A Vy svým časem.

Zajisté, do toho.

Calder Welles II

Ok, so:
1) The hero is a jerk, ex man-ho, we have this scene with him and his ONS (without hot details). HE says he is “broken”, he says “i dont want be like my father” but he treat his ONS just the same disrespectful way... He is faithful to h after meeting her. In 8 days he is in love with her (roll my eyes..., Really??!!!??))
2) The heroine is strong woman, she has her small business. She has a shitty parents. “Hippy” parents. She didnt give a shit, she left this jerk behind and went to live her life.

He went to get her...
Happy end
Epilogue 5 years after

4 Stars!

Another fun story by this talented author. She definitely has a unique style of storytelling and the ability to pair "opposites attract" type characters.

If I had one gripe, it would be that I didn't feel some issues were resolved with Calder and his dad, made me a little sad. However, she made up for it with a lovely satisfying epilogue.

P.S. I Dare You ends the P.S. series beautifully. It's about two people who couldn't stand each other but was forced by circumstance to be together.

Calden perfected the anti-hero persona right from the very beginning. He's rude, nonchalant, and really a pain in the ass to everyone he meets. While Airen is the exact opposite of him. She's very organized, pleasing personality, hard-working and it's no wonder she's the most sought-after P.A.

Their first meeting wasn't that great, to say the least --- he bumping to her and spilling her coffee on her blouse without a backward glance. And when they met again that after evening they end up having some sexy time in the bar's bathroom. The following morning Airen was introduced to her new boss, Calden.

It was an engaging story that I finished in one sitting. The plot was articulately written with characters that are enjoyable to read and learning where their attitude towards each other is coming from makes you understand them better. And the sexual tension whenever these two are working side by side is just too much. Winter Renshaw didn't disappoint with this one. So, if you're into the enemy-to-lovers story, I recommend this one.

So first of all, before I start this review, I just wanna say - no one recommended this to me, no goodreads suggestion, no library find, no favorite author pick, no arc. Nothing.

This was a pure random find on the epub site after I was busy searching for I dare you by IIsa Madden Mills (and that one was much better, compared to this one, too bad though, I have to restart that one).

I thought at first - damn, look at the cover. Pure sin for my eyes, but I loooved it.

2. The summary was cliched as hell and I liked it- but then again I do choose the non-original ones for some strange reason.

Those two reasons had convinced me enough to try this novel out.

But damn the heroine was too whiny for my taste, the hero was too much of a teenage douchebag (even though he was a full grown adult) and the whole setting of their situation was wonky as hell.

So the novel tested my patience real well, and I bailed. I couldn't help it, it was too terrible for me to digest.

Hence why the two stars and the big DNF.

Until the next read,

TMR

P.S. I Dare You is the book 3( final bk) in the PS series which features Calder and Aerin. This story is about two main characters who are lost souls, people that are harboring crushing pain from their pasts and people who think on3 way about one another when really they are totally mistaken about things. They are forced by circumstance to be together and in being forced together, find that by just accepting
things as they are , they have been settling with mediocre and that then leads to them realizing they aren’t truly happy.
Calder and Aerin are amazing characters - theirs is an opposites attract story. I dare not say too much for I would give too much of the story away and you know what that means-- SPOILERS!! The story is heartfelt, inspiring, intense, steamy, hot, sweet and lovely. heart, This story is about overcoming life's challenges, to find courage in the face of fear, just release and let go, and in the end embrace life's fantastic possibilities. As always, author Winter Renshaw wrote a compelling and fascinating romantic story with unique and exciting characters.

My Rating: 4.8 stars *****

Blurb:
Dear Ms. Keane,

Before this ridiculous little arrangement commences, I’d like to make myself indubitably clear: I know who you are, I know that my father hired you, I know why my father hired you, and lastly, your services aren’t needed.

In fact, I want no part of my father’s billion-dollar empire, and him “gifting” me with one of the “best concierges in the county” won’t change that. He’s wasting his money. You’re wasting your time.

