“It’s time for our queen to reign,” and with a wave of Absinthe's hand, my entire world went up in flames.
The stage is set, the game in motion. Hunters, angels, and demons alike, sit in the stands to await my fate.
Seven trials in Heaven and Hell will decide if I live or die, but when I can’t tell reality from illusion or good from evil anymore, I start to wonder what kind of chance I really have at winning.
Confused and acting on instinct alone, I feel like I’m already failing.
I’d better get it together and figure it out fast though because if I don’t, it’s not just going to be my life being sacrificed…
All lives will be at stake.
Welcome to the gauntlet, Becks.

Cilla Raven is an indie author that lives in North Carolina with her husband, five children, and a big fluffy Great Pyrenees named Luna. She’s an obsessive reader that cusses too much and has too much attitude to take seriously from her four foot eleven frame.

She constantly has stories running through her mind from the depths of her own complicated, funny, sometimes dark, and scary subconscious that eat at her until she has no choice but to write them down. She falls for all of her characters; even the “bad” ones, knowing that they probably didn’t start out that way. So is life or whatever.

Cilla has a pants-off after 10 p.m. mentality, loves music and dancing in her underwear, dirty humor, playing video games, funny animal videos (probably more than is necessary), and good food to name a few of the many things that excite her.

Hopefully, this lets you get to know her a little better, but if you still have questions, don’t be shy! Send her an email or hit her up on Facebook and Twitter. She’d love to hear from you!

The long awaited and dreaded gauntlet is here! What I loved about this part of the book is that it really emphasized the balance between Hell and Heaven, good and bad. The Hell trials were a nightmare...literally. Becks had to fight her most terrifying fears and doubts each step of the way. A battle of mind and body, she found herself making decisions that made her feel ashamed as well as powerful at the same time. Whereas the most of the Hell trials were focused on decisions based on actions, the Heaven trials were the complete opposite, focusing on decisions of the mind and heart. Compared to the trials in Hell, Heaven's trials may have seemed a bit anticlimactic, but they still put Becks' mind into complicated scenarios that really made her focus on what she would do for others instead of for herself, even if it involved someone who was known to do harm. Being selfless and being able to forgive were a big part of these trials, showing how Becks could look at different points of view of a situation to make the best decision overall. However, this book wasn't just all go go go with the gauntlet. You definitely get to see the relationships with Becks and the guys develop a little bit more in this book as well. I really enjoyed the separate time she allotted for each guy to get to know them better and get onto their level by doing the hobbies they enjoyed best. Those connections just keep building and you can tell it isn't just a sexual kind of attraction. There is more there that I'm excited to explore in future books. I think the one guy that surprised me the most was Absinthe. In the previous book he was talked up as someone that was rather heartless and to be wary of. But I actually ended up liking the guy. There's way more to him than just wishes and deals. He has a heart that's just been waiting to be taken and I sincerely believe that he has good intentions when it comes to Becks. After the lonely life he's been leading, I think he deserves a change. So far, this series has been an exciting one. With the power balance and exchange between Becks and the guys, things are just starting to get good! After that cliffhanger, I know the next book is going to be one heck of a ride. But I have to be honest. I'm still secretly hoping for more people to be added to the harem as the series continues. *Shrugs*

This is the third book in the series and picks up right where we left off at the end of the second book. We went straight to the gauntlet with Becks and what a wild ride it was. Of course, we were left at a cliff hanger as there will be another book in the series and I can’t wait for it! We learned more about each of the guys in this story and Brax as well. The devotion each of the guys has for Becks is shown more in this book. My favorite part was Absinthe. Not only did we get to learn more about him, but what he does for Becks with no regard to himself shows how much he does truly love her. Becks gets to spend a little one on one time with each of the guys and Brax in this book and it helped further the character development in my opinion. There was a little about each of them we got to see, and secrets were revealed. Adam about broke my heart with his stories. The emotions he hides so well on an everyday basis is heartbreaking and devastating. I was happy to see them all continue to open up to Becks more. The growth Becks has can’t be dismissed either. She is learning to trust herself and her guys in ways she has never been able to trust before. Her connection to her power is also growing and I am loving the direction it is taking. I am eagerly looking forward to the next book to see what happens next!

