Sam and Teague have been best friends for years. Now that they are both single, can friendship become more?
Hurting from a break-up, Sam moves home to Hobson Hills to take care of his great-aunt. After a year passes, he realizes the only thing he misses from his life in Seattle is the one man that has always been there for Sam, his best friend, Teague. He doesn't want to leave his friend, but maybe it's time Sam starts thinking of his future. He wants love and a family of his own, and pining after his best friend is a little time consuming.
Teague fully expected Sam to come home once his aunt recovered. When he learns that Sam has made a life of his own in Hobson Hills, Teague has to make some decisions. Sam is the most important person in Teague's life, so what is he willing to do to keep him there?
Quickly, Sam and Teague learn that they are better together than apart. The real question, though, is are they better as friends or lovers?
This is a 40k omegaverse story that includes mpreg, a whole lot of pets, a farmhouse stuck in the seventies, a sassy great-aunt, and several nosy friends who insist they're family.
This is a longer, expanded version the short story Sam's BFF Dilemma.
I have been self-publishing since October 2018. My books are extremely light and fluffy m/m romance with mpreg, and while they span a few subgenres of romance, they have similar themes of found family and love at first sight. Besides writing, I enjoy reading everything I can get my hands on, especially m/m romance. My personal favorites are mpreg, sci-fi, fantasy, and paranormal.
Rating: 4 stars I was looking forward to this book and it didn’t disappoint. I loved both of the MCs and thought they made a wonderful couple. However, it was the multitude of cute animals in this story that stole the show. All in all, a thoroughly enjoyable read in the Hobson Hills series
Teague is sure he needs to protect Sam. Sam is sure Teague is his best friend. It takes time for them to realize maybe it's something more. Great reading.
Perfect continuation of the Hobson hills series. Sam and Teague are just adorable together. I just LOVED aunt Mia too. Their pre-dating chat with yeo was HILARIOUS and the scenes with Judd made me "Lol" big time.
The only really problems with this book are:
1) it made me want to adopt a million pets. Seriously I want to give Teague a run for his money now. 2) you'll want to go back and reread the series start to finish because the love for hobson hills is REAL. And 3) I desperately want the sheriff's story now more than ever. I think he should get Henry. Nothing hotter than a daddy sheriff. Just saying.
Don't question this, just buy it and love every single second.
This was book 9 in the " Hobson Hills Omegas " series. Omega Sam comes from from work to find out that his live in boyfriend has put him out and that he has been cheating on him. Alpha Teague is his best friend so he comes to his rescue. When his aunt gets sick he goes home to Hobson Hills where he starts working at the Irish Rose he makes friends with Justin and Rueben. Both Sam and Teague are in love with one another but either of them realize it. When Sam decides to stay Teague packs up sells his vet clinic and moves to Hobson Hills along with all his animals and he had a lot too many. This was a pretty good read Teague shows up on Sam's date. Sam's ex Brett continues to call him. Sam is hurt in a car accident he gets a surprise. This was a good read. Teague's step-siblings show up when they find out that his step-father Dennis changed his will. This book was well written with no errors in grammar or spelling. I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series.
Read this book if you are looking for a cute, funny, friends to lovers romance.
This book has a lot of humor. Sam (O) likes being a cook but has no desire to be promoted beyond that. Because of his lack of ambition, his alpha of five years dumps him. That same night his aunt calls him from Hobson Hills and needs his help because she was just diagnosed with cancer. A year later and all is well, except he desperately misses his best friend. Teague (A) is a veterinarian who is trying to start an animal sanctuary. He misses his best friend when he leaves but is also relieved he is away from his horrible ex. When a year passes and Sam decides to stay, Teague packs up his life and moves to Hobson Hills. It doesn’t take long before the two are together. What they don’t expect is for Teague’s step-siblings to invade full of anger.
This book is rated 3 stars. The fast pace and instant solutions can leave you floundering. One star was further removed because there seemed to be too much missing. This was brought from a short story to a book so timeline and a few other things simply seemed to be wrong or missing.
Side Note: The side characters you are introduced to in this book have, or may in the future get, a book of their own. Every character is unique and the individual books in this series reflect this.
Personal Note: This book was hilarious even if there were too many instances where I was confused. One of my favorite scenes was when Teague crashed Sam’s blind date. They were at the movies and every time the date tried to offer some snacks or something to Sam, Teague jumps in and gives him what he prefers. Eventually Teague says, “You don’t know anything about Sam.” The date agrees and says, “You’re right. Sam and I should spend some time together to get to know one another. You know. Maybe go on a date.” That had me cracking up! Even with the problems that I am guessing came from taking this from a short story to a novel, this book is worth reading.
You love your best friend. He loves you. Now you have to admit it!
I loved returning to Hobson Hills! The small town vibe envelopes you. The people open their arms and their hearts. You will love it here! Sam & Teague have been best friends forever. When Sam returns to Hobson Hills to care for his Aunt Mia, weeks turn into a year. Teague, a veterinarian, & his herd of dogs, cats, birds, need Sam. Did I mention a tortoise named Tortellini, a parrot named Morris, and a bearded dragon named...wait for it...Puff. Meddling Dad's force Teague to admit he loves Sam. So he does the only thing he can do: he sells his practice, moves his whole herd to Hobson Hills, and establishes his animal rescue sanctuary. Yes, HEA is assured, once our men stop being idiots. On their way there, they will deal with family angst, an alphahole ex, new friends, and lots of new animals, including goats in pajamas! You are gonna love this book! If you like your men hot, your sex hotter, and always HEA, read the rest of the Hobson Hills series. You will be glad you did. This book contains adult themes and language, mm sex and is intended for mature readers only.
