A love story that can only end in tragedy…

She was never part of the plan.
She was never to become anything.
She was simply a payment, and once the debt was settled, she would be nothing to me.

Turns out I was wrong, so wrong.

Okay to be fair this was a joke. The storyline and all was good or at least the potential was. I wasn't crazy about the first book and rated it five stars based on the plot. Thinking when the second comes out, it will get better. But I was WRONG! Yep you heard it and I freely admit how horribly wrong I was. So why didn't I like this one. First off it came across as very immature, the storyline falls apart as tho the author couldn't decide if she wanted our heroine who has just witnessed her father's murder by the man she loves. Not to mention she was stuck in a hole in the backyard of her family home for weeks. Realistically she should have been traumatized not knowing who had captured her. She should have been fearful of her life, not knowing if she would live to see another day. Then once she's been set free and goes to confront her father, she should have been one hot mess, not level headed. After seeing King kill her father, she should have been terrified, not worrying what the hell her feelings with him are. I could keep going on but I rather not, so read at your own risk! In good conscience I would not recommend this story to anyone.

Far-Fetched And Unappealing

To be fair, I should have known. I was not a big fan of the first book until about the last quarter or so, when things seemed to really pick up. If it hadn't been for the fact that book 1 ended in the mother of all cliffhangers, I wouldn't have continued this series. After that ending, I knew I would be buying this one because I just had to know who was shot at the end. Well, now I know.

I had really hoped that this book would continue to get better, like the last part of book 1 did. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. The storyline just seemed so preposterous and failed to elicit any emotion. Early on, I found that I just didn't care what happened to Zerro or Bree. I didn't really like either of them.

Overall, I'd rate this story about 2 1/2 stars. Although I didn't love this one, there were some hot moments between Zerro and Bree, as well as a happy ending. So, it could have been better, but it also could have been much worse.

⭐️ 5 "The Monster & The Angel" Stars ⭐️
With that huge cliffhanger at the end of Indebted, I was dying for this second installment in the King Crime Family Series. Inevitable didn’t disappoint and was another electrifying journey packed with steamy hot encounters and shocking revelations! This read was addictive and so intense!

Enzo and Amara’s tricky relationship is more than ever tested in this sequel. Enzo, being the ruthless mafia king he is develops a conscience, but is still driven by vengeance. I loved his multi-layered personality where he shows such a caring side toward his woman, but also violence and darkness in every other ways. He thirsts to avenge his mother's death, but this evilness only create more tension with Amara.

This read is full of startling events that had me in a frenzy. Amara once again proves her courage with the different situations she’s faced with. Her defiance is still there and what makes her an engaging heroine. As much as her feelings for Enzo blossom, her heart and head are at war. She loves him, but realizes that maybe he’s too far gone in his viciousness to change for her.

This complex situation brings heartbreak for this couple, but doesn’t diminish their hunger for each other. When they’re in the same spaces, it’s so explosive and filthy! Enzo with his dominance is purely sinful and irresistible.

I really enjoyed how this story turned out. This couple had me so invested in their love story and I was so rooting for their happily ever after. I’ll admit that the ending felt incomplete to me without an epilogue, so I hope for more books set in this world of corruption as I enjoyed the supporting characters a lot.

'Inevitable' is the second book of the 'king Crime Family' series by the best-selling authors J.L. Beck and C. Hallman. Told in dual Perspectives , this book was one hell of a dirty ride!!

After that Absolutely Phenomenal Cliffhanger at the end of the first book ,I was literally drooling to get my hands on this book! And what an end it was! Absolutely amazing! A definite top read of mine!

Web-Photo-Editor When I look at him, I see a man I loved... and a man capable of killing me, all wrapped up in one.

Enzo and Amara have come a long way from being Captor and Captive . But things take a turn when new hurdles are out upon their way. I can't say much , in order to avoid giving out any spoiler. But all I can tell you is that this book is totally not what you are expecting! These authors have outdone themselves and have given us a masterpiece! Amara and Enzo have a take that will have you sweating with desire , panting with Rage and also have you sobbing like a baby at the sweet scenes!

For me this book was the whole package! A definite recommendation to all the dark Romance lovers out there, specially the ones who are addicted to themes like Mafia , kidnapping and blackmail with amazing twists and turns , then this book is for you!