It was good but i honestly SPOILER ALERT

I don't want Absinthe in the harem, i feel like it's an unpopular opinion but it feels so weird knowing he was the reason for her parents death. Not directly but still, and that he made the deal so brax couldn't help her thorough out her life. And i don't understand how she can forgive that , i just thought that he had spelled her or something in the last book. Cause it was a bit weird how welcoming and accepting she was, against a demon who indirect had a very bad Impact on her life. And i love the dynamic with the three guys , her and brax, and i don't really see Absinthe fitting into that. Honestly i kinda hoped he would die as he thought, so he would have redeemed himself in that way. But nope so i will just have get on Board hopefully i like him more in the next book
It was fun seeing that she apparently had dads and a family, a part of me wanted her to rage at them and be like you're 18 years to late or something. But they seem protective so i hope there will be more interactions.
Cilla raven is a new author for me so i will probably be checking out more of her work!

Becks story continues as she is thrown in to the Gauntlet, her men are powerless to help and all everyone can do is hope Becks is ready for what lies ahead.

I really enjoyed the Hell trials, they were dark and twisted and exactly what you would expect from the side of evil. The heaven trials I found really anti climactic with the only excitement coming when the men lost control of their powers. There were a few twist I wasn’t expecting and this book is a real rollercoaster of emotions. I found Becks bonding with her Kings gave me goosebumps.

I’ve given this book 4 1/2 stars because it felt too wordy at places, it eases off towards end but there were a few times earlier on that I wondered if the author had been playing with a thesaurus, some sentences were more complicated then they needed to be. Despite This I’m completely obsessed with Becks story and can’t wait to see what comes next.

Dang dude?!?!?!

That ending though!?!?!?! Like wait what?!?

First: I love that the human world was in chaos with masks and toilet paper issues.... lol.

Second: the characters definitely developed in this story in many ways.

Third: this trials were awesome! So well thought out and brought a lot of depth and story to the story itself.

Fourth: this book read so smooth and quickly.

Fifth: finally some *ahem* intimate parts happened.

Sixth: interesting, very interesting world and story building occurred in this book.

Lastly: I need the next book!

Overall this story was full of great world building, plot and character growth (some stagnation depending on the character), lots of life lessons, insights and plenty of relationships. This story was well executed, creative and thought out. I loved it to be honest and can’t wait for the next one. Also that ending was rough! Why a cliffhanger, so cruel!

Wow, just wow. I really love how this book picks right back up where we left off in the second: with Becks starting her Gauntlet Trials in hell. I REALLY loved how in her trials, she is forced to face her fears, forced to accept who she is. I feel like Becks really grew in this book.
I love how during the 24 hour intermission between the hell and heaven trials, she spends time with each of her team members and Abstinthe. She learns more about each guy, becomes closer to each of them, and the scenes are just super sweet. We get to learn more about why the guys are the way they are. I really enjoyed reading about Adam and his past.
Such a good book, can’t wait for the next.

becks story continues in this next book and it was good read minus little bit of things i didnt like being forced on becks in what seemed unnesscarry way but there may yet be reason for it we shall see but yes overall loved seeing becks go through trials and come through them was also good seeing becks make time for all her guys despite all that was going on as well as seeing things from the others perspectives too interested to see what happens next for becks and her guys and all the rest of the characters

I have to say that I really enjoy the world in this series, it's phenomenal. All the layers and sections, reasons for this and reasons for that. This is where this authors specialness really shines.

I have this love/hate relationship with the main charactets in this sereies. The FMC just let's them (all the men in her life - not just the guys) take over her life and boss her around. Towards the end of this book it gets better which is why I gave it 4 stars.

This world is exquisite and I can't wait to read the next book.

Now what?

This is the first series of the author as far as I can tell. Seems to have been written last year. This third book says published November 2020. The story seems good but there seems to be something missing. Vague even. That is what has kept me going til this seemingly last book. In the description there was a reference to another but I can find nothing. I've really gotten no answers to so many questions. Much like the FMC. Hopefully , since its been a year, something is planned to either continue or end this series . Let me know.