However, seeing as how you foolishly signed an ironclad contract with an Act of God clause and my father has strong-armed me into taking this position, it appears as though we’re stuck together—at least until your contract is up next month.

That said, our time together at WellesTech should be relatively painless but please don’t fool yourself into thinking I don’t notice when that pretty little stare lingers a little too long or the way your breath catches when our hands graze. You’re fascinated by me and it kills you because you can hardly stand to be in the same room as me.

Think I’m a problem worth solving? An impossible riddle worth figuring out? By all means, go ahead and try. Solve for X. Crack the code. It might even be fun (but only for me, not you).

V/r,

Calder Welles, II

Calder and Aerin are the coolest couple. They had a rocky start, but they are both aware of their shortcomings, they can read each other pretty well and for the most part they are adult about things and do not put up with any BS. God, I loved getting to know these two! Calder isn't the stuck up, God's gift to women playboy and Aerin is a no-nonsense, level headed woman who's slightly OCD. When you hear about her parents it will make sense.
Calder's dad is a manipulative piece of work and gets Calder to come back to the company under false pretenses. Aerin is hired by dear old dad to help Calder transition into running the company. Ironically, hiring her turns out to be the best thing the old man ever did for his son! I loved how they didn't get stupid around each other (ya know, "omg, he/she is so hot I can't think straight") The back and forth is just right (cuz it's a confusing/complicated situation) but no stupid high school crap, no OW/OM, just two people learning to like and deal with each other as they get glimpses of each other that no one else gets. Other characters are introduced and I really liked all of them, but Aerin and Calder.........oh, they were just meant to be. So, all in all a very well written story about two awesome people that I will probably re-read when I need a palate cleanse. You can't go wrong with Ms. Renshaw!!! Completely recommend!!!!

Calder Welles wants nothing to do with the father who shunted him aside when Calder's beloved mother died, dropping the kid off at a brutal military boarding school, then ignoring him as he grew old enough to fend for himself. Calder is hot as Hades on the outside and cold as ice when it comes to women - he craves variety and a tether-free existence, relying on nobody but himself. When he receives an unwanted phone call from his estranged father's assistant, he is unpleasantly surprised to learn that the old man is dying and needs to discuss his estate planning with Calder. Reluctantly, Calder meets to find out that he either has to step up to the plate and take over his father's business or it will be sold to the company that was responsible for his mother's death. Even worse, the job comes with a temporary assistant that his father hired under an air-tight contract. That role is filled (at great expense) by the best facilitator around: Aerin Keane. Uptight, somewhat (ok, totally) OCD, driven and stunning, Aerin is Calder's worst dream: as organized as he is chilled, she's the very worst kind of temptation. From their initial unhappy encounter, where they literally bump into each other in the office hallway with unfortunate coffee-stained results, through their first working week, the pair spark and flame off each other, unsure whether to kiss or kill the other. This story has fabulous character development and some great seriously hot chemistry.

P.S. I Dare You revolves around Aerin and Calder. Two people who can't stand each other, but were forced by circumstance to work together.

Aerin and Calder's first encounter wasn't great, to say the least. From that moment on their dislike of each other started. And when they come face-to-face again it's only to find out they'll be working closely together. And thus begins the chaos and torrent of attraction.

Aerin and Calder are both misunderstood. It would seem they're complete opposites, but as they get to know each other, they realize they're more alike than they think. Aerin brought out the best in Calder and made him realize it was okay to be vulnerable. They really were the perfect pair, quirks and all.

P.S. I Dare You was an enjoyable read with likable characters. A sweet romance without the frills of an excessive about of drama. A great way to end the P.S. series.

To anyone else, this is just an ordinary Southern California Saturday morning, but to me, it's just another day in paradise.

Gosh, I love this P.S. Series by Winter.
Everytime I fall in love with the story and everytime I fall hard for her characters.

I so hope this isn't the last book in the series. I want more.

Just didnt click with me

This book, by an author I usually enjoy, just didnt click with me I didnt like the characters, I couldn't connect with them, and sadly I didnt feel or believe their "love". The book felt rushed and hollow. I was excited to read this since I enjoyed the first two PS books so much, but this was a miss for me.