The future was always inevitable…long live the King! Zerro is my dangerously dark delicious hero…

His name is Alzerro King...and he has succeeded because he had nothing to lose except his life…death does not scare him…he is the monster others fear…and they should. He rules ruthlessly and without regret…words such as compassion and compromise existing only for weaker men. His control was legendary, unstoppable, unwavering…until her. She was never a part of the plan. She was never to become anything... a simple payment for a debt that once settled would see her easily discarded…but somehow she became everything. She settled the debt, shattered him, and stole his heart…and then he lost her. It was always inevitable…their future…and now his rage is a force to be reckoned with… someone will pay in blood…

Zerro’s Point Of View (Paraphrased):

The inevitable has happened…the King has fallen…and now it is time to make that choice…

“You're what you make of yourself Alzerro..." my mother whispered in my ear. I could see her face, her warm smile as she offered me comfort in her touch and encouragement in her words. She continued speaking softly, my mind struggling to relive the moment in perfect clarity, "we all have things we don't want to do. There will come a time in your life when you will have to make choices you don't want to make." I shake my head violently dispelling the memory… feelings have no place in my world…the mere notion making my lips curl in disgust. Pure unadulterated rage pounds heavy in my veins and fuels my thirst for bloodshed, the raw need barely contained within my skin and compelling me to deliver death and vengeance.

J.L. Beck's continuation of The Kingpin Love Affair series does not disappoint! It is fast-paced, dark, and delivers a twist you won’t see coming! I enjoyed getting into the mind of the characters…it gave them complexity and depth that I could relate to on a more personal level. I cannot wait for Injustice: A Kingpin Love Affair 3…

Aut vincere aut moi - vivat Rex! – In victory or death - long live the King!

THE REVIEW FOR THE BOOK INEVITABLE BY J.L. BECK AND C. HALLMAN

GENRE: CONTEMPORARY DARK MAFIA ROMANCE.
AUTHOR:J.L.BECK AND C.HALLMAN.
TYPE: BOOK 2 IN THE KING CRIME FAMILY.
POV: DUAL POV...
MY RATING: 5 HOT STARS...

This is the conclusion for Enzo and Amara's story...
Enzo has been betrayed by his trustworthy men...And in turn, he has unintentionally betrayed Amara.
Forgiving him for this betrayal was heavy on her and difficult but learning about the lie of her true existence just push her off the edge...
Will Enzo ever gain the love of Amara again...or will he have to leave with her hatred alone?
Will this experience form Amara to be stronger and more fierce and make her forgive and forget...and Finally, embrace her love for Enzo?

Another masterpiece co-written by my favoruite duo...
Both of them have outdone themself again.
After the jaw-dropping Cliffhanger from book 1 Indebted, I was dying to read more...
ImI was expecting so much from Evitable and this did not disappoint me at all...it gave me more than I was hoping for...the roller-coaster emotional ride with so much baggage of action and suspense....Just what I needed..

This duet was addictive and so much entertaining...the characters enthralled you from start till the end and the new characters are introduced which just puts the storyline in a frenzy.
I would have loved to read an epilogue..just for a closure for my sake...but I was still left content...
I hope to read more books set in this world with interconnected characters...💋

This book continued right where book one ended. Enzo finds out that he made the biggest mistake of his life, doubting the woman he loves and now she is taken and he has no idea where to find her.

Amara if shoved in a world where the weak don't survive. She is forced to be strong and maybe she'll come out alive. But secrets are revealed and truths are uncovered, Amara finds out that her whole life was a big fat lie. Will she be strong enough to survive everything??

Their relationship is put to the test, Enzo has now someone to live for but will he be able to leave the Mafia and his thirst for vengeance for Amara? And will Amara accept his the way he is?

I'm not gonna say i didn't like this book, but it was not the blow your mind kind of read.
I don't know what's next in this series, but ill definitely read it!

Bow to the king indeed. Josi has done an amazing job on the follow up to Indebted. it was jealousy, hate, anger, love, passion, betrayal all mixed into one! The sex scenes are amazing and she really speaks to the characters of this book. I would read it again and again. This is the book to have in the New Year. It captures you from the very beginning and makes you want more! Loved it and still want more!