This slow-burn fantasy RH is so great. Becks is immediately thrown into her trials and all her guys can do is watch as she re-lives some of her worst nightmare and make decisions that could possibly alter everything. Her trials in hell were so intense but then in heaven I felt like we just kinda skipped over the good parts. I’m not sure yet how I feel about Absinthe. Now, all I need to know is who the heck is Roland!

Amazing continuation to the series. Becks is a strong mc and is smart mouthed too. In this book she has to go through her trials to become a hunter. There are twists and turns throughout the story that keep you engaged and her guys are right there with her supporting her the best they can. Absinthe is now my favorite guy, especially after what he did for Becks. It ends in a cliffhanger and I can't wait to see what happens next.

This book took me away from my everyday reality to a world that I could relax and not worry about the day to day things. It moved along at a great pace which made reading easy. You will fall in love with these characters and you want to be there for them no matter what they need to do. The story will grab you and keep you reading till you reach the end and then you are wanting ore. This book needs to be on your list of books, no doubt about it.

I thought it was a good continuance of the previous book. The last book ended with Becks being dropped into the gauntlet. This book covers her time there and answers questions about her guys, the Jinn who she's tied to now, and who she really is. While I found the angels test a bit vague (I think I would have preferred something a little more involved like the demon's test) overall it's a good book. Read it!

Amazing third book in this series! Love the detail that Cilla puts into her books. This series is amazing, the characters are so unique but they mix so well together as a whole. We even got a closer look at absinthe the jinn and got to understand him alot better too. But Tyler is defintley my favourite guy out of them all! Would highly recommend reading this series you will seriously not regret it. Looking forward to the next book.

Got an ARC in exchange of an honest opinion.

It's time for Becks to take on the gauntlet, the hunter's queen crown and her kings. We see a little more about her and the guys past. Things are getting busier and the war is getting closer. I feel really bad about Adam's past and want to hug him a lot. He's getting to be my favorite. It's good to see a little more about Tina's tragedy and understand her reasons better. I need book 4 ASAP!

I love this series, I tend to have a bit of an obsession with the reverse harem genre as a whole so lately I have been a bit burnt out. Stumbling upon this series has been wonderful, it's a breath of originality that is needed in what seems to be a genre that has been stagnating in my opinion. With that being said, am I the only one that is hoping that Asmodeus and Michael are added to the harem in future novels?! ♡♡♡

This is the third book in the beholden series and it was really good. I love that Becks has a smart mouth and is strong. I LOVE Brax! (I want a Brax of my own) He is so protective of Becks and the guys. In this book you get to know more about the guys and about Becks and they way to become a hunter. I can't wait until the next book.

This is by far my favourite book in the series so far. I loved the different aspects of the trials in the gauntlet, the story line developed seamlessly and it was such an enjoyable read I didn't want it to end. I love Becks and her guys and the addition of Absinthe to the group was a nice surprise.
I can wait to see what happens next!!

I’m not usually a lover of a slow-burn story but this series has kept me intrigued all the way through!

I have loved reading about the trials but most of all I have loved seeing the relationship between Becks and the guys grow. Especially when she spends some quality one on one time with them.

I really look forward to finding out what happens next!

Another great installment to the series. I can't wait for book 4. This one was everything you expect from a RH plus action packed. I loved it and I am in love with this series and the characters. The chemistry between them is awesome.

Becks enters the Gauntlet which is full of so many surprising and character building tests. Meanwhile her friends and family continue carry on saving the world behind the scenes. The clues to what's coming are everywhere but did they catch them in time only time will tell. Such a great read..

Great Adventure

Loved the world building and backstories of the characters. This is a novel filled with adventure where the main female character finds herself throughout the adventure. Can’t wait for more bonding with her kings in the next book. Great series!

Wonderful

Book 3 in a series and it picks up where book 2 left off. Cilla Raven once again does a great job pulling you into the world she has built. I loved the whole concept of the gauntlet. I hope we see Becks add some more men to her harem. I will definitely be reading book four
