Terry never wanted to be a messiah, the foul-mouthed psychopath only ever wanted to stay dead. Little Dog felt otherwise.

Terry is the newest performer in the elder god’s twisted show and happens to be Cain’s father. It’s going to be one killer family reunion filled with guts and gore, just hopefully not Cain’s.

To protect his Earth, Satan has devised a cunning plan and has sent Cain his newest servant for support: a bumbling and near-indestructible gimp. Cain might not want this help, but he’ll need it, as he’s only one wrong step away from dying and taking the whole damned world with him.

Ever since I was a little kid, I’ve always been fascinated by the villain. They always seemed to dress so damn smooth, have badass weaponry, wanted to change the world, and took no s*** from no one. The fact that they were all so cool, negated the fact that they were constantly losing. Also, they never gave up on the crazy s*** they believed in, even though they'd get whooped in the most humiliating of ways. They'd keep coming back with some insane new plan and give it another go. That admiration has still stuck with me when it has come to the stories I love, ones about badass and persistent losers with crazy f***ing ideas. So, that is what I try to write.

My star-sign is Cthulhu. This means I am patient, hardworking, thoughtful, and I have an insatiable desire to conquer the world.

gods and other psychopaths

Little Dog is an ancient god of vast power and vast malevolence who manifests as a scotch terrier. He adores watching violence and occasionally snacking on humans. He’s having a hoot on Earth having obtained accomplices to provide him with the entertainment he craves. His only opposition is Satan whose doesn’t want anyone muscling in on his turf.
Ok. Great basis for a story and some good writing but there is no real plot as such and it does tend to grind on a bit. There is Frequent ultra violence in an attempt to maintain attention, but … no.

Action packed supernatural insanity

This book picks up and expands the telling of a story about an intelligent though not formally educated man who finds himself being manipulated by a multidimensional, nigh omnipotent being in his quest to save bumblebees from extinction. It's insane storyline with episodes of rather gratuitous violence that somehow remains cohesive. It's a fun read all around.

The 2nd book in the Gods and Psychopaths series kept the energy going and was truly a delight to read. We are given insight into more characters. There is a whole lot of violence but it doesn't feel repetitive. Really looking forward to finishing the series

If you loved the first book in this series, don’t get your hopes up for the second book, Holy Father. While the premise sounded intriguing, this follow-up failed to captivate me. The characters felt flat, the plot stagnant, and the humour just wasn’t there. Check out my full review to find out why I won’t be continuing the trilogy! https://themagicfarawaytreenet.wordpr...
