I enjoyed reading this series. The characters are fun, esp. the dogs. And when you get to where one buys a farm, there are all the farm animals. Who can resists a little romance, and dogs? Cori, who is a dog trainer is a kick. No romance for her, but she is in the middle of everything, not only training dogs but people too. :)

Ready or Not in Dog Town Review: This is the start to Dog Town Series, it's a little slow moving. Not sure where this series will go, but I will keep reading.

Bitter and Sweet in Dog Town Review: I like the idea of the Dog Town but Mayor Bradshaw is a typical politician. The mayor is a real piece of work, all he is worried about is image. There is a lot of things going on in this story. The story is entertaining but moves very slowly. I like Remi and Leo her devoted dog. Things are very predictable.

Match Made in Dog Town Review: I enjoyed this one the best so far. Bridget and Sullivan were fun. There was a little more mystery and figuring out who is behind Bridget's issues. When the trouble started I figured out the culprit from the start. My biggest complaint is it is very slow moving.

Nine Lives in Dog Town Review: I really enjoyed Nine Lives in Dog Town. Sandy Rideout gave me a little suspense, mystery and fun. I liked Evie when faced with things that scare her she muddles though. Jon is fun and comes to the rescue on many occasions. I figured out who the culprit was from the start. My biggest complaint is it is very slow moving.

Lost and Found in Dog Town Review: This is my favorite of the Dog Town Series so far. In my opinion there is a lot of suspense and who done it mystery. In my opinion Sandy Rideout did a pretty good job of portraying struggling single mom of teenage boy. The antics of The Rescue Mafia crew make me laugh. I used to do obedience training and Cori is a lot like I was, accept she is a little on the untactful side. Most of the stuff she says I agree with. Mim got on my nerves and her not being more assertive with her son. I did know who the culprit was from the start. Some things were a little predictable.

Calm and Bright in Dog Town Review: I found this one a little sad, sense I'm one who has lost many dogs in my time. I found Denver and Flynn lacking in understanding on both of their parts. They both lacked in communication. Flynn is mourning the loss of her dog, but Denver wants his own dog. Both characters grated my nerves. I was entertained but would not recommend.

Tried and True in Dog Town Review: Marti just irritated me. She lets people walk all over her including her dog. I found her to be a hypocrite. The antics of all the dogs were humorous. Cori the dog trainer even when she is not tactful. I would love a Dog Town, I just don't like the twisted politics of it.

Yours and Mine in Dog Town Review: Yours and Mine in Dog Town made me laugh. I had it figured out from the start. In my opinion it's slow moving, I'm not sure why. Since book 1 the mayor thing is just too drawn out. I would think there are other things behind things in Dog Town. I liked Sasha and how she didn't give up on finding the culprit. I liked how Sasha and Griffin set aside their differences.

Great and Small in Dog Town Review: I enjoyed getting to know Hannah. She is gritty, strong and doesn't give up. I loved Hannah's spunk. I liked how The Rescue Mafia had her back no matter what. Cori makes me laugh thinking she knows all. Nick was so sweet and gave Hannah the room she needed to grow to care about him. The mystery factor was a little better hid than some of the other books. I figured out the culprit from the start.

Bold and Blue in Dog Town Review: In my opinion Bold and Blue in Dog Town was fun. I found the training aspect of the book the most realistic. I found some of the crap that the mayor pulls very sad. I found Kinney smart, strong and persistent and doesn't give up easily. I found James judgmental and finds fault in others instead of admitting some of his dogs problems are his fault. James did redeem his self in the end. Bold and Blue in Dog Town is my favorite so far.

Better or Worse in Dog Town Review: Well Better or Worse in Dog Town comes full circle. Where Ready or Not left off it comes back and clears up what happened to Bruce and Isla. Finally things get cleaned up in Dog Town. This brings back all couples we met through the Dog Town Series which was lots of fun. I enjoyed reading how the mayor squirmed through out the book. I really liked how Isla dealt with her niece, she listened paid attention and got help from the Rescue Mafia and especially Cori.