This is the final book in the duet and it picked up right where the first one ended...which was one heck of a cliffhanger, lol.

I really enjoyed this duet but I think the first book was better than the second.
It just seemed that the character interactions and dialogue weren’t as smooth and they acted a little oddly. Like you were almost wondering if you were still reading about the same character as you were a moment ago because of the sudden back and forth of emotions and actions.

However in saying that, I still thoroughly enjoyed reading it.

AMARA
This wee lass has been through the wringer and the wild ride is still far from over.
Everyone she thought she could trust now have a question mark over their heads.
And some of the people she thought she could never trust seem to be on her side...but are they really?

When this girl loves, she loves hard.
She loves Enzo but what she wants from him is just not going to happen. He’s been raised in the dark and thrived there.

Even if he wanted to change (which I’m not convinced he does) it would be damn near impossible.
So she needs to ask herself if she can live in his world...if both of them even survive the bumpy ride ahead of them.

The shocks and twists were brilliant in this story and I just did not see them coming.
I do love how Amara has grown and evolved though. And I love that she has discovered her dark little kink, lol.

ENZO
Alpha to the core, man!
Just the way I like ‘em, lol.

He’s never loved before. Not like this.
This woman drives him nuts but the connection they have is intense and he has no idea how to deal with that because he’s never had to before.

He too now has major trust issues and is doubting everything he thought he knew.
Borderline sociopath? Quite possibly.
Sexy as sin? Most definitely!

There were moments I was wondering if we were gonna go down the multiple personality road with him as he was unpredictable quite often and I just wanted to shout “Either shit or get off the pot!”
He most definitely has some anger issues, lol.

When certain truths are uncovered it knocks him clean off his feet and he takes a giant emotional step backwards and proceeds to act like a twat. Of course!
Not just to Amara but also the closest thing he has to family.

SEX SCENES
You know what I love? I love the words “Fuck me like you hate me”, right before an intense and angry sex scene.
Enzo steps behind me. In the mirror’s reflection, I catch the excitement gleaming in his eyes. “I’ll take you, I’ll own you. I’ll make you whole again, piccolo…” His voice is losing its gentleness, and I want it. I want him to be rough with me. I want the hate and madness between the two of us to sweep away everything else. I want to feel anger in every caress, kiss, and bite. Sliding in behind me, he centres himself at my entrance. “You better hold on, baby.”It’s the only warning he gives before pushes into me with sheer force. My nipples scrape across the countertop with every push into my body, and my eyes lock with his in the mirror as my teeth bite my lip to stifle my moans. “Come on, now,” he murmurs against my skin before his tongue glides against my back. With his grip on my hips harder than ever, he pumps inside of me without mercy. So hard that I’m on the verge of pain. “Fuck, your cunt is so tight. I’ve been thinking about fucking you every night, jerking off to the thought of your pussy wrapped around my cock. To the image of my dick ramming into your tight asshole.”His dirty words push me over the edge, and my first orgasm in a month washes over me like a rain shower over a desert after a drought. I feel like I’m coming apart, his thrusts splitting me in two. Endless pleasure takes over my body, wrecking me like a storm, leaving me behind in pure chaos. “Ahhhh….”I mewl over and over again. My nails scratching over the countertop, and my thighs banging against the cabinet beneath. “That’s what I wanted to hear,”he growls between clenched teeth as a muscle in his jaw thrums to life. I know he was holding back, and I hate it. I want him to let loose. All of him. I want him to hurt me. I don’t want anything but pure animalistic sex between us. “Fuck me, Enzo. Fuck me like you mean it. Fuck me like you hate me.”Raising his eyebrow at me, a smile twitches on his lips. My blood sings, excitement building to new heights. Next thing I know, he’s flipping me around and sitting me on the countertop. In one swift move, he is back inside of me, impaling me on his dick. “Take it. All of it. Own me,” he whispers as his cockhead pushes against my back wall. My muscles clamp around him, and my body tingles with pulses of pleasure. My eyes drift closed, the darkness only intensifying the feeling. “Open your eyes,” he growls, wrapping his hand around my throat to force my face upward. Hesitantly, I open them just to watch his beautiful body on the verge of its own pleasure. His muscles are taut, and the dips and valleys of his stomach clench together as he shoves into me once more. A hiss escapes his lips as he grabs me hard, his seed filling me.

