Small Town Lovers #2

A Little Reckless

Rate this book
I’d called my lovers to Cricket, California so they could learn the truth…
Instead, I learned I couldn’t resist them.
They owned my heart.

Tripp McKenzie: millionaire, charmer, bold and brash lover.
Jonah Hanks: owns a multi-million dollar company, knows what he wants and how to get it.
Zack Brown: successful fiction writer, a true romantic, and loves dancing in the dark.
They all have one thing in common.
My wildest dreams fulfilled.
We’d hooked up our last week in college.
What an incredibly crazy week!
Then reality hit.
Any one of them could be the father of my child.
But which one?
That has yet to be determined.
And when he learns the truth, how will he react?

I’ll need to guard my heart… if that’s even possible.

A Little Reckless is a sizzling, small town reverse harem romance. It’s rich with sexy ménage scenes, single and multiple partner scenes, and all done with a touch of humor that just might melt your Kindle. As with all my books, a HEA is always guaranteed… Thanks for reading!

Given the length of this book I wasn’t exactly expecting a memorable experience, so I wasn’t too bothered by the incredibly unlikeable heroine, unnatural, wooden dialogue, and generally terrible writing. But the narrator managed to make it worse in the funniest of ways: She gave the heroine a vapid voice that didn’t help her already insufferable personality, and the way she chewed the scenery during the smutty scenes felt too much even for a book in the ‘Erotica’ section. Even in a porn set you’d be told to tone it down, if you went in the way Anna Ardent did. Goddamn.

Anyway, this was a very forgettable book. But I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt and give the narrator partial blame for it, her performance was that terrible. So I’m open to maybe trying another book in the series and actually reading it with my eyes – in the future, after my brain finishes forgetting the narrator’s horrifying moans.

What a hot little read! I enjoyed reading this story about Lexi, Tripp, Jonah and Zach. At the beginning I was a little mad at Tripp because he just left her without a word after the incredible night they spent together. I do like the way she just easily fell into Jonah and Zach as if she didn’t have a care in the world. I believe she needed that to relax herself a little since she was so focused on making the grades and making her family proud. I think she forgot how to have fun while she was in college.

I am glad that all 3 guys just dropped everything when they received her email to go to the little town she had moved to when she found out she was pregnant. She did things on her own and had a little scare that made her decide that the father needed to know about Olivia. Once the guys found out they could be a father, Tripp was the only one who was iffy at first, but then realized he didn’t want to be anywhere else. All 3 guys were in love with Lexi and were willing to be in her life anyway they could – even if they weren’t the bio father.

There were lots of steamy scenes in this book and the characters had this great chemistry. Lexi was worried how the little town would view it, but realized there was another similar situation going on with Jess and her guys. I’m glad that everything worked out the way it did and I cannot wait to read the next book in the series. I will be going back and reading book 1.

I honestly don’t know where to start with this book. I honestly loved it so much. This author blows me away each time I read one of her books. This book is technically book two in the series, but you do NOT need to read book one to read this one. Although I highly recommend book one. Some of the characters in book one make an appearance in this book.

I have been waiting for this book ever since I found out about it. Impatiently I might add. I was just so excited, and this author did NOT disappoint. This book is quite juicy. There’s secrets, romance and steam, friendship and acceptance, camaraderie and small town charm, and pies! An emotional rollercoaster of not knowing what’s coming and what’s going to happen.

Lexie is our heroine in the story. She’s bright, funny and sarcastic, a control freak, fierce and brave, and makes the best dang pies around. Her best friend Tara is possibly one of the best friends a girl can ask for. Absolutely love her. Jonah, Zach, and Tripp. What can I say about them but yum. They each care for her and love her in different and amazing ways. Together, she makes them see that there’s more to life than just money. Together they make something incredible. I loved watching them come back together. The kids were absolutely hilarious. Olivia, Goldie, and Eddie has me cracking up.

This book is very heartwarming. It had me laughing, gasping in shock, and had tears forming. It’s a wonderful read that will keep you engaged from the moment you start reading it. It’s fast paced and easy to follow along with. Flows easily and brilliantly.

An absolute MUST read. Love this book and this author.

Wow, this is so mind blowing. I can’t tell you how I read this book so quickly. Once I started I really couldn’t stop for too long, I just picked it back up and continued read. The words just flowed effortlessly and the storyline was incredible. I must say I really think that Tripp was behind this from the start. I really was caught off guard by the guys level of understanding each other and their bond. I really admire Lexi for the strength and her accomplishments in life. As a matter of fact they’ve all succeeded in their goals ahead of time and family seems to next on the list for Tripp, Zack and Jonah. Above all I loved how the author left the secret til the end and then shocks us at the same time. I’m curious about the next book now.