How wonderful to once again return to Hobson Hills. I liked how the author continues to bring new folks that add to the quirkiness of the population of the same tight knit Maine town. Despite the cruel heartbreak at the opening of the book and the sudden health crisis of a dear loved one, the Omega remained his sweet and sometimes confused self. This is a story about best friends. Their dialogue is hilarious. Just the way you'd talk to your BFF. But there was something underneath that neither wanted to admit to, but that everybody else around them recognized.
I'm not going to rehash what many others have said. Just know that this is a fantastic, entertaining addition to the Hobson Hills saga. The animals and their shenanigans. The "lumberjack" Alphas who didn't know how to treat a very special Omega. The movie scene was so funny. I can't say enough how much I loved this book. I highly recommend it!
OK, I should have stopped at the last book... this one just wasn't one for me... grrr
I will say up front that I am NOT an animal lover in the sense that I want to own an animal myself but appreciate that other people love and own them, my husband included. I think having a barn full of animals is an excellent idea (for someone else! *snort* LOL!) and that if you want to have cats or dogs running underfoot, that is on you... and reptiles are fine in their own environments, BUT what was up with the birds on Teague and Sam's heads? No! Just, NO! I have my limits and that is one of them! :(
Obviously, this wasn't my favorite book in this series but it was cute and I really enjoyed the scene when Teague and Sam were making it understood that the other one couldn't date for some silly reason that had just popped into their heads... seriously? Clueless... these two were just clueless but adorable! *grin*
I think "Loving My Omega" really reaaaaaaaaally is my absolute favorite of the Hobson Hills Omega's series. Animals! So many lovely little animals I truly just wanted to hop into this book and hug them all. And do not get me started on Sammie and Tee..... They were so beautiful together. I wanted to hug them to lol. I honestly felt like I was right there with them. I can't wait to read more Hobson Hills books. I'm here to stay for as long as they continue to be written......let's be honest.... C.W. Gray gas a brilliant mind and I'm pretty much taking up residence in this little world :)
Sam and Teague are best friends and though they haven't realized it yet they also love each other.
When Sam moves to take care of his Aunt Mia when she's diagnosed with cancer Teague realizes just how much he misses him and just how jealous he is of all the lumberjacks who want to date Sam. So he moves to be with Sam.
I've read many of CW Gray's books most being from the Hobson Hills series. I have to say I don't think there's a single one that I didn't enjoy thoroughly and laugh out loud a few times at. If you love soft, fluffy omegaverse stories that are very low angst this would definitely be a series for you.
I swear I am impatiently waiting for the next book. Every story is so great especially when it's about a couple not fully connected to the Wilson's it has to wonder who will be next to get that real adoption into the family. But this couple was so sweet and the animals! Oh there have always been animals for all the family but WOW! This is on a whole different level and it's so sweet.
This new installment in the Hobson Hills saga was exactly what I needed to finish off a very stressful week. Watching these two best friends navigate their relationship and expanding their love to include so many others was the balm I needed this week. It's rough out there right now, and C. W. Gray knows how to make us feel better. Highly recommended.
Loved this addition to the Hobson Hills Omegas series. This book was fun and exciting with sooo many animals even before they opened the sanctuary. There where some problems but they where quickly cleared up. Great fun adventure with a amazing HEA . Love this series.
I took a break from the Hobson Hills series as the stories had started to feel repetitive, and I think that's exactly what I needed. When I returned to the series looking for a break from the complicated stuff, the book gave me exactly what I needed. Short humerous read that's perfect for uplifting your spirits or a great read between other heavier books.
Loving My Omega, was great! It had all the feels, all the pets, plus some, and all the friends and family that you expect from CW Gray and Hobson Hills. Sometimes in real life you just need a quick getaway, and Hobson Hills delivers.
I absolutely love this author and it's always a 1 click for me. These two best friends were perfect together and watching Teagues blended family come together was beautiful. Loved it and definitely reccomend. Cant wait for more Hobson Hills.
Every time I finish up one of these books, my face hurts from smiling so much. These gentle, funny romances are always full of friends and family and furry creatures. This series entry does not disappoint!
Another fantastic story from Hobson Hills! In this one Sam gets his story. Lovely and sweet. Love all the cameos from the people we love in Hobson Hills. I can't wait to read more!
I never have laughed so much in a book like I did with this one. I have to say this is probably my one of my favourites in this series so far. I hope we see more of the characters mentioned in this book.
This was a really good feel good book. A little slow in the beginning but worth the wait. Sam and Teague bring two families together and a whole community. What's not to love?
I was expecting Sheriff's book next, so I was pleasantly surprised to find Sam's story instead. All the animals were adorable and so was Sam's mate. (can't spell his name for the life of me, lol)
I have so completely enjoyed falling in love with the Wilson's and their extended family.....but sad that there isn't another book....I hope that #9 is the last book....plz let there be more to come
If you like honorable men and critters—furred, feathered, or reptilian—check out Teague and Sam’s efforts to be the best they can be for each other. Enjoy how their pets and rescued animals add to the fun and steal the show!!!
Honestly, I think the series should have finished with book 8. It was a nice way to close out the story that started in book 1. But I'm this far in and I figure I can make it to book 11. I wasn't a fan of bringing in basically a whole new cast, at least in terms of main characters.
