The Real Thing #1-3

Flirting with Your FBI Heartbreaker

Rate this book
Agent Sam Knight doesn’t want to be on this assignment, but when he discovers that his ex from seven years ago is engaged to a killer, nothing will stop him from saving her. Even if it breaks his heart all over again.

Note: This is now 3 books in one. Previously released titles: On the Run, Going Rogue, Catch me if you Can.

Now all together in Flirting with Her FBI Heartbreaker. This book has been extensively re-written, re-edited, and updated to be included in the Knight Family Romances.

Alexa Fulbright doesn’t expect the man she’s been trying to forget for the past 7 years to show up on assignment from the FBI…and she really doesn’t expect him to kiss her.

Sam Knight doesn’t want to be on this assignment, even though he requested it. He doesn’t want to see Alexa and he definitely doesn’t want to put away the thug she calls her boyfriend…but most things in life aren’t fair when it comes to her.

As Sam tries to convince Alexa that her boyfriend is a drug dealer with connections to the Columbian cartel, she doesn’t believe it, until a gun is pointed at her head and ‘said boyfriend’ puts a bullet in Sam’s shoulder.

Now Sam has to get her out of dodge and Alexa has to make a choice—face the past or live a lie that could destroy her and everyone she’s ever loved.

A note from the author:

Thanks for visiting my Goodreads page.

I wanted to tell something meaningful about myself, but let's start with the important stuff--I love swoon-worthy heroes. The kind of heroes that are strong and would take a bullet for you, but also want to open your door and listen to you pour out your heart.

What else? I grew up moving. If you’ve read my books, you won’t be surprised by this. I have a lot of moving themes through my books centered around characters experiencing pain from someone moving.

It was hard. But, I believe there’s always a seed of good that comes out of everything hard, so I think the best thing that came from it was that I learned to love books.

And I had to learn a lot of mad skills on friend making. It gave me a love of people…good people, compassionate people. Interesting people of all kinds.

What else about me? I am a mother and wife! I have four amazing boys that are like little ninjas running around. I love them so much and I’m so grateful for my amazing husband who doesn’t get intimidated by all the billionaire men in my life.

I have a fierce love of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for Him and for the healing and forgiveness I’ve gotten to experience in my life. This is a theme in many of my books.

I love being an American. I am so proud of the men and women that support and preserve our freedom. This is another theme you will find in my books.

I am so grateful for my fans and for the support and love you all show me! Don’t stop reading!

Hugs-

Taylor

Romance, sweet, contemporary; series but stand alone read
I just read the 4th book in this series, and thought I'd try the others. I will say, this isn't my favorite read, a little too dramatic, a little over the top as far as emotions. I wanted to like this. Alexa and Sam were caught in the middle of a drug cartel intel gathering and then actual kidnapping and crimes as Sam was working on an operation to catch Alexa's current boyfriend.
More of a 2.5 for me as a reader. It was ok, didn't feel polished.

Great series starter

What a great beginning to a new series by Taylor Hart. Full of chemistry, action and intrigue it has everything I love in a romantic suspense story.

FBI agent Sam Knight never thought he’d see Alexa again after she disappeared from his life. Little did he know the next time he’d see her would be in the middle of a case.

Can the past be laid to rest and a second chance be possible?
Read this book and find out. You won’t be disappointed.

Dragged out

This book dragged on too long. It was very predictable. It was extremely difficult to keep reading. Not a best effort at all.

This was a fantastic book and I had a hard time putting it down. The action was fast paced, the romance was sweet and there were parts of the story that were heartbreaking but that just kept me reading long into the night! Even though the book was long, it wasn't long enough to me! The story follows FBI agent Sam Knight and his lady love, Alexa Fulbight, who were engaged 7 years prior but then a horrendous experience happened and they were torn apart. Sam never saw Alexa again until he walked into her business one day in full FBI mode in the middle of a case and about blew her away! She couldn't believe Sam was standing in her office, only to find out he's on a case and it involves her and the man she's dating??? What the heck? To complicate things even further, Sam tells her that this man is involved in the South American drug trade and she needs to leave him! Alexa's head is spinning! What follows is the ride of her life! I really felt like I was in an action movie most of the time! Just when you thought the bad guys had been captured, nope, here we go again! There's a race across the USA, then to another country - there are drug lords, kidnappings, an FBI mole, and that's just for starters! Hold on to your hat because there are so many things happening! Do yourself a favor and pick up this wonderful story!