A high 3.5 stars! It was super cute book! I loved the small town and was shocked how accepting it was. Because usually small towns in books have a norm and anything outside that norm is strange and not usually accepted. But I liked the characters and their growth as an individual and together. Really touching.

My favorite part is how this all started. How the FMC was distraught over an A-, which led to some reckless romantic action with 3 handsome males, which led to a surprise bundle and a different career path, and all of this lead up to a happy ending and a sense of family!!

Makes you think a little. That one thing that is considered bad or not wanted in your life could turn out to be the best thing to ever have happen to you. Or lead you to it! ;)

This review is of my own opinion.

An unconventional, perfect second chance
A Little Reckless by Pepper Swan is a highly enjoyable read. These characters are interesting and entertaining, but not perfect by any means. Trip, Jonah and Zack give up at the beginning, but when provided with an open door for a second chance, they step up and do so in a big way. Lexi may not have the life she dreamed of, but she’s happy!
The plot of this book explores how outcomes that differ from expectations are not so bad. Lexi, Tripp, Jonah and Zack take advantage of the exploration and find something wonderful and unexpected.
Overall, an enjoyable, steamy second chance reverse harem romance with a great HEA for all.
I read an ARC of this book via Hidden Gems and voluntarily share my review.

Meh. Barely, and I mean barely, 3 stars. Wasn’t much of a plot to this one. Lexi hooks up with 3 BFFs her final week in college and ends up pregnant. Several years later she sprains her ankle and decides the guys should know one of them is the father. As an aside, the blurb made it sound like something earth shattering caused Lexi to reach out.... not the massive flood that nearly destroyed the town but a sprained ankle.... sheesh. Guys show up, figure out that they’ve all been missing her, have a bunch of sex, and wham-o, decide they can share. If Harlequin Romances did RH, this would be one of theirs.

A quick little read.

It’s a sweet little book. It stops at 80%. The last 20% is part of another book..So just be aware that the page numbers include that bonus material. If you’re like me, you buy books based on the length of it versus the cost of the book. So a little disappointed that the book wasn’t longer with more material from what I thought I was purchasing. But overall, it was a nice little story with a lot of steamy moments.

Gotta love second chances

One week of love turned into a lifetime of happiness with a beautiful little girl, but who did she belong to? Who cares. Those guys love her to the moon and back and they all get their HEA after one sprained ankle scared her to telling them about her daughter.

What a great book

Enjoyed reading their story from the beginning in college until current times. I love books that make me laugh and cry, I laughed hard in some cases (no tears). The kids were so cute. It was good they ended up coming back together years later because I don't think it would have worked out as well as it did. Thanks for a great book. Written by Cindy :)

If you’re reading probably a 3.5 to 4 star 🌟 Narrators either by interpretation or direction, give the story a 70’s bad porno lounge lizard vibe. It’s good to have everyone come together harmoniously, however the characters interaction or development is glossed over or rushed. Easy, quick read or listen, but had potential to be so much better.

awful

What a waste of a buy. I really hated this book. Definitely not a book for me.

I don’t know who this worked with 3 men and 1 woman and how they could be ok to share. Too weird for me and not real.

The Audio book: I bought as well. The female notator was a put off as well.

I would not recommend this book at all

A Little Reckless

This was a very cute, fast paced story. At first it was so easy to hate Trip, but in the end he redeemed himself. I loved their tiny little magical town. I took away a star simply because the MFC referred to her lady bits as girl parts during spicy time and it squigged me out

I enjoyed this story. The characters were great and it was written well. I especially liked how grown up the kids were portrayed, but they still acted like the 5-ish year olds they were.

Three happy men

A delightful love story and an exciting one. Three men in love with one woman and her having a baby and not knowing which of three men is the father. They end of with the woman pregnant with twins.

I started reading it for the smut but then I got bored in the middle. However, the story wasn't too objectionable and since I'd already added it to my currently reading list, I felt obliged to finish it. (Besides, taking a few days to finish reading it helped me re-start my Kindle reading streak.)

Loved that the 3 guys all had different paths in life, but were all talked about in a respectful way about their successes.
I wish that there was a little more about the paternity search, because it felt like that part was just glossed over and then brought back up in the epilogue

Sweet reverse harem

This was a short sweet story. There were a few minor bumps but mostly everything came together seamlessly. This was a fast burn romance.
