However, I like this author so I took a chance. What I found so funny was the dad when he found out his son was trying to get with "T-baby". The hero's parents use vernacular similar to the black culture, so for a minute I could not figure out if he was black or white. That was cleared up. And, oh my goodness, his mother was straight hood funny and also presented a problem with determining her ethnicity. The hero's brother and father's unrelenting advise on how to lock the heroine down was hilarious. And the way Rose Marie self promoted one of her related books was just funny. All in all, good character development and great editing. This book was not a bad way to waste COVID time. I so love the dynamic of there relationship because I have a submissive side to me and this book spoke to me so hard to me especially hitting close to home with us black women being groomed to sick by our man side no matter what and thats not healthy especially if that man is not even worth it. I love that he was able to so her just because he was younger don't mean that he did not take into account that he had to be up to par for her.

Hey y’all! I’m just a regular girl born and breed in Houston, Texas who likes to write. I’ve been creating stories in my head since I was a kid and always felt I had a talent for reading comprehension. Armed with my love for stories and great reading skills i started to write. I started out writing simple fantasy books as those were my favorite genre of books then. Though I quickly found that I preferred a really good romance between the hero and heroine in the books I read. I noticed that if they didn’t have a good romantic chemistry between the two I didn’t read it. Years later after reading more books in the genre of romance. I find myself here today making this author page. I’m humbled that so many of you have read my work. I appreciate it beyond measure and hope to continue to provide what you guys are looking for.

Finally get to see how this end....

I've been waiting for this book since reading the snippet on wattpad. I've sat thinking how would I feel if I was Diane and I have to say Sam is lucky to have the family he has lol. The story is taboo but Rose has a way of storytelling that makes you root for the couple. It was nice to see past characters and their appearances didn't take away from the storyline. Overall, Rose is one of the authors I follow that beats to her own drum. That's refreshing bc you won't tire, each book is different and worth the read.

Larger than Life

Rose Marie always gives us over the top characters and dominate males. My favorite is still Channing from His Obsession. He was an alpha but so funny....I still don’t like Sterling. But it is always nice when people from her other books make an appearance. Nice to see that Audrey has made a complete 180....her new husband has made her understand that colorism is an ugly practice.

Sammy loved Tracy since he was a little boy. He made the moves
that would ensure that he was able to woo, win and take care of her. The age difference is considered taboo but only if the female is older. An older man can have a wife who is10, 20, 30, or even 40 years younger than he is and no one bats an eye. We live in a world of double standards. This couple had to undergo scrutiny and criticism. I am not sure how Tracy let her engagement to Wafer go on for so long...he was a tool. We get to learn about Sammy’s brother and his lover....that should be wayyyyyy over the top when their story drops.
We hear about but don’t see Carter and Mason from the Irish Don’s series....not sure if they are actually dating but that again is another story I can’t wait to read.

Tracy and Sammy settle in for a HEA.

Sexy

I really like this book. The nasty comments about black women and the mental and physical abuse well a bit much. Also, the closest of the couple was a shock but the heart wants what the heart wants. I hope that any black woman reading these books if in Any abusive relationship get the HELL out. We were taught to take it to make it especially in relationship in the black community but that was Wrong. Love yourself to walk away to show your kids not to put up with that crap after the first insult or hit. I hope the female characters get less docile and knock the hell out of anyone that touches them in a nasty way. Also, this author incite to show that BDSM is not about violence between two CONSENTING adults in a LOVING relationship is beautiful and NOT to be confused with physical or mental abuse by cowardly a- - men. If there were an ending to focus more of the couple and there future I would of given a higher rating. I think all the books should have that because you get invested in the characters and want a HEA for those of us who can only read about them. Lastly, I do not think a women getting abused is great for any love story because it leaves those images in the readers mind even if there is a HEA.

Almost

The godson thing was WEIRD. If she had just been a family friend, it would’ve been better, but the whole raising him thing.....Once I got over that, it was hilarious! Sean and Chris were hot messes. Personally I didn’t mind their vernacular. We all know everybody code-switches, so I wasn’t surprised at how he talked. Also, who said because you run a million dollar business that you have to act and talk a certain way. They seemed to be doing just fine as is.

The reason I can it like 3.75 was because of the not-so-subtle plugs through out the story. They weren’t smooth at all and it really took a lot away from the moment for me. It was honestly really tacky. Plus the ending with them seeing Sin and Willow. We all know Sin was a stripper and a hustler, but to force the idea that you could pick it up within 3 seconds of meeting her was weird. It made it seem like she was a gold digger and not in love with Sterling. Stuff like that was so ugh! But overall I made it through the book and I’ll probably come back to it every once in a while. Sean was too funny not to revisit.

Omg! These folks is nasty!!!

This man is 20 years younger than her. She done lost her mind. Where did... how was...who the...and oh my..🤔🤨😤😱😭😧🤤😝😫🥰😎. I was clutching my imaginary pearls and screaming and laughing and highly upset at the same damn time!!!! I'm so glad that this author uses some real life issues that black women (and women in general) go through when it comes to being in a relationship. I hope that everyone (men & women) understand that YOU have to be happy FOR YOURSELF and have a partner THAT YOU CHOOSE that will make you happy too.
Now, the editor or editors are getting a bit better. There were a few hiccups here and there but I was still able to get through the story.