This book seemed awkward to me, particularly the interaction of the main characters through the fist half of the book. At the beginning, I felt like I had missed some chapters. This feeling eventually left.

These folks did illogical things or things that seemed illogical to me, such as they cried a lot and they seemed to stop and talk a lot during emergencies. The dad and his cronies seemed cartoonish. I thought it illogical that Sam would take anyone to his parents or to her parents to be “safe.” I thought it illogical that as they tried to get away, Sam didn’t take away her phone or at last have her turn it off.

I am sure it is easier in books of suspense to just have things happen—inexplicably, just poof. This happened so often in this book that it disappointed me, particularly how rescue arrived over and over in the nick of time. Of course, some of it can be explained by how the bad guys got their info but it was more than that.

I was troubled by the violence and the killing, particularly toward the end.

The main characters all took turns saying “I am not dealing with this right now”—well, not Marco.

I scan read as fast as I could.

This is a great book! I love that you get to read the whole story in one place. You don’t have to buy the three individual books that it used to be.

I really liked Alexa in this one. She hasn’t made the best choices. Her boyfriend is a drug dealer, after all. But she is able to move past her past and become the women she is meant to be. That means making hard choices when she needs to. And she’s able to do that.

Sam is the FBI agent. And Alexa ran from him a few years before this book starts. But he didn’t know why. Sam has to move past not only her current boyfriend, but what happened to Alexa to make her run. And he has to protect her at the same time. Not an easy task when a ruthless killer is after them both.

This one is full of action an adventure. It’s the kind of book that you don’t want to stop reading until you’ve finished every last page.

An intense run for your life and a second chance at love

I was a little skeptical at first because the fight scene at the airport felt a little disjointed and like something was missing. And I've always been under the impression that someone who rapes someone is a little unhinged and doesn't just do it once and then goes back to living a normal. Dave's actions in the past didn't seem consistent with his personality in the present. And the title didn't really fit the story. But if you overlook those things, it was an intense, fast paced ride. I liked that Alexa figured out her motivations for her past relationship. I liked that it addresed the psychology of victims and soldiers. I liked that the good guy won in the end. And Sam was a good guy. I liked that it was clean. Talk of rape. Violence. Probably appropriate for late teens and up. 3.5 rating

Sam Knight is an agent for the FBI. Alexa Fulbright is the woman who walked away from their engagement seven years ago. Now, she's involved with a man in a cartel. When the case falls in his lap, he decides he must make her understand what she's gotten herself into.

This Christian Mystery & Suspense Romance is challenging. This story includes FBI agents who do unspeakable things to innocent women on par with what cartel members would be expected to do, such as abduction, imprisonment, torture, rape, and murder. Once you can get past these issues, the second-chance love story is dazzling.

Entertaining. Happily Ever After. Haunting. Romantic. Scary. Tragic. Unpredictable. Whimsical. Wonderful characters.

What a ride! Alexa is dating a man she thinks is a Restaurant owner. Her Ex-Fiancee Sam, turns up at her door with his FBI credentials and the truth of who her boyfriend really is. From the moment she accepts what Sam has told her, the rollercoaster ride begins and doesn't want to slow down. Between close escapes, and kidnappings, tortures and rescues, I was on the edge of my seat throughout this book. If you like clean, adrenalin pumping stories, full of danger and intrigue, I highly recommend 'Flirting with your FBI Heartbreaker'. You can't go wrong! I received this book from the publisher. The thoughts and comments are my own.

A suspenseful read
This is a wonderful book but is not the typical Taylor Hart. This book is more of the suspense genre but is so well done you won’t be disappointed. Alexa left Sam seven years ago with only a note and no real explanation, despite the fact that they had been talking about marriage. Now Sam, who is with the FBI, suddenly appears in her office with a warning that her boyfriend, Marco, is not only a restaurant owner but a major player in drug trafficking. Soon Sam and Alexa find themselves deeply involved in efforts to bring down Marco’s network, while trying to protect each other and their families. A great read.

Wow! The relationship between Alexia and Sam after being apart for seven years was so romantic and the danger Sam faced as an FBI agent was a given but when the danger involved so much more I could not put the book down. It was so suspenseful, scary, and romantic. I also liked the importance of family and faith in the story. Taylor Hart really knows how to write a well thought out story that will have you wondering what will happen next and yes there are many twists and turns to keep you guessing! I received an advance copy of this book and I willingly chose to write an honest review.

