This was a fun comic and a great conclusion to this arc in the saga of the Sangerye family. Sanford Greene has a great inking style and uses really intense perspectives to reflect the craziness and disorientation of battle.
The essays at the back in this particular issue were unnecessary and badly written. I appreciated how in past issues the creators used the space to introduce and support other African-American creators, and especially liked the essays and art by John Jennings several issues back. My antipathy to the essays here is academic. I see the difference between a true creator and someone who imagines themselves to be a deep thinker because they are entrenched in academia.