To love a younger man

I know I have imagined what it would be like to have the love of a younger man. This story brought it to light. The insecurities, the sadness of getting older and being childless. Even accepting a man you don’t love because it’s better than being alone.
If all men in real life could aspire to be a good man because he knows that is what his woman needs, well then the leading man in this story could teach them how to do it right.
I loved all of the different characters in the story. Especially finding out that each book I’ve read by Rose Marie has intertwined and become a really great series
I still want to read a story of Carter and Adam. Can’t wait.

Hey Daddy

This book was definitely worth the read. A few editing problems, but nothing to take away from the story. There were times I literally laughed out loud and talked to the characters. This may not be the book for you if kinks and derogatory language easily offends. Samuel is definitely a Daddy. He knows what he wants and has no qualms about going for it. Tracy is the older woman and his godmother, but she can’t fight the attraction. The family and friend dynamic gets tested and they have to find a way to resolve it. There is definitely drama, Alpha males, misogynistic males and colorism. The author handled the topics very well. I truly loved when the characters stepped out of character and talked to the readers. It was a true pleasure to read.

I love it

There were a few typos but everything was legible and I didn’t really mind.

NOW, let’s get to the good shit shall we? Omfg, bro, Samuel is...wow. Tracy is...wow. I don’t even know what to say. This book was funny as hell, I liked the drama and I liked that snippet of Chris’ story. Some parts of the original story was changed, some of those parts I would’ve really liked to see again (like Samuel mentioning Carter, I think, to Ben and the others and them just throwing money at him and Samuel just sitting there like what the hell’s happening?) but what can I do? Either way, I loved it

I like

Tracy and Sam was off the chain!!! At first I was put off but to know that Sam's love was genuine warmed my heart.

The color prejudice was spot on within Tracy's family so many black families live with this burden.

The control that both Sam and Chris carry comes from the confident that both his parents have instilled.

Second the abuse mental, physical and emotional that Tracy was willing to endure for the sake of Black Love and that broke my heart because it really made me question our culture.

This book touched on so many emotions that I read it twice.

A must read!!!! ❤️

I always enjoy Rose Marie’s novels this one included. I liked brothers Sam & Chris. I admit that I am truly hurt that Carter & Mason are lovers. Now, if they were to have a book with a beautiful black female included then I’d feel better. It’s nice to read about familiar couples from other books & their families. I would recommend this book, it’s nice to have a younger man older woman. The women with exception of Sin are a bit docile & could use more backbone. I’m definitely looking forward to Chris’s & Adams stories.

Good taboo

Yes, it’s taboo but it’s oh so good. Far too many moments had me cracking up. The banter between Chris, Sam and Sean was the best. I absolutely hate Waylan and wanted to Sam to beat him up so bad. Still there were many lessons. I appreciated the rekindled friendships and realness around colorism. More importantly the idea that people love who love and it should be respected (as long as it’s legal of course). The family support is what really made this and the 🌶️ was too tier. Another banger from Rose!

I was scared to read

I didn't think I would like this book but I have it a chance. I didn't have anything else to read and I have read all her other books so I said to myself here we go. This book has me laughing out loud and dad when it ended. Rose Marie has my up most respect writing the books you want to write even taboo subjects as a black woman. We are very sexual people. Thank you.

Sam’s Love

Sam loved his Godmom Tracy with all his heart! He spent so much time over her house, he had his own room. As he began to mature his feelings changed to romantic love! He wanted his Godmom as his forever! Tracy wasn’t aware of Sam’s feeling for her, he was her godson and that’s where she left it. His parents were her best friends even though Sam was over 18, she couldn’t think of him that way or could she? A good read!

Fine wine

I like this book it had so much energy ,I love the way she intertwine the characters of her book, from other book series to give to a little bit to look forward too, Sam, Chris, Brook, Tracy all played the hell out of there roles. The fight scene was halarious but I loved the way the friends bounced back..Sam got connected and was to give Tracy what she needed in life a family who cared for her.
Great job Rose Marie
I can't wait to continue Chris story!

Good read!

Like always all good things must come to an end. And I hate when that happens. Lol I enjoyed Sam and Tracy story and can’t wait to see what happens with Chris and Brooke.. I like how the Author make her storylines messy and crazy because that’s how life is sometimes.

This book was everything!!!

I love this book so much. I read it twice. I need a father like Sean in my life. I need Brothers like Sam and Chris in my life. There was just enough kink. But the biggest surprise of all was Willow sister not giving anything away you just need to read this but it ties in so much, and everything just comes full circle. Rose Marie did it again

Such a sweet read

Sam and Tracy are perfect for each other. You want them to be together but as a reader you understand that there is no way to make this transition to and adult relationships easy, but reading about their you still root for them to make it.
Plus you get to see the connection with some of your favs from past books. Overall a really good read

Oh boy! *Taboo Alert*

Samuel and Chris are dangerous for a grown woman lol It explains why there are cougars lol Age ain't nothing but a number that is for sure. This book will keep you locked in wanting to see what happens next. You will pleasantly surprised, and it will crack you up.

There are some typos and grammatical errors, but it does not take away from the story.

This book was awesome. Sam and Tracy's relationship was a little out the box but I think Chris's relationship with Brooke has out done theirs big time.
The Fontino brothers are no joke when it comes to getting their women.

Well this was a true roller coaster ride of emotions. Sam knew what he wanted and he went for it. Didn't matter that it was his almost 20 years older godmother. All I can say is that I can't wait for Chris's book!

I truly enjoyed reading this book about finding your true love at a young age and not giving up on that love no matter what. Tracy and Sam were made for each other. I took a star away because the editing was really bad, otherwise I loved the story of these two.