Final Thoughts on INEVITABLE by J.L. Beck & C. Hallman
Yes, there were few moments where I felt that the characters’ dialogue and actions were a bit off but it certainly didn’t take away any of my enjoyment of the book.
This was a great duet and I would definitely read more by these authors.

*I received an ARC in exchange of an honest review*

Whew! What a book. I swear these characters took me to a wild ride.
Right, this second instalment continues the story of Bree and and mafia king Zerro. We follow Bree as she fights for her life and at the same time for her feelings for Alzerro. The story got even more intense and complicated as the book went on. After a series of unfortunate and traumatizing events, Bree finds out the truth about her life and it nearly destroys her. She realizes that she has been living in a lie and that the life she once knew was not really what she thought it was. Her character goes through the biggest transformation in my opinion. She gets tougher, braver and her heart turns into stone as the world around her threatens to overwhelm her.
Zerro...well....Zerro was his dark, tormented self, forced to do things that hurt Bree and put her life in danger. His feelings for her were strong though and he was determined to put her back up after she broke into pieces. He is ready to change for her and it was beautiful to see it happen throughout the book.
I loved the characters and I was very intrigued about Devon, who plays a key role in the story. I cannot wait to read about him.
The story was flowing smoothly and the plot kept me interested, so interested that I finished 80% of the book in one day. The sensual scenes were hot and I was totally hoping Bree and Zerro would get their happily ever after.
The only complaint that I have is that things worked out too easily for Zerro. Not that I didn't want them too, of course. I was just surprised at how smoothly things worked out for his case. I expected a little more drama in that department after everything he's done.
All in all, it was a very satisfying second instalment and I cannot wait for Devon's story.
4.5 Stars from me! Great writing.

Inevitable picks up immediately where Indebted ended. I thought it was a good conclusion to the King Crime Family Duet. The story was action-packed and suspenseful.

One of the main criticisms I talked about in my review of the first book was the lack of answers it provided... Don't get me wrong, I don't mind cliffhangers, but it almost felt like the first book was a waste of time. And then on top of that I felt like everything was dumped into this book - so much so that I think I got whiplash from the amount of twists and turns this book had.

Overall, it was interesting and I liked that it kept me on my toes. However, I just wasn't fully invested in Amara and Enzo's story.

I'm sorry I just can't really believe any of this is happening.
The whole family situation is so messed I don't even really understand it and Bree is already forgiving Zerro for everything he's done.
It's just too far fetched.

Inevitable by J.L. Beck continues the story of a fallen mafia king who is no longer in control of his life and a young woman who is trying to figure out who she is and what she wants. Alzerro and Bree must both travel down paths and learn to deal with truths that they never imagined they would face. Inevitable is a fast paced, heart racing, suspense novel with so many twists and turns that I couldn't get to the next page quickly enough to learn what was going to happen.

J.L. Beck's storytelling reaches new highs in Inevitable as she focuses on letting readers understand the depths of her characters. Bree, Alzerro, Mack, Devon, and Jared cemented their places in my imaginary world of book friends/enemies as Beck allowed me to understand them on a deeper level. Whether I hate them or love them is irrelevant; what matters to me is that these characters came to life before my very eyes. I enjoyed learning more about who they were and why they are the way they are. As Beck revealed the complexities of her characters, she also let each character travel down his or her own path and allowed each one to mature as the story progressed. This dynamic storytelling and character development allowed the story to continually gain momentum and guide readers through all the ups and downs, twists and turns, and head over heels somersaults. I loved following each character's story, and I appreciated how their storylines were woven together into one glorious web of darkness, love, honor, deceit, light, faith, truth, loyalty, and bravery.

I recommend this book to those who enjoy mafia fiction and have read Indebted. Additionally, I recommend this entire series to readers who have an open mind and understand and appreciate that these books are J.L. BECK'S fictionalized version of what a mafia lifestyle is like. Beck kicks this second novel in the Kingpin series up a notch with her matured storytelling techniques and character development. Beck answers many questions readers may have had from the first book and leaves readers with new ponderings to guide them into the next Kingpin installments. There may not be a cliffhanger in this book, but Beck inevitably leaves her readers curious and panting for more!

