A surprisingly informative, intimate and spellbinding guide through the history, enigma and legend of The Beatles. Reilly has raked over every fact with a fine tooth comb, presenting readers with every facet any Beatles fan could hope to know about their heroes.
Exceptionally enjoyable and beautifully presented.
Well I have to say that I myself consider myself a Beatles fan. So for months I’ve been looking through videos, websites, blogs, about Beatle information. And I came across this book. Which I have to say, is good! Is a 101 so I wasn’t expecting a lot, but I ended surprised to learn some facts that I didn’t know before. But what I would add to this book is more detail to the information. Since there are some topics that need to have more context to why they happened (like for example the war between John and Paul in the 70s). Other than that is easy to read, and the author truly feels like another fan is trying to tell you the story of the band. So there’s always familiarity with the content.
A very enjoyable informative book about the emergence of one of the greatest bands to ever exist. It is formatted chronologically and progresses through the genesis of the Beatles and charts their progress as the worlds biggest band in the 60's. There are lots of fun facts and little known gems contained in this easy read.
A very good history of the Beatles. It's in strict chronological order which is useful because you can see how their music progressed over time. Very short chapters interspersed with song information make it very readable.
