From Wall Street Journal bestselling author Nicole Snow comes an intense, heartwarming, and funny standalone read where friends-to-lovers insanity is fate for two stubborn hearts.

Just friends? Is a peach pie to the face “just” a little mishap?
I know what I felt the day Quinn Faulkner saved me from death by dessert.
My best friend was always The One. The Impossible.
Older. Flawless. Brutally gorgeous. A small-town prince of summer crushes.
Leagues above a tag-along dance nerd like me.

Years later, my uncle needs a goat wrangler. I just need an escape.
What better way to flee a cheating ex and dumpster fire career?
What better way to collide with the boy who got away?
And now he's an atrociously hot, mysterious, overprotective beast.

Breathe in. Breathe out.
I'm grown up now.
Unmoved by his slayer charms and heart-stompy memories.
I can't stay to unravel his darkness—or savor his vows to protect me.
We're safely platonic.

Until the Ferris wheel incident.
Then we're alone with a tension so thick you can chew it.
Quinn kisses me like no tomorrow. Truly. Madly. All in.
I wanted to piece my life back together.

The sexual tension and heat is off the charts in this friends to lovers, small town romance! An irresistible country boy who will always come to her rescue and an injured dancer who has finally taken control of her life are getting their chance at their own happily ever after. And if that's not enough to win your heart, you'll get an incredible dog and some crazy goats that will seal the deal.

Tory is back in Dallas, North Dakota. She used to spend summers there with her grandma. It was her favorite place once she met Quinn. Although he was three years older, they became the best of friends. He was her first crush, but the age gap was just too big an obstacle when she was a teen.

When she left for college those summers of fun with Quinn ended. He went into the military and she pursued her dream of becoming a dancer on the big stage. It's been years, but now they are both back in Dallas. Timing is everything. He moved back to fix up his grandpa's home and barn to sell since he has passed. Tory is back temporarily to heal after a possible career ending knee injury and a broken heart.

You can immediately feel the bond between Quinn and Tory. They definitely share a mutual respect and intense attraction. Quinn is determined to keep his distance because his quiet life has just been disrupted. He is a former FBI agent and a past case is back to seek retribution. He wants to protect her from the blow back. Tory is willing to take the risk, because being with Quinn is worth losing everything.

Quinn takes it upon himself to look after her while they are trying to catch the men out to get him. Tory has taken on a job from her uncle which leads to quite a it of comic relief. She delivers goats to clean up land for paying customers. Her trusty side kick, Owl the tibetan mastiff, helps to wrangle up the goats and keep them in line. Both the dog and the goats will steal your heart. All these furry friends will prove their worth when Tory needs them most.

This story has a lot going on. Tory is healing from an injury, but she is also working toward a new future. She has been pursuing a dream her entire life but she's no longer sure if that dream is hers. It's a struggle between her past and finding a new dream. Quinn is the best of men and all he wants is to keep Tory safe. The man is easy to fall for with his need to protect Tory, and his willingness to accept whatever path she chooses for her future. He encourages her to find her passion and pursue her dream even if it leads her away.

I loved all of these characters. From Tory's sassy grandma to the heroic dog and his crazy goats. This was a steamy love story with humor and suspense. It's a great read and everything I have come to love and expect from the author.

Son of a biscuit eater!

Sometimes a book doesnt appeal much to you but when you start reading it , you begin to know and understand why the writer created such story. I'm very picky when it comes to cowboy and Southern type or theme. Not that I don't like it, just that I'm an average city gal I don't relate much to country life but I do open my mind and try to transport myself to a writers place of imagination. This ones cute and funny, expressions like "holy Toledo", have not heard that before then"son of a biscuit eater" lol. I did enjoy this, adorable granny and the small town vibe. The male best friend you been crushing on like forever, the very down to earth and simple person like Tory 3 name(that too is funny) finally having a true romance with the gentleman, Quinn who is oozing with sex appeal an all. Love that he's not the sleep around type, very respectful yet naughty guy. The loyal dog Owl and stubborn goat leader, Hellboy who both saved the life of Tory aside from his real hero of course. I like the action element of this story too. Not a perfect one but has all the elements to excite you while reading. Thumbs up to you Nicole!