I Give this Book a 3-3.5/5 Star Rating, Listing as 3.
HEA(?): The Book is Complete, So I Guess Yes?
Heat: 3-3.5/5, I personally think that the heat did happen a little too early in this book, it took a little bit of my attention away from the book and a little bit of respect I had for Amara. Other than that the heat is pretty good, i could clearly see and read it, but I just wasn’t feeling it at all though. To me the scenes felt filler-y, I rather would’ve read one or two greatly Heated scene or scenes rather than ones that just didn’t really fit in certain moments in the book.

Pacing: I practically flew through this book much faster than I anticipated, Mid to Mid-Fast to Fast.

I honestly wasn’t expecting an actual ENDing, I was actually expecting a Cliffhanger.

I don’t know how I feel about this book honestly.
I didn’t pity Amara at all in this book sadly, she flip-flopped her opinion of Enzo A LOT that it was becoming very confusing when her (for certain) opinions of him changes in a blink. That really confuses me how she could forgive him, then hate him, then love him, then forgive him, then hate him, then love him.
She seems different from the first book.
YET pretty much disses James in her way, I loved him immediately as soon as I heard about him, and I was hoping he be a much more involved character like Jared though, but anyways I really wasn’t too thrilled with her treatment of him.
The book is definitely faster paced and felt a bit rushed in the end.

Romance: No Rating, Amara’s fluctuating opinion of Enzo was to much to truly believe her, I’d rather not rate this one.
Drama: 4-4.5/5
Suspense: 4/5
Dark(?): No.

This book was by far Josi's best work TO DATE! I thought Bree was dead after book 1 and I just couldn't believe it. Zerro loved Bree and with love there is trust so how could he just shoot her? She literally asked for it but SERIOUSLY?! So I wasn't expecting what actually happened when I read the beginning of this book. There's so many twists, turns, betrayal, lies throughout this whole book, I was literally like WHAT. THE. FUCK?!

Bree came back strong after everything from book one and I love the stiffer spine and that mouth she has on her. She's not taking shit from anyone anymore. LOVE IT! Zerro, is a man in love. Yeah he's still the bad ass mafia guy we all know but you get to see him experience love for the first time and the feelings that come out of that man ugh, I was swooning.

Towards the end of this book, you must keep your feet planted firmly, cuz you'll literally be on the edge of your seat the last 20% of this book and then you might fall and break something and then you won't be able to finish ;) Not good! I was pissed and crying almost at the same time. I was anxious to see how it would end but didn't want it to. I couldn't take anymore and yet I couldn't stop. Glad I couldn't cuz the book was awesomely insane to the very last sentence. I just finished so I'm still a little bipolar and hungover hee hee xP

If you can't tell, I LOVED THIS BOOK SO ONE CLICK RIGHT NOW!!!!

is it wrong to fall in love with a killer? yeah I didn't think so, ahhhh zero, what can be said about a ruthless mafia king killer? hmmm he's fucking hot..lol anywho, I received an arc from the author in return for an honest review.. here it goes, although my review will not be able to do this book justice.. it will be short because I don't want to accidentally slip and give out any spoilers.. ready? here it goes..

Zero being the mafia king had taken Bree in book one from her father John for payment of a debt which he couldn't repay, what Zero and Bree hadn't planned on was falling in love, in inevitable we watch Zerro struggle with being the mafia king and being in love with Bree, to him his lifestyle is everything to him, but does he love Bree enough to change his ways for her or does he finally set her free after saving his life in book 1? In Inevitable we see Bree and zero struggle and discover shocking secrets that could forever break Bree, secrets that have been hidden from her, her entire life. this book had kept me on the edge of my seat wondering what happens next,I have to give a standing ovation to Josi because she did an absolutely amazing job.. ill try to leave a better review on release day when I can process everything that happened, but I tell you this, if you loved book 1 then there is no doubt in my mind your gonna love this one... and ooooh the sneak peek at book 3... holy fucking shit Josi... are you trying to kill me? can I have it now? lol...

