Can Michael pull all the pieces together in time to avoid disaster?
Another fast pace, page turner from D. Ward Cornell. Buckle your seat belt and get ready for the ride.
D. Ward Cornell lives on the Kohala Coast of the Big Island of Hawaii. His career as an engineer, consultant, and entrepreneur has taken him all over the world. Many of those places and elements of those cultures are featured in his writing.
Although still dabbling in those fields, his passion now is bring stories to life.
The book is fast paced with multiple story lines going at the same time. This, for me, made the book very intense, switching from the marriage of Michael and Sarah, to the plans to destroy the Enemy's home world, to trying to catch the person sabotaging, to discussions and negotiations for trade deals, to mining operations. The book has a LOT of detail, as I said about the previous one, kinda like a movie script with so many steps and actions described. This book finally introduces more of the alien species in the Confederation.
One thing that really surprised me was the lack of concern by the characters about the person sabotaging things. It was not until near the end of the book that they caught that person. Also, I was surprised that a person could occupy more than one avatar at one time. That's one way the saboteur got away with some much.
I think I will read some of a different series before I move on to the final book in this series.
Love the story. Strong characters , lots of action.
This is a page turner. I love all the different characters, the description of each alien species is great, you can picture them in your mind. Each one of them is unique in some way. Plenty of drama and suspense. Would love to see this portrayed in movie form with sequels, but loved reading all four books so far, looking forward to the next one.
Love these books. Such a feel-good story. Good storyline and so much emotion! I know these people. Are they all human? No, but so endearing. The MC Michael is like ET on steroids. Trying to save Earth from the evil Aliens. Now I find out there's a book five. Woohoo!
I have thoroughly enjoyed reading the series so far. I am anxiously awaiting book 5 in the series. The author really helps you connect with the characters. The action and suspense will keep you engaged through all the books. I have deliberately waited till the last available book at this time to leave a review, if I could I would rate it higher than 5 stars.
Another fun and engaging storyline, continued development of existing characters and introduction and development for a few new ones. Somme details were meticulous and while perhaps not essential to the plot, served to improve the storyline. Ends on a rare positive note, with most story threads resolved.
Ordinary books describe a scene. Cornell engineers a scene, the futuristic devices in it and even lets you attend the engineering conferences with the designers. You’ll need a wall-sized chart to keep track of all the Ambassadors planets , subplots and characters. This book has a bunch of moving parts. Enjoy!
This story of the Galactic Confederation including Earth and humans taking their technology and improving it by leaps and bounds. The only thing I feel is wrong with this story is that humans would want colonies before helping the other sentients.
So many good things about this series. The back and forth finally klicked in for me. Characters and mostly honorable beings. But what is a book without drama. Bad guys are there but handled.
Loved all the inner stories from meeting a planet that had no knowledge of other organism and other races. Good pacing and a great story with big action at the end
There is so much going on in this book. The entrance to space travel by a new race, conspiracy by an old race and a marriage combining old and new! All of these plot lines combined make this book one that’s hard to put down. Thanks for another great read!
I have been incredibly impressed with the scientific details in this series. I honestly get lost in reading the story and how believable it is. Makes me wish we could have a real "Revelation" on earth one day.
This entire series is exceptional. I've thoroughly enjoyed reading a Future Earth story with Rodenberry-esque optimism instead of the usual dystopian hysteria.
I'm just enjoying the story now. I like how the bad guys scale to maintain tension. I also like how the author includes all the economic deals and the logistics of building the Earth economy.