This story starts with the heroine setting the scene by... describing it to a dog. Good lord I wish I was kidding. Add to that the incessant and bizarre recapping of aaaaaaalllllll of this author’s other books *in* this one and it’s kind of a miracle I didn’t nope this within the first couple of chapters.

But the H and h had believable chemistry. For that, I’m rounding up.

Suspenseful and steamy with a capital S, this friends to lovers romance will definitely keep your heart racing. I don’t think I’ve read a friends to lovers romance from this author before, and it added a freshness to a story that’s – let’s be honest – exactly what I expected it to be. Snow’s got a recipe that works for her and this certainly doesn’t break the mold, but I did love the inclusion of the shared history and connection from the start. It’s not so much about these two falling for each other as it is them resisting the attraction that’s always been there, and I really enjoyed that element of the story. And it’s still got the action, the HEAT (whoa boy, was there heat), the intensity, and the alpha hero that I’ve come to expect from the author.

The story follows Tory, a dancer who has returned home following an injury. Tory’s been so focused on her career over the past several years that she hasn’t stopped to think about what she wants out of life. When Tory runs into Quinn, the guy she crushed on every summer as a teen, she realizes just how much she’s missed him. The small age gap that kept them apart in their youth is no longer a barrier, and now these two have some very adult thoughts about each other. But Tory’s only supposed to be in town while she recovers and Quinn’s got some personal drama going on, so leaving the friend zone seems like a bad idea.

Yes, I definitely found the story to be predictable and, while shorter than some of her others, it’s still too long. But I did love the tension between these two and the obvious chemistry there. Both Tory and Quinn are easy to like, and the depth of their feelings made it easy to root for them. It’s a slow burn to SIZZLE for sure, with a lot of intense steam in the back half. Quinn is 100% alpha but still very lovable, and his protective side was endearing. If you’re looking for a suspenseful, steamy, small town romance, this is certainly worth your time. It’s neither the best nor the worst that I’ve read by the author, and a satisfying read overall. I received a free copy via Give Me Books and am voluntarily leaving a review of this action-packed romance.

Turns out I'm not into
1) Small towns
2) Random suspense thrown in romance novels
3) Heroes who have thoughts like this :

"A local barfly who looks like she’s been ridden hard and put away wet so many times I wonder if there’s any sober grey matter left in her skull."

Idc if she turns out to be the villain later. Do better.

'The Best Friend Zone' is a Small town Standalone Romance novel by Nicole Snow. Told in dual Perspectives , this book was one sweet , sassy tale for me!

First of all , look at that cover!! I was already very excited about this book and then when I saw the cover , let's just say that my excitement knew no bounds by then! Get ready to meet Tory and Quinn , who are going to take you on this sassy ride full of laughter and love , making you enjoy every second of it!

Tory has returned to her hometown. She is managing her first job , when he runs into Quinn , who is no longer her older boy crush. He is gorgeous man , whom she can't help but be attracted to. But yeah , being head butted by a goat wasn't the fist impression she wanted to make with him.

Quinn is surprised to see a woman being chased by a crowd of goats. Even more surprised to see that the woman is none other than Tory , his long lost best friend. The girl who was too beautiful but younger than him. His own Jail-Bait fantasy. Only now she is no longer a little girl. She is a beautiful woman , from whom he has problems taking his eyes off.

There story was a fun tale for me. It basically consisted of Both Quinn and Tory being attracted towards each other and then refusing to act on it because of the best friend tag. The storyline was good , but it was just a one time read for me. I would definitely recommend this book to all the contemporary romance lovers with addiction to themes like best friend romance and Small town romances!

