlighting and describing the emotions and feelings between them and their growing attraction to each other. The portrayal of the supporting characters is excellent and supports and elevate the story line.

The ending is rather sudden and abrupt, and I felt cheated in a way, an epilogue would have rounded the book of nicely, but other than that it was a great read.

Our heroine is somewhat lost and unsure where her life is going, so she signs up to spend a year as a submissive. It turns out to be an interesting choice.

This is a BDSM romance and everything is consensual. The story is well written and easy to read with a well developed cast of characters. Each of the heroes has a distinct personality and style which lends a nice bit of realism and variety to the story. Our heroine is also nicely done and we get to watch her growth throughout the story. The plot is largely what you would expect, but a good bit of it is devoted to the training which is a bit different from the norm and worked really well. And have no fear, for we get plenty of steam on our journey as well as a nice HEA. Overall, a highly enjoyable read and I look forward to more from this author.

This book is amazing! The story of Lily is one of a woman who isn't getting what she wants out of life. So she decides she wishes to go through the program at Risen to become a slave. There she will learn from three Masters how to completely surrender herself to the wishes and desires of her Master. But it will not be without heartbreak. She will develop feelings for Master Liam and in the end, will have to walk away from him before her training is finished after she expresses her feelings out loud. She has negotiated a successful contract with a new Master and at the ceremony, it pains her that it is Master Liam who will pass her on to her new Master although she will be more than pleased when she finds out just who that is.

This book is the first in the Elysian series and it was a good start to the series. I hadn’t read anything by this author before so didn’t know what to expect. I couldn’t put this book down, I just had to keep turning the page to see what happened next.
Lexie Syrah wrote some good characters. The emotions in this story were relatable and you could feel the attraction growing between the MC. The training for ending up getting a year contract is a different take on this kind of story. What happens when the slave falls for the Master training her? Heartbreak? When he is the Master who will pass her off to her Master for the year contract? You’ll want to read this book to find out what happens when Lily starts her year’s contract.

This book had me from the start all the way to the end. I was not able to put the book down I kept wanting to know what was going to happen. I am just sad that the very end left me a little flat and wanting more, maybe it was done that way to start a series not sure. I will be reading this book over and over again.

Wow!! This was such a fascinating book! I read it from cover to cover without taking a break! Liam and Lily had quite the chemistry, and it was so interesting to read about the training process she went through. Loved the book it was great, the story was well written and the characters were intriguing. This is one hot book, OMG I started to read this story, it brought out sensations, pleasures while I was reading. The story has been one hot book I nearly burned myself, I wanted more but it was getting to be a bit much so ice water should do the trick.

Lily wanted something more in life and she found that when signing up for slave school at Risen. There are a few Masters there but only one captures her heart and opens her world to many many things, Well written with a good story line. this is a hot steamy short read with lots of hot scenes!

Great book. This was a different type of BDSM. Female character decides to be a slave for a year and goes to training. Both the reader and the h learn about being a slave and grow at the same time. You feel everything she feels and the HEA at the end is a bonus.

Lily decides to commit to going thru slave training at Risen. She's tired of waitressing at Elysium and wants a different life. She trains under 3 masters, Brennon, Micah and Liam. Thru her 3 month training she falls for Liam and he for her, but masters are not allowed to have slaves. And Lily has to fill a years contract before being free. Loved the ending!!

This book isn’t going to be for everyone. For those who enjoy reading this trope then you are in for a delight. The author has a wonderful way of writing and describing not only actions but feelings and emotions as well. It’s a steady paced fantastic read.
