Victoria Cole thought she had it all, including a righteous husband. Her life was the definition of “Perfect” but only for those on the outside looking in.
One day, just out the blue, a young woman with a child by her side shows up at Victoria’s door, claiming to be an estranged sister to her husband Nation. Automatically, she becomes skeptical but allows her in due to her big heart.
What seems to be just an awkward transition soon becomes a nightmare of circumstances when she realizes that the woman isn’t all that she’s cracked up to be, and everything isn’t what it seems.
With secrets unfolded, ghosts from Nation’s dark past comes back to haunt him, leaving everything on the line. Victoria realizes that it isn’t just a fight to save her marriage, but one to save her life, as well. Never in a million years could she ever fathom her husband sleeping with his sister, until now.
This was an intense well written storyline with great character development. I enjoyed and recommend this five star read. Looking forward to reading more from this author.
This book was awful. It was predictable. The first chapter told the whole story. The main character’s name alone should have told me not to read this book.
This my first book by this author... This book was an okay read to me... It moved at a quick yet slow pace if that makes sense... This book had way to much over detailing... I feel like I got a lot of information on unnecessary things and not enough information on what I needed... and towards the ending it became very very rushed... And the way it ended has me with even more questions... It just came to a very abrupt stop... Then to say that there is a spin off... So to me that means that there is a part 2 because to me this is an incomplete book... But I must admit that this book did have me in my feelings and talking to the book... Because it had me so upset... I liked Victoria and at first I liked her husband Nation... But just as quickly as my feeling so like for Nation came, they disappeared just as quickly... Victoria was a great wife to Nation... She cooked, cleaned, was super smart and sexy, and even put her own dreams to the side in order to help build her man and his empire up... Only for his to do her this dirty time and time again... Really... He just had to step all over Victoria in order to sample and keep samplings a girl that is about absolutely nothing and is only trying to find a meal ticket... Well great Job Nation, you got what you wanted... But at what cost... I was a little upset that Victoria was kind of just letting Nation walk all over her and be able to get away with this absolute lie that was not even believable... And she can sense the sarcasm , yet she just kept letting g it go... And now quickly we end up here... See this Crystal girl was a piece of work... She thought that she could keep playing this game and not get caught up at some time... Then had the nerve to talk to Victoria as if Victoria was a piece of trash and invading her space and not the other way around... Girl bye... See all these games you were playing finally caught up to you... I guess you got what you have been asking for... So I guess it is check mate for Victoria...
Nation was an underhanded dog and got just what he deserved. Victoria was way too good to him and he underestimated how his betrayal would cause her to act. Cristina was one conniving hoe and Nation was her little puppet. I honestly wanted Jalessa to drag her ass but how ironic was it that she'd suffer the same fate as Big Bear. Cristina as well as Nation wanted to play with fire and ultimately got burned. Poor Summer and unfortunately Lyon got caught up as well instead of minding his business. I can't wait to read the spin-off.
Never underestimate the power of a scorned woman. Christian was indeed a sneaky heffa and got exactly what she deserved I just feel sorry for her daughter Summer. It's sad that Jalessa got involved and took an innocent man's life well not too innocent but he was killed for the wrong reason. Can't wait to see what's going to happen and how Victoria is going to get away with what she'd done.
Seriously. The grammar, I can overlook simply because if I can understand the story, I don't really mind it. The problem is the damn story. Like Tupac said, same ol song, can we change the track. Man fucked around on his wife and knocked her up. Side chick gets jealous and wants to be the main chick. Are we done with the fatal attraction bit?

See Victoria is a better one than me. Ain't no damn way I'm bout to let another bish stay in my house. Especially one I never knew anything about. Her - her child and her fake ass brother (my husband) would be finding somewhere else to live. Got my blood boiling over here. WHEW CHILD!!! WHOOSAH!!!! 54321!!!
Well ain’t this a trip but Nation got what he deserved. Victoria turned out to be the he least expected one to flip but boy when she did all hell broke loose. Who is Malachi and what are his true intentions ?!? Can’t wait to see what happens in part 2.
Victoria was a woman scorned and she got the last laugh, on her cheating husband, how are u going to bring another woman in y'all home 🏡 with child and pass off as your sister wtf, give me the spin-off I can not wait
This is definitely a page turner with an unexpected ending. Want to see what happens when a lying, cheating husband pushes his wife to her limit? Then this is definitely the book to read and find out.
Nation and Cristina know they were wrong. Victoria was so gullible. But karma showed up and showed out!~ I enjoyed this book. Couldn't put it down. Can't wait to read the spinoff.
This was an ok book. I would have like Nation more if he had been a little stronger when it came to his so called sister. The way it ended, either one of them may be dead. Good riddance!
I didn't think I was going to like this book, but I did. I didn't like Cristina's manipulative behind tho. She got an innocent man killed behind something she did. Karma is a B tho and her and Nation met their fate in the end.
Could not get into book, short but I still found myself skipping page after page, to get to some thing that would hold my attention but it never happen
I know Victoria didn't. I would have never killed anyone. Now she runs the risk of going to jail. I would have hit him where it hurts in the pockets. This is crazy for real.
Wow. This was my first read from this Author, I must say, i'm on the way to grab part 2 now. This was crazy from the first page, and I refused to put it down.
Talking about a hot ghetto mess. That's exactly what this book was like why are men so trifling? Glad Victoria opened her eyes because skin that was a lot.