Tory can't believe Quinn is the one rescuing her from being tangled up in her new job as a goat wrangler for her Uncle Dean. Quinn, the always sweet older boy who was her fast friend but with whom she lost contact years ago. Now they're back in the same small town and there's chemistry between them, such serious chemistry. But nothing can come of it because she's heading back to the city as soon as her knee is healed from surgery, and he is trying to keep the danger from his job from encroaching on his personal life. But that chemistry I mentioned? Yeah, it's not going away and soon Tory and Quinn are falling headlong. He just has to make sure he keeps her safe and figures out how to keep that job from permanently ending whatever might be happening to his best friend turned more.

I loved this friends to lovers story. It's suspenseful with action, crazy, helpful goats, a lovable protective dog, and smokin' hot tension between two amazing leads.

All the delectable highs and lows in one terrific romance!

Usually in "friends to lovers" stories we see our MCs hesitating because they don't want to jeopardize their friendship. No such obvious hurdles in this story. Instead we have a couple who have much more serious reasons for avoiding the scorching-hot chemistry they can't deny. Quinn tries to keep Tory in the friend zone for her own safety, knowing that he's still being hunted for events that happened while he was an FBI agent. Tory, on the other hand, is recovering from an injury that might end her career, and it's given her the opportunity to wrestle control of her life from those who have directed her steps for far too long.

I swooned for Quinn every time he stepped right up to get in the face of each and every threat that came to town, and I adored the way he cherished Tory and their history. Tory is a delight, equal parts courage and conviction, ready to take her life by the horns, come what may.

This third trip to Dallas, ND gives us a far more detailed look at the assorted residents, of both the two- and four-legged variety. Goats are a serious theme throughout the book and add both humor and substance to the purpose that Tory finds away from Chicago. Owl, who is not an owl, really comes through and saves the day.

The adventure, suspense, and community events are non-stop but they never get in the way of a great story. Quinn and Tory's romance goes so far back in their histories that there was never a doubt they'd end up together. I loved the humor, the friendships, the laid-back small town atmosphere, and the richly-detailed characters who truly brought the book to life. The HEA was a smashing success from all angles, even giving us a hint about what I hope will be the next book in this heartwarming series. I voluntarily reviewed an ARC of this book.

Suuweeeet as Peach Pie!
Nicole Snow ran me through the wringer when she created a series of unlikely heroes in a crazy place called Heart's Edge. Now she's doing it all over again in big sky country, and these hunky, gorgeous, rough, rowdy, grumbly, over-protective poster boys of testosterone perfection have won my heart. This story features Quince and Tory, who were best friends growing up but have lost touch with each other for several years. Both are back in the small town of Dallas nursing the wounds created by the trainwrecks of their individual careers. Neither one is prepared for how the other has "grown up." Aaaahhhhh. There's nothing quite like it. The friends to lovers romance is always so rich with relationship history, and Quince and Tory are no exception. But they're both hiding things they don't want to talk about--some are embarrassing. Some might just be deadly.

But, hey... we've got a girl, a guy, a meddlin' granny that doesn't act her age, a tribe of goats led by Hellboy, and one seriously big goat-wrangling dog named *ahem* Owl. Yep. Don't ask me. Add to that a pile of bad guys and some really good friends who happen to have some experience being more than just friends, and, well, life is pretty exciting in this tiny town. All I know is I fell in love with all of it: the goats, the dog, Granny, the heroes, and especially the lovers who had a lot to work out. But the best possible place ever to work it all out.

I received this book with the understanding that I could leave a voluntary and honest review.