Hrdina v osmnácti odešel středem a pohrdl svěřeneckým fondem. Teď je bohatý. Nepobrala jsem, jak zbohatl, popř. čím se vlastně živí. Protože kromě pití, cestování a souložení nedělá nic.

Za dvacet minut stojím před The Lowery.
s. 106 ale bydlím odsud dvacet minut chůze
Takže dvacet minut mu trvá chůze z bodu A do bodu B. Stejně tak dlouho mu trvá chůze z bodu A k autu (půl bloku) a jízda autem do bodu B.
Aha.

A redaktorce to nepřišlo zvláštní?

Tedy u bratra. “THANKS FOR LETTING ME stay here.”

Who the hell walks that close to a door that could swing open at any given moment? Walk in the middle of the hall for fuck’s sake.

s. 61 naliju si dva panáky skotské
I fix myself two fingers of single malt Scotch

s. 119 „Jsem tu jenom čtyři týdny.“
Tedy „na čtyři týdny“. “I’m only here four more weeks.”

I can’t believe I ran into you on Houston of all places

s. 146
Nejsem si úplně jistá, že On the left hand side je „Na levé straně“.

uvozovky - s. 222

Aerin is a concierge, meaning she does things for people. She organizes their lives. She runs their errands. She assists them without interfering in their lives. Basically she's a PA but not really because she owns her own business and only works for people who really need, and ask for, her help. But when Calder Welles I offers her enough money to wipe out her student loans, all to assist his son as his son takes over his father's empire, she accepts. And it should have been that simple. Except it wasn't, not the least because Calder II didn't really want to take over his father's empire. He didn't even like his father. And he damn sure didn't like Aerin's help, nor did he want it or ask for it. But in the end he was grateful his father foisted a concierge upon him, because in the short time Aerin worked for him, he fell hard for her, but not without first being a Class A dick to her, from their very first meeting to the time he got her into his bed.

Although Aerin and Calder fell for each other in a very short amount of time (classic case of insta-love), it was all in a sweet, believable way. I'm not exactly saying I believe they actually loved each other in such a short time, but their connection was believably strong from their first less than friendly meeting. They're both slightly (OK, more than slightly) damaged souls, and seeing them come together was fun to read and it made me really like P.S. I Dare You. It's my favorite of this series, by far, mostly because as a couple, they just mesh effortlessly. I have a thing for damaged souls and both these two were definitely that. That they fell for a fellow damaged soul was ironic, but pretty fitting. Although I'm sad this series is apparently ending with this story, it's a great way to conclude what has been a sexy, emotional series. I wonder what Winter Renshaw will give us next?

**4.00 BLUSHES**

Aerin Keane is known for being the exceedingly capable and perfect personal assistant whose competence has earned her a YAY high client waitlist. She is a straight forward woman with OCD tendencies owed to how she was raised by her non-traditional parents.

Calder Welles is cold as ice. His father, a man driven by nothing but success, is nonexistent in Calder’s life. He’s lost the one person who loved him – his mother – which has colored his entire life. Transitory one night stands and no emotional entanglements of any kind is the norm.

Ironically, it is Welles Sr. who brings them both together after finding out that he is dying. His house must be put in order, or in this case, a billion dollar conglomerate knows as WellesTech. Calder must take the reins of WellesTech and learn at his father’s right hand or it will be sold to the company he blames for his mother’s death. Aerin is made an offer she can’t refuse, an exorbitant $300,000 dollars for a one month assignment as Calder’s assistant. Being hired the by old man automatically puts Aerin in the cross hairs as far as Calder is concerned. Calder as much as he hates his father, treats employees and people as if they are disposable. Calder storms out of his father’s office and smacks right into Aerin, causing her to spill her coffee all over her blouse. His response? “Watch where you’re walking.” Needless to say not the best way to begin a working relationship.