Overall I would not say the Mischief in Dog Town-The Complete Series (Dog Town #0-9) was okay. I would not recommend it's not worth the price. I got it for $0.99.

This collection reads very well as a series, although the individual books work OK on their own. All the same, I recommend reading the whole series, as we see the different characters - and the Princess and the Pig blog - develop. What ties the whole series together is the political situation, as we watch Dog Town and its doggy rules get slowly loopier - until someone comes to save the day and sort out the mess. There will be part of you that wishes Dog Town was real and that some town council would catch that vision... or at least the good bits of it.
The characters, human and animal, are memorable and charming. Cori would have to be one of the most notable, even though she doesn't get her romance. I thought she might have ended up with but he ends up . There's also a part of me that wants a pair of her gloves...
You'll learn a lot about dogs (and yes, I've tried one of the training techniques successfully), although I think Roberto the cat and Alvina the alpaca are too good to be true - but we'll give the author poetic license.
If you loved stories about animals when you were a child, you'll enjoy this grown-up version. They're feel-good tales with happy endings and very sweet.

I have read every book in this series in order and I love the characters, including Cori with her orange fingered glove! Bold & Blue was one of my favorites and it even goes into some of Cori’s training for dogs with problems, which I found very interesting. For Better or Worse wraps up everything nicely, although I wouldn’t be surprised if another book appears in the future – after all, Cori hasn’t found her perfect match yet! If you love dogs and interesting, sometime quirky characters, then I highly recommend this series, although I do suggest starting with the beginning so you can meet all the characters as they are introduced and grow.

Pretty, shallow, antagonistic...

If you like small minded people, petty immature dialog and the resultant drama, these books are for you. I read for the joy of it. Creative, beautiful imagery via words...meaningful dialog, excitement...even dark, but a well written page turner. I read a lot of different kinds of books....and I'm an animal lover. If I want this kind of shallow mentality, I'll go to work where it's (sadly) commonplace. I forced myself through the first two books and then deleted the series from my Kindle. There was nothing pleasant about these books.
So disappointing

A wonderful romantic cozy mystery series!

I am really enjoying reading through this series! I have been binge reading it for a few evenings now. I am about 2/3 of the way finished and find myself hurrying through chores to get back to the series as soon as possible. This series is a refreshing change from reading romantic cozy murder mysteries to mysteries that do not include murder. The Rescue Mafia are superheroes in my book. Cori is such a hoot! I wish I had her discipline to keep my little Chorkie on track. Charlie and I are more like Leo and Remi. He is almost always with me. Usually being carried by me. 😊

There is a sweet romantic story in each book to accompany the mystery to be solved. All-in-all, a great, clean, and fun bunch of cozy reads. I will be back to update my review after I finish the series.

I received an advance reader copy of this book from the author. This gift did not affect my review of the book. This review is my voluntary and honest opinion.

delightful

Welcome to Dorset Hills, Dog Town, where one woman’s dream of a dog-loving town has turned into a nightmare. The mayor micromanages dog owners, mistreats other pet owners, and misuses municipal funds for nefarious purposes. There is a small group of superheroes, however, determined to bring good sense and honesty back.

I love these books. They’re easy to read with few errors. The characters are easy to like. If you’re on the side of doing the right thing, I think you’ll enjoy the series.

Awesome series

So happy to have met this mafia of people!!!! All are animal lovers and help the community of people and pets. Cori is a main character in all the books, she seems to be everywhere at once. She keeps dogs and people in line by being the best trainer in the area. Love that it began and ended with Bruce and Isla. Those in between, are really great stories. I couldn't put it down and even dreamed of Dog Town. Thank you for an incredible series!