In this book we meet Tory Redson-Riddle-Coffey and Quinn Faulkner. Over the years on summers these two would come to Dallas, North Dakota and spend time with family. For Tory is was always her grandmother. Though she was more small town then Tory's parents ever were it was the best time in her life. On her 17th birthday Tory has decided to tell her best friend that she likes him more than a friend. Instead she gets a face full of homemade peach pie when she trips trying to bring it in. Quinn remembers that day and he remembers this girl. So when he is coming off the property that his friend owns and sees a girl stuck on a fence getting headbutted in the butt by a goat well he just has to check it out. Who is is none other than his best friend Tory, and he can't help but laugh. Though it has been years since they saw one another they can pick up like no time has past. What happens though when they both want more but are to scared to say it? Will they find that HEA or will the what if's make sure that never happens?

This is another amazing hit by this author. It does have its ups and downs. I mean how can't it with this cast and crew. There is so much more I want to tell you about this book. However I don't want to ruin the story for any other readers. I will say this book will have you hooked from the first word to the very end. I would highly recommend it to anyone and everyone.

Ten years ago Quinn and Tory became best friends. He was older and definitely not who her well-to-do parents would approve of dating. Once Tory moved back to Chicago permanently to pursue her dance career and Quinn joined the service, the two lost touch. Now both are back in Dallas and their chemistry can't be ignored but Tory left a whole lot of troubles back in Chicago and Quinn has a host of bad guys searching for him.

Its a long road for these two to get their HEA but it was well worth the trip! I loved their close friendship, their interfering friends, and Tory's quirky grandma. I definitely want to read more from this series!!

⚓⚓ONE SIZZLING LANDSLIDE⚓⚓
Combustible! Nicole doesn't miss a beat bringing all that magic and heat, blazing a trail hotter than an erupting volcano and more explosive than dynamite, melding this sweet treat together piece by piece seamlessly. Combined, entwined and securely woven, displaying the soaring ups and agonizing downs, breathtaking in it's simplicity and impressive in it's depth, putting our characters through their paces, blasting this baby to life brilliantly. Boundaries are heightened and strengthened, baring all the fervent facts, dangerous deals and electrifying escapades, igniting a fierce soul deep need with such intensity and vigor, booting this baby into the eye of the storm, slamming it into a frenzy with an astonishing culmination. The magnetism, attraction and chemistry collides with such intensity and ardor, drawing you deeper until you feel the electricity running rampant through your veins. The characters, interactions and charged atmosphere along with relatable qualities and individual traits add depth and diversity, transforming into outstanding personalities. The scenes are abundantly descriptive with colorful details that blend and flow, creating a majestic backdrop that's so rich and lively it feels you were transported to ground zero with them. Remarkable job Nicole, thanks for sharing this little guy with us.

Dallas, North Dakota might possibly be the best place to grace the pages of a book! Nicole Snow has blessed us with her latest edition, The Best Friend Zone. It tells the story of one hunky, gorgeous ex-FBI agent turned private investigator, also known as Quinn Faulkner, that just so happens to be a magnet for trouble. Now add in Quinn’s childhood best friend and you will understand that being “friend zoned” sucks but being “best friend zoned” is even worse. This story is off the charts with drama, danger, sexual tension, and steamy love making that will just about melt your e-reader. The story is sweet and fun with a lot of goat puns as title chapters and silly antics that will keep you entertained. You have “goat” to read this book! With appearances by some much-loved returning characters, this is a stand-alone read but is part of a series that you don’t want to miss. Put your BAAAAAD days behind you and read this 5-star story by Nicole Snow, The Best Friend Zone.
Tory Redson-Riddle-Coffey met Quinn Faulkner when she was barely a teen and once, he got her to quit crying they became best friends. Every summer when they spent time with their grandparents in the small town of Dallas, North Dakota, their friend grew. Now, years later Tory is all grown up and still in need of the occasional rescue from her bestie, but just as before, it is hard for Tory to deny her feelings for the big, sexy man that occupies her thoughts. Quinn has always wanted Tory, but age differences and timing were against them. Now Quinn could pursue Tory like he wants if not for the man that is out to kill him. To keep Tory safe, Quinn’s “goat” to keep her in The Best Friend Zone before things turn from “baaad” to worse.