Some things in life are inevitable, well, most things actually. Bree and Zerro's relationship was one neither of them saw coming, and in the end it may have been the one thing that saved them both.

Mafia stories aren't my thing, but I took a chance on this series. I'm glad I did. I love that both of these characters are strong and well put together. No weak characters here, no matter what the situation is.

I was a little sad that Zerro lost some of his bada**ness in this story. He became a softy, I thought anyways. While I can see why he did, it was a little disappointing. He's supposed to be this big time mafia leader and him turning mushy wasn't what I had in mind.

Bree was the shining star in this book though. She grew stronger; even after everything she had to face she didn't let weakness overpower her.

Inevitable is a gritty story filled with lies and twists. Seriously, twists that you never would have thought would happen. They keep you on your toes and thankfully, until you get there, you don’t know what the ending will look like. I thought I had this story figured out, but nope, JL proved me wrong by throwing in another twist I didn't see coming. Can't wait to read Devon's story. ~ Keisha, 4.5 stars

Wow-what an explosive conclusion to the King Crime Duet.

Inevitable is book two, and continues and concludes Enzo and Amara's story.

It picks up right where the cliff hanger left us at the end of Indebted. Raw gritty and unexpected this book doesn't have an easy HEA. Expect the unexpected from this dark romance.

I don't want to give anything away but if you like your romance on the darker side and filled with suspense then this duet is for you.

Inevitable...
...certain; can not be avoided...

Inevitable picks up immediately where Indebted left out. From the very first page truths are revealed and decisions are made that will change the course of the entire story. What you thought you knew at the end of Indebted, is simply an illusion.

This is a story full of revenge, ruthlessness, and retribution BUT, it's also a story about redemption and re-connection.

"I knew that at the end of all of this it wouldn’t be love that conquered all. No, it would be death. No amount of love could make up for the hate that would be surging through me in that moment."

It's almost like the roles have been reversed BUT, not so much. We get to see a more vulnerable side of Alzerro, one that is sure to touch your heart and make you fall in love with him even more. I mean seriously, I didn't think I could love that man anymore but I DO!!! We also get to see Bree in a different light. Yes, she is the same person but at the same time she is completely different. She's stronger with her own savage desires and need to feel something other than the constant betrayal that has turned her life upside down. Call me crazy or whatever, but I swear it's beautiful to watch.

"My hand reached out gripping tightly into her scalp as I pulled her face into mine. My nostrils were flaring, and my blood was burning. There was no fear, in her eyes, just red hot anger."

They both have the need for revenge, to erase their pasts full of pain all while trying to fix "them".

Suspense. Anguish. Intimacy. Retaliation. This book has it all! From an enticing story line and concept filled with action packed scenes to a torrid love affair where they feed off each other's animalistic desires, this book more than exceeded it's predecessor. I don't think your mind could even prepare you for the impending journey that is, well inevitable.

If you haven’t read Indebted yet, then stop because there will be spoilers for that book and it will help you to understand what is going on in Inevitable.
Inevitable picks up where we are left off from that cliffhanger in Indebted. Zerro thought that Bree had betrayed him and what they were feeling for each other and is now dealing with those almost fatal consequences. What will he do though when the opportunity to finally get his revenge could mean that him acting on it could put the final nail in the coffin for his relationship with Bree? I’ll tell you, it could mean losing the one person who you love or it could mean living with that hate for the rest of your life.

I’m not going to lie and say that I loved this one. Indebted I couldn’t put down because the sexual tension between Zerro and Bree was so thick it could be cut with a knife, add to that the back and forth threats on Bree’s life made it have more on the edge of your seat type angst. There is angst but I had problems with the ending, because while yes this is a work of fiction, what happens wouldn’t happen, at least not like that. I had such high hopes and up until the end those hopes were met and then they went downhill and fast.

Inevitable is the second book in the Kingpin series and for this reviewer it may be the last I read of this series, but not the last that I will read of J.L. Beck.

So I have to say: I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING!! AT ALL! LIKE OMG YOU HAVE A WICKED MIND JOSI :)

Inevitable starts where Indebted ended and if you think you know what will happen you have another thing coming! I really thought a lot about what could have happened but this hasn't crossed my mind. You're dying to know right?
Buahahaha I ain't telling!

