Can a nerdy loner perform Nine More Labors of Hercules?
Nick, son of immortal centaur Chiron, was hoping his dad would come through. Nope. Instead, he’s flung back to Mýthos, where he almost immediately angers Hera and Athena. He desperately wants to find Helen, but . . . Zeus decrees he must do more Labors before they can be together. The Nine this time are gnarly, involving hundreds of cows and cleaning out one stinky stable. Without Helen, Nick is lost, but he gamely tries to fight monsters who all have multiple heads! Not to mention the Amazons, who, it turns out, aren’t as nice as the ones in the movies. Can Nick overcome his shakiness to become a true Hero like Hercules? Can he battle half the Olympians to prevent the centaurs’ extinction?

"As they turned, laughing, Nick realized a sad truth: He might have changed, but these guys hadn’t at all"
High schooler Nikólaos (Nick) Chironopolous, has returned from Greece and his time within the world of the mythical gods and goddesses his father, Chiron, a centaur, was part of, making Nick half centaur, and given many "labors" , and what might be thought of as a semester away. He's grown up, fallen in love, but to the bullies that caused his initial transformation.
And now he's back home, but all that's done is given the bullies more fodder. The gods have banned him from their world, and these kids were trying to get rid of him in school. Will he ever get a break? Will a return to Mythos change his luck? Will he be able to handle more labors for the gods?
Amy Wolf has done it again! Kept our interest in part 2 of the Mythos trilogy, which takes a contemporary kid and weaves him into Greek Mythology.( It might help if you read the first book before getting into this one). This was a really fun read. Highly recommended 5/5

Book #2 in the Mythos series in which modern day Nick (teen boy/centaur) returns to Greek Ancient times to battle through 9 more Labors given to him by Zeus in order to win over Helen/Medusa. The action picks up immediately from the end of the previous book, so it's helpful if you read the first book in this series before trying this read. A fast paced adventure through the world of Greek myths. I especially enjoyed the different scenes where many of the gods & creatures were all together. (I received a copy of the book in exchange for an honest and unbiased opinion.)
The next book in the trilogy continues. A world of Gods and nick ,great Greek Mythology. Nick gets another 9 new labours from the gods. Will he survive ,what happens to his Mum and can he prevent it . The characters are more developed now and it is easier to picture the story. He is now allowed to Marry who? But the same characters that gave him trouble still do when he gets back from his mission. Cannot wait for next book.
This is first time in reading this author. This one is a fantasy that for sure takes you to other worlds. Nick is a different kind of character along with the other characters. The other thing is that the boy is in school. Mythology is a interesting mix. Suspense is a good addition to this story. This is the second one and I missed the first one so I had to catch up. Helen is part of his life. This keeps you busy that is for sure.
This is a brilliant read. Wonderful well written plot and story line that had me engaged from the start. Love the well fleshed out characters and found them believable. Great suspense and action with wonderful world building. Can't wait to read what the author brings out next. Recommend reading.
I read a complimentary advance copy of the book; this is my voluntary and honest review.
Delightful story Nick is given more labors by Zeus. These labors put a definite strain on Nick and his relationship with Helen. Along with the challenges comes some humor and a great ending. This was a very good tale. I received this book free from the author for a review.

Nick gets nine new labour’s that he has to complete in order to be allowed to marry Helen. Lots of action and adventure involving Greek mythology. My favourite part was when Nick rescues his mom from three men who are trying to seduce her, they were sent by a goddess who dislikes Nick. This was an enjoyable read.
This second book in The Mythos Trilogy is a wild and dangerous romp through Ancient Greece with all Greek gods and Demi-gods involved! Lots of action, too. The two main characters are well-developed and the world is very easy for me to picture in my mind. I was surprised and happy by the final acts. I highly recommend it but it will be more enjoyable if you read book one first.