Nicole Snow is an author I’ve been interested in reading for some time. So I jumped at the chance to read an ARC of the Best Friend Zone. I read a lot of romances and, honestly, this one was just okay. I didn’t really connect with the characters or the story. It had it’s moments, but didn’t resonate with me. I doubt I would have finished it if I hadn’t promised to read and review.

I found Tory to be entertaining, but stubborn and petulant. Quinn was a hot alpha, but too overbearing. They both fit these stereotypical, old-fashioned roles. Which made them a great fit for each other. And the story, which picked up slightly at the end, was pretty anticlimactic. At least there was Owl, the real hero of this story! And the goats.

I love a friends-to-lovers trope as much as the next romance enthusiast, but I’ve noticed they seem to go one of two ways: either things move quickly between them because of their already established relationship, or they move super slowly while they debate whether or not to cross that line. This was definitely the latter. It took forever for anything steamy to happen. It was excruciating. But when it did it was full speed ahead.

The description says it’s a standalone, but there are characters that overlap. And the events of the last book are mentioned constantly. I felt out of the loop and got tired of hearing about it. I may read more from this author, but I probably won’t go out of my way to do so. Turns out I’m not really into country guys or farm towns or even light suspense. But if that’s your jam, you’ll like this.

HEART-MELTING - DANGER -ACTION FIERY PASSIONATE ROMANCE

The Best Friend Zone,” is a captivating heart-melting read with gripping suspense, life-threatening issues, fun times, action, witty banter, family drama, and fiery-passionate romance.  Interaction between the characters is fabulous. Vivid scene descriptions left me breathless, and I craved more after the happy forever.

Tory and Quinn have fond memories of being best friends when they were younger.  They kept their crush for each other a secret.  Quinn being older kept his desires in check and Tory afraid to push for more. Going their separate ways, fate brings them back to their hometown Dallas, ND for different reasons. Quinn’s FBI past leads him down a path to protect the only woman he will ever love. Trying to stay in the friend zone becomes a problem. They face a few hurdles before reaching their happy forever.

Memorable well-written exciting romance read. Tory and Quinn’s chemistry is genuine and their devotion glows in this read.  Quinn is a powerful protector, but he also has a sweet romantic side. Tory proves she is a worthy heroine.  The author shows how following your heart is pivotal in taking a leap of faith to make your own decisions.  Relishing this read, I voluntarily reviewed a pre-release copy via Booksprout.

And.....The audience is standing in ovation and clapping so hard that the building with which they are in shakes on its foundation! Yes! That is what is going on in my brain regarding this story! This is probably my favorite story so far and honesty I LOVE them all but this one hit closer to home than I imagined it would. This Book is so PHENOMENAL! I love the way Nicole writes! She expresses so much emotion and you actually can feel what she was going through writing it. The projection she exudes is something for the books because it shows throughout her stories! If you want your heart to soar and your soul to bear witness to the love all you need to do is pick up anyone of Miss Snows books. She will grip you, dazzle and amaze you. You will not want to leave! All of her books are striking but this one hit my heart and engaged me so fully I did not want to leave! Quin and Tory (Peach) bring the heat! I mean my kindle was smoking as I made it through this story! The chemistry is off the charts and you WILL fall in love with these characters. It does not hurt that it is set around where I am from. Wonderful story and I highly recommend it to anyone who will listen it is that GOOD!!!!!!

Quinn has transitioned from his career as an FBI agent into a private investigator however the enemies of his past aren’t about to let him go that easily. He finds himself back in his hometown finalizing his grandfather’s estate when he reunites with Tory, his best friend when they were teenagers.

Tory has returned to her hometown as she tries to determine what the future holds for her both personally and professionally. She has always been attracted to her best friend Quinn and when fate brings them together the chemistry and connection between them is stronger than ever.