Interesting that they have both been so affected by their parents that it carries into how they live their lives as adults. Each one content in their cursory existence with nothing of substance in their personal or professional lives that brings them real joy. P.S. I Dare You was a little different from what I’ve been reading lately. There was no bodice ripping fantasies. No mind games here. Instead we get to know two people who are brought together by circumstances which are not ideal, find they are increasingly attracted to one another. Vacillating between the urge to tear each other’s clothes off or tear each other’s heads off. Once they accept that there is something there, how do they each unpack the emotional luggage they’ve been carrying? Ultimately they learn that it’s ok to let down the walls, to open up and let someone else in, to trust that the heart is resilient and that the fear of being hurt is human.

Though I found the instalove not realistic for a character like Calder, overall I enjoyed the banter and the way the relationship resolved itself. I need angst, steam and characters that are not doormats and I got all that here. It’s not all roses but that’s ok – that’s life. At the end of the day, the old man was right - Aerin and Calder were a perfect match.

I read “P.S. I Hate You” and “P.S. I Miss You” by Winder Renshaw and was so happy to read and review “P.S. I Dare You “featuring Calder and Aerin. I love stories about lost souls and both of them are harboring pain from their past, especially Calder. They are both misunderstood, and accept things as they are settling with the fact that they aren’t truly happy. On the surface it appears as if they are complete opposites (she is neat, orderly, and a planner, and Calder is not so organized, takes one day at a time, and is more adventurous), but after they spend time together they realize they have a lot in common including their values, empathy, and trust.

They meet for the first time at a bar and have an instant physical attraction, and come to realize that Calder is the son of her new boss and her next assignment. His father hired her to be his Calder’s assistant while he reluctantly takes over the family business.

What I like about this book is that it’s not all easy going. Calder has a difficult relationship with his father and it doesn’t end with them making peace, but sometimes that’s real life. I like books that make you feel and relate to the characters through the words on the pages, and that is what this book did.

Aerin brought out the best in him and made him realize that it was okay to feel hurt and vulnerable. Aerin was a perfectionist and being in love could be messy and made her uncomfortable. I liked how he was able to be honest with his feelings and how he fought for her to realize they were meant to be, even when she was scared.

I just loved Aerin so much! Her quirks, personality, and the way she spoke were adorable. She was true to herself, smart, successful, and could hold her own. She also was not intimidated by the CEO, Cadler’s dad, which is a quality I admire in a heroine.

I loved how she came to terms with her feelings, including how she felt about her own parents who were far from the norm. This story takes you on a journey of how they meet and tackle life’s difficult moments, how they open up to one another, and how they choose to be together knowing that it may not always be easy. I like how they were a team, how they made sacrifices for each other, how they enjoyed the simple things, and how they appreciated all that they had in the end.

I am hoping Aerin’s doctor brother, Rush, gets a story of his own next! He deserves a HEA too!

This is my fourth Winter Renshaw book and I have a feeling that it will be my last, which I am really sad about actually.
My first book by this lovely Author was Absinthe and you guys I LOVED IT and I still do. Without even much thinking I dived into the first book of this Serie -I didn’t like it. So I gave the second book a shot, spoiler alert I didn’t like that one either. And guess what me being the masochist I am I had to read the latest book P.S. I Dare You.

All was good in the first few chapters; I really liked our heroine she seemed to be on top of her game and all femme fatale-ish. I had high expectations, no lie there. I mean we got to see that woman in the beginning of the book but as the story went on there was no trace of that woman. and I kept asking myself
“where is this highly requested concierge? Will we ever got to meet her?”
But all we got was a run-of-the-mill heroine with an even more plain storyline. It really hurts me to write this review since I really really loved Absinthe

If there is one thing that this book or series taught me it’s that I will be a picky reader from this day forward.

Wow, I loved Aerin and Calder. She's uptight, straight A, and has a lot of OCD! She loves order in her life and chaos is damaging to her soul. She's a personal concierge and Calder Welles Sr. hires her to help Calder Welles II. To help him easily transition into role of owner of his father's empire.

But Calder and his father have not been close for a very long time. In fact, Calder hates his father and the only reason he's stepping up is because of who his father plans on selling the company to.

