Throatbone is a truly beautiful, lyrical and passionate immersion in the intimate poetry of person and place.
In Throatbone, Maddrell is our guide into and among the organic elements of a very special location – The Isle of Man.
Throatbone is not the superficial, tourist introduction, it is as much about the person who has known the place like the closest of family members and, with love and tenderness, extends to us the privilege of his inner understanding.
These are poems to settle in with and get to know – to become acquainted with in the fullness of time, place and person.