It's hard to write a review without revealing spoilers (and I absolutely refuse to do that) so I'll try and keep this short.

Bree got on my nerve so much while reading. I wanted to bitch slap her like a billion times, but I get it. She's gone through so much and she had every right to be frustrated and sometimes annoying.

Alzzero was a cocky bastard like always and it was hot, sexy and panty melting! Didn't expected anything less from the King.

Can't wait for Jared's book but also can't wait for you guys to meet Devon. Wow I dare to say that this book could be even sexie,r that Alzzero's *hides her head to protect from slaps* You'll see it for yourself ;)

The ending was shocking too! Again, didn't see that coming. As much as it sadness me to see the end, it also made me happy cause the ending was perfect. I hope to see Bree and Alzzero again. And who knows maybe one day we see babies too. (just try to imagine Alzzero for his daughter's first date buahaha)

Congratulations Josi!

To be honest; Enzo is so much different than most mafia men we read of.
He is constantly questioning himself and his choices and he is capable of making hard ones and pay the price for those he love, for Enzo is loyal to those who are loyal to him no matter what it takes
And Amara…. Well, she has a way of making all those tough men listen and respect what she has to say – they embrace her although she gives them her piece of mind
The first half of the book was a little slow for me but the second half had my head spinning and I really wanted to know what was really going on… who was the traitor' what was everybody's game and will Enzo and Amara find a way to be together that will be acceptable for both.
This is the second part of the duet and the conclusion to Amara and Enzo's story but than it is also the beginning for a new advantage for them!

my review if indebted, book #1:

Can a ruthless mafia king have a heart? Can a woman break down the walls that he has worked so hard to build? Inevitable is the continuation of the book Indebted. Alzerro King and Bree's relationship was one neither one wanted, but both found they needed. For years all Alzerro knew was avenging the death of his mother and no matter what nothing would get in his way. Bree was supposed to only be a debt paid, who would have thought she would get under his skin and complicate his plans. Falling in love was not part of his plan, caring for a woman again as well. Bree is the light in his darkness.
Bree learns truths that make her question her whole existence. Who and what she thought was real are all LIES. Who can she trust and who is SHE really? In the end will vengeance or love win? Inevitable was everything I waited for and more. Josie did an amazing job again capturing us in the life of Alzerro King and Bree.

Were back for the final conclusion of Enzo and Amarra's story. And it's a painful, emotional one.

There's not really a lot I can talk about this book without giving spoilers but what I can say is I wasn't expecting it to be like this.

We pick up from where book one left off and it's shocking. I had no idea the twists would come.

This book mostly delt with the healing of both Enzo and Amarra. A long with how they fall more in love and deal with both of their pasts colliding with one another.

I have to say I loved this book more than the first one because we really got to see the love these two have for each other and their growth.

They both have grown so much. Amarra is one hundred times the bad ass while Enzo is literally the guy you want.

I loved these two and this story had me hurting for both.

A great read that I recommend for Mafia lovers.

Inevitable (King Crime Family #2)
by J.L. Beck & C. Hallman

5 STARS ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

Inevitable continues right where the first book, Indebted ended.
Enzo realized that he messed up and made the biggest mistake of his life. He lost the love of his life.
Amara is in hell, but she must be strong to survive, to stay alive.

The epic conclusion of the HEA of Enzo & Amara

Inevitable was an amazing wilde ride to the dark side.

So if you are a fan of dark mafia romance books, this series will be perfect for you

I highly recommend it

DNF @ 26%.

The last book ended in a cliffhanger and this one resumes right where it left off. The story doesn't get any better. In fact, in gets really convoluted, with the h acting really b!$@&y. She is curses a lot and becomes hysterical. The range of emotions are just extremes. It feels like a bad soap opera. You expect the h to be hurt and angry at the H but then she has sex with him. The H treats the h horribly; puts a gun to her head all the while telling himself he loves her.

I've been dying to read this book considering the way we were left questioning so much with how Indebted ended. Enzo and Amara's journey continues in this fast-paced story that will take you on a rollercoaster ride of emotions. Inevitable by J.L. Beck and C. Hallman is an EPIC read that will join the ranks of the BIBLIO-ARISTOCRACY!!!