I loved Calder and as I read, I understood why he was the way he was with his father. And to the way he reacted when Aerin cleans his apartment. He is free and flighty and likes to be spontaneous but Aerin has no idea how to let loose, unless she's dared too.

This is a sweet romance and no huge drama or conflict. Which I was kinda looking for. But, nonetheless it was a great read and a fab way to end the P.S series.

“PS. I Dare You” by Winter Renshaw is one terrific book. I want to share so much about this book but I hate spoilers so I’m going to hold myself back. The two main characters Aerin and Calder, are both amazing well developed characters. You can’t help but fall in love with each of them. Calder is being forced to take over his father’s empire and Aerin is the personal assistant hired to help Calder. This book is wonderful. I love an author who can take you completely out of your day to day life and immerse you into a book so thoroughly that you feel like you’re standing in the room watching everything take place as you read it. I finished this book in one sitting with smile on my face knowing that it was well worth my time and attention. Winter Renshaw once again did an amazing job capturing so much within the pages of this book. I voluntarily reviewed an advanced copy of this book.

I have a thing for opposite attracts stories and this one had all the feels. Aerin and Calder couldn’t be more different and it showed every step of the way throughout the book. One of my favorite parts was Aerin telling Calder “Choose Your Regrets”. That part will always stay with me.

I have to admit Aerin got on my nerves a little. Sorry, but she did. I wanted to shake her and tell her to lighten up, to let loose a little. But at the same time, I wanted Calder to be more open and not be such a jack ass. Man, that guy… I wanted to punch him a few times but wow, was he a hot character. So, what I hated about the two, I actually loved. I’m weird like that.

As much as I loved this storyline, I felt the ending was a little rushed. Overall, the story was good and I really enjoyed seeing the characters grow. I would definitely read more from this author and would recommend her books.

I really enjoyed Aerin and Calder's story. This was a great read about to people who because of there upbringing have a hard time letting their guard down. Aerin comes from parents who are free spirits and never really set boundaries or forced rules on her. Hoping she would learn to not be so ridged and uptight. Calder came from a background of discipline and structure along with a father who was distant. The two are very attracted to one another yet seem to fight it. Calder is not use to women turning him down even though he is done with committed relationships. Aerin craves structure and order in her life and someone who will be on her side. The two make an unlikely pair. The beauty of it is that they both understand each other and accept the other one for who they are. This is a well written book and I thoroughly enjoyed it. Wonderful HEA!

I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Yeees! I really liked this one!

Aerin was sweet but strong. She didn't let anyone talk her down, she earned her place in business and it's considered the best at what she does.
Calder had a traumatic childhood that affected his whole life and, not only that, he had Calder Wells for a father and that messed him up even more. He is closed up, has trust issues and believes he doesn't have a heart or the ability to love.
These two are the absolute opposites from one another but here's where they'll find what they need the most. Love.

This was a really good read. It was funny and the hate between them gave the story some fire. I enjoyed it.
Winter is a great writer, and those covers are absolutely amazing!!!

The last in the P.S. series and a really great finish.
Both characters have come from dysfunctional families....Aerin from hippy parents who lived life free and easy and Calder from a life with a workaholic father leaving him in loveless solitude. Neither of them realise they are lost until they meet each other.... total opposites, they can't help but be drawn to each other.
I loved aerin, she was feisty and didn't take any rubbish from anyone. She knows her own mind and has an order to her life which I totally respected.
Calder started as a bit of an a$$ but we know deep down it is a front and he is really a big softy.
Yet another winner from Winter, a quick read but definitely kept me engrossed.
I received an arc from booksprout and I am choosing to leave a review

Alle bøgerne i P.S. serien kan læses uafhængigt, men de supplerer hinanden virkelig godt.

Nr. 3, P.S.

This was another enjoyable read in the series. In this we have Aerin and Calden. Who are very different people. Aerin is hired by Calden's father to help get him to agree to taking over the company. I can honestly say that I understand why Calden and his father didn't get along. His father is way worse then he was. Thankfully by the end Calden got better and I was happy for him and Aerin. Even though it was rough getting there.