Dogs and Romance

This was a very long read, but the end was worth it.
Ultimately it's about a town that gets carried away by ego and needs to be set right.
In each story, there is a romance, usually of the "love at first sight" variety. "When you know, you know" applies to both human couples and dogs and their new owners. They are sweet, low drama romances.
The drama comes from the group thats rescues dogs and the seemingly evil plots by town leaders.

Loved every single book

Dogs and cats plus a dozen or more of orphaned squirrels have been part of my life. Reading these books re.index me of every one who lived in my life. My "this the one" was a very large gentle giant German Shepard named Moses. I took him as a foster and knew immediately he was mine. These books will make you laugh, cry stay immersed to the last page.

An excellent series

This a heartwarming set of stories about good people and dogs fighting against a mayor who.is about power rather than canine welfare.. Interesting characters, some suspenseful activities and a very satisfying ending.. Bravo Sandy Rideout. I enjoyed these stories greatly!

Fun and quirky

A very enjoyable set of books with lovable characters and engaging story lines. Excellent dialogue, well written and so much detail that I feel I know everyone from Evie, Isla and Hannah to Ari, Kim and Sasha. And Cori, of course! Give these a try if you're looking for a fun, light read, a little intrigue and a lot of romance.

Three Cheers for Dog Town!

Mischief in Dog Town is a most delightful and charming series, I couldn’t put down. As with any good book, I learned a lot. This time it was a great deal about dogs, different breeds, their characters and personalities. The human characters in the book were delightful. I wish they were my friends too.

Not the most exciting series I have ever read, but quite enjoyable in a safe and sweet way! However, the author really does need to use a proof-reader. Too many spelling and grammatical errors - and, worst of all, one book is set in a time period prior to the previous volume so that the outcome of the sub-plot is already known!

Best series I've read all year!

The Dog Town story kept me reading until I reached the very end. The characters and their animals were full of life and fun, and the fight to replace an arrogant mayor was a real winner. This series of books was amazing and I highly recommend it to everyone who loves animals and cozy mysteries.

I really wish the site wouldn't lump books together like this, There were 2 of these that I didn't like at all, Most of them were good, the last one was super awesome, and I would have rated it higher than a "5".
I do wish that Cori would have had a book. I guess she's just to independent to be married.

So far I’ve only read 2 of this series. Very relaxing. I know some of the characters from another series (Bought the Farm, which I love!) I’m a dog lover & a town know for its love affair with dogs appeals to me. Looking forward to getting to know more about everyone involved.

I totally enjoyed this series. The books can be read alone but is best reading in order. Each of the characters are dog lovers and will do everything they can to make sure that Dog Town is the best it can be for the dogs and the people that adore them.

A Breed of their own

Each story was well written. I found it easy to feel as though I was right there with each character. I love that each dog brought forth the best of its breed and its human. Really a very enjoyable series.

Charming!

I loved meeting all of the characters in this series. The dogs were an extra bonus. Having a group of women who passionately loved dogs and cared about their well-being added to my enjoyment of these stories. I also appreciated that good won out over evil. More please!

Fun!!

Purchased the box set and enjoyed reading the adventures as one long story. The characters were well developed and the stories intertwined as they wrapped up in the last book.

Wonderful

A wonderful collection of stories about a quirky town, true love, and dogs. (Not necessarily in that order.) Well written with great characters, this series keeps you laughing (and crying) until the very end. Long Live Dog Town!

Delightful!!! Loved the plots, the characters, the dogs and even the cat; but most of all, excellent writing and/or editing to eliminate grammar or spelling errors that can be so distracting and interfere with reading ease and enjoyment. Thank you Sandy Rideout for hours of good reading fun!!!

Fun for Dog Lovers everywhere

This is more like one very long novel but it is filled with love and laughter as a series of dog rescuers meet their matches. Dogs and handsome men abound in each new adventure as the dark side of Dog Town is revealed in the light.

This was a set of 11 books and, as is often the way, a bit uneven in quality. I certainly enjoyed the stories, but some were better than others. I wouldn't have liked to live in Dorset Hills! Very good.