FBI Heartbreaker with a broken heart

Sam Knight & Alexa Fulbright; young sweethearts separated by a tragic night that had Alexa fleeing and Sam dumbfounded. Years later, the new man in Alex's life is also the target of FBI Agent Sam Knight. Alexa is in danger and Sam has to put on his best professional face to protect the woman he loves. Alexa hasn't moved on either and sparks are flying as they try to outrun a drug lord determined on making Alexa one of his possessions. Good story with secrets finally brought out in the open.

HOLD YOUR BREATH - WOW❤

Oh wow Taylor! I could hardly put this book down. Oh my word! I almost had to hold my breath while reading. But thank GOD you gave it a happy ending. And it made me realize there is no one like God, He is indeed Alpha and Omega and His Word is so true that man's heart is desperately wicked. Thank God for His grace, mercy and patience. Sorry for going all preachy but this book showed me how much this world needs GOD. Thank you for a job superbly written.❤

Oh wow oh wow oh wow! This clean, romantic suspense was amaze balls. It was nonstop action from the opening pages until the last word. The characters were multidimensional and the plot was intricately woven. It culminated in a showdown between the good guys and the evil drug kingpins.
I loved the way the author gave us a strong heroine and a protective hero, working together to overcome adversity. If I could rate this more than 5 stars, I would give it 10!

My favorite genre is a good suspense story. I love this one because one mystery is solved, it seems Alexa & Sam are safe but the bad guys show up, they have to run--it's back & forth till the end. Finally, the mole is revealed which is a big surprise. There are lots of the character's feelings talked about which makes the story more seem real & believable. I think this story is very well written & enjoyable.

This was a good fast paced action packed story! The title totally threw me, I thought it was going to be a lighthearted romance and I was wrong. It was action packed wondering what the next twist in the story was going to be! A clean romance.

*Triggers rape is brought up in this story, not graphically but repeatedly brought up throughout the story.

I received a copy from the author and all opinions are my own.

I don’t know how I missed this story in the original form of 3 books, but I’m so glad I did. I’m not sure I could have waited for the next installment without going nuts. Taylor Hart manages to put romance, death, betrayal, drug cartels, danger and happily ever after in this story. See, a 3-parter would have been tough. I look forward to the rest of the Knight Brothers stories.

So much action and romance. I read these when they were separate, and I believe they are a little bit different now that they are all in one book. The action, the chemistry and lies and determination. This is a great book to read. I don't like to give too much away, but just know that you don't want to miss this. Taylor Hart wrote a great book here, as always!!

Great clean suspense romance; Alexa's ex-boyfriend, Sam, shows up that wouldn't be too much of a problem except he's FBI, investigating her boyfriend, Marco as a drug lord; which leads to being on the run for their lives and then rescuing her from said boyfriend. What more could you ask for? Romance, betrayal, murder, etc.
I really enjoyed this story and would recommend it.

Please don’t start reading this book late at night! You will be up all night. Great story with well written characters and storyline. I don’t usually read suspenseful stories but I just couldn’t put it down. Good vs. evil mixed up with drug cartels, the FBI, second chances and throw in the romance, too.
I received a free copy of this book and this is my voluntary, honest review.

Action, suspense and love all make this a good read. The past collides with Her present, and it just might be the one thing that saves her life.

This story has great characters with many details that keep the pages turning.
Past love, brothers, father daughter all relationships can be complicated and the truth always comes out in the end.

This is an action-packed, down and dirty, in your face; book. The character development is unreal. I have never read a book with four, yes four full conflicts that work together and create an amazing action-packed story. IT works, it's rare that I will read a book with four separate conflicts and you want them to happen because it feels like it should. I had a hard time stopping when I needed to sleep. INcredible.

Thrilling!

This is one dangerous adventure after another! This has more dangerous occurrences than any book I have ever encountered. A scorecard is necessary to separate the good guys from the bad nasties, and some are ambivalent about their status! Great start to this series about the Knight brothers!

A Curtail boss a PR woman and a FBI agent. Some of good guys are bad guys. Bad guys trying to act like a good guys. The ups and downs the twist and turns will keep you on the edge of your chair. Then there are ex military members who are citizens in the mix. Boy oh boy this book should be made into a movie. ENJOY