He is determined to keep his distance as he doesn’t want Tory to become collateral damage due to the danger he finds himself in but the only place that Tory wants to be is with him and she isn’t about to deterred. Their journey is filled with intrigue, heat and fun as two people find love under the most dire of circumstances.

Like warm peach pie, a lazy summer day with your best friend and the adventures of youth, this story is one of family, friends and fond memories. With goats of course, because why not! LOL.

I have read every single book this author has written and this one, well it might be my favorite. It has the most amazing cast of characters, heartwarming moments, humor galore and a romance that refreshes my hope for finding that forever love.

The Best Friend Zone is a friend’s to lover’s small-town romance that packed full. While this story did not have a much action/angst it is missing nothing because the friends and romance really satisfies the reader. I loved getting to know these characters, Quinn, and Tory, as adults and could really feel their respect and attraction for each other. Every single scene between these two is a light with passion, fire, and sparks. To be a part of their journey from childhood friends to lovers as adults was a pleasure like no other.

Snow also manages to add in the best humor in the form of the fantabulous Granny, as well as the goats. There is nothing like falling in love with the secondary characters just as hard as fiercely as the main characters to make a book perfection.

I could go on and on, but I think you get the idea. I fell hard and fast for this story, devoured it in one day, and could not have loved it more. A new favorite from Snow, this is a highly recommended book from me, and a must read for all those rom-com lovers.

"With this love, this life, and this woman, I say bring 'em on."

Gah, this book makes me want to live in Dallas, ND and I loathe snow.

Nicole just has this way with her writing that makes every dang "hero" she writes so damned irresistible. They are hard men with growly snark and a marshmallow heart once you get it cracked wide open. And her action and adventure and those smoking hot steamy scenes are the best I have ever read. She can pull you right into a story and make you flip those virtual pages so hard and fast because you need to know what is going to happen next and then long for the elusive HEA and heartwarming epilogue.

I love this book so hard. This book would be a finally-get-that-first-chance you have always wanted with your friend but was afraid to screw it up when you were so young and dumb.

Now, I think Grady needs his HEA.

At a cross roads in her dance career with a knee injury, Tory decides the best thing for her is to come home to North Dakota and help out her uncle. Little does she know that her all time crush Quinn is also back home. The sparks definitely ignite between them but will it be another case of best friends or will there be something even more? A great read with loads of ups and downs and the sizzle just leaps off the pages. Tory and Quinn are awesome characters that the reader cannot help cannot help but want a HEA for and a storyline that will have them laughing at loud as well as sighing with happiness.

Dreamy Quinn 'Faulk' Faulkner is the quintessential country gentleman, former farm boy, now veteran of the military and the FBI, and still sits front and centre in Tory 'Three Names' Coffey's fantasies.
Quinn is his true to form saviour self, and Tory is usung a hiatus from her dancing career to empower herself.
Plenty of love and steam in this witty story, for Tory and Quinn, Grandma Coffey, Owl, Helboy, and the goats!

Best friend to lovers

I loved every page of this book. Quinn knee the first time he met Tory he’d never be the same. Ten years did nothing to feminism his feelings. Tory was looking to heal and make her own decisions. The one to go back to Dallas was the best decision she ever made. These two are fire and ice together. Add in a crazy granny, a smart dog and some crazy goats and you have the makings for a laugh out loud book with the steam to heat you up.

Quinn is back in town finalizing arrangements for his grandfather. He was best friends with Tory until they parted after growing up. Tory is back in town trying to figure out her life. The two best friends have a strong attraction for each other. Could this lead to more than friendship? A cute, fun read.

I received a copy of this book via Booksprout and am leaving a review.

Live Quinn and Tory

Tory goes to see her Grandma after her fiancé cheats on her and the woman who he cheated with tripped her when she was dancing. She meets up with her best friend Quinn and they start hanging out together. They have always secretly wanted each other but wouldn’t cross the line. One night changes it. Can they both get over there insecurities and be together? Great characters and storyline Highly recommended. Love Everything about this book.
