Ask: how to relate to anyone is a self-help book defining ways where we can establish and maintain long term relationships. The author demonstrates this ability by using psychology and neuroscience.
The book is written well and is easy to follow. The lesson is to understand and practice behavior that produces opportunities in arguments rather than destroy a positive outcome.

The author believes that we need to listen to others and ask them questions. He mentions that we think by talking more, we grab the attention, but it’s actually the opposite. By letting the other person talk, we make them happy, and that causes them to like us.

I thought that the methods and science behind the goals would have slightly altered due to cultural and religious differences; however, it appeared to gear towards everyone.

The literature and the layout of the book were very well put together. I believe the work would be more suitable for people who wish to establish or learn how to communicate and build long-lasting bonds with others.
If you are shy, haven’t had a good chance of making friends, or wish to be in a suitable relationship, this book is for you.

Here's the gist of this book: Everyone wants to talk about themselves, not listen to the other person. So, in order to get along with people, ask them questions, and follow-up questions about themselves, and whatever they want to talk about.

OK, fine. But, how does that work when the other person wants to talk, and have the first person listen? Take turns, I guess. That issue is not addressed.

Such a useful tool for every relationship. Asking questions and being curious leads to fulfilling relationships especially with those who reciprocate. This book emphasizes the importance of asking meaningful questions and staying curious in order to build our current relationships and establish new ones.

Be curious my friends. A great book to understand your brain and how it responds to conversation and emotions. Understanding how to create relationships based on ... dare I say science! Short and an easy read. Thanks for sticking to the science for those of us who rely on it.

Interesting and useful concept, but once again a business book that would have actually been good as a 5 page article instead of pages and pages of blabla.

This book isn't just an effective tool for business, it's a great tool for life. Be prepared to have your mind broadened in an unexpected way. Many people have gone through life telling the world about themselves. This book is a wake-up call for those. For those who specifically haven't been successful in business or in life.

The lessons in this book are presented in a logical fashion. The author has taken a proper scholastic approach. Each chapter, the reader is presented with a thesis. The author then provides a body of data to defend and explain the thesis. The author finishes with a conclusion that makes the thesis approachable to the reader.

This is a time-tested scholarly approach to writing that works extremely well with this subject matter. You will find yourself rethinking how you conduct business, relationships, even commuter trips. Read this book and learn to look deeper into the person you are speaking to. Make your conversations about being interesting and not just about yourself.

A remarkably original approach to self help that will help anyone who picks up this book. A very good read and I recommend it to all.
