A bodyguard/age play/daddy gay romance. The third in Sue Brown's Biker Daddy Bodyguards series.
Joseph saw someone being killed and now his life is in danger. The security isn’t the issue. The grim-faced Daddy at his back is a different matter.
Mo is content with the quiet life. Once upon a time he had his happy ever after, but that ended. Now he’s being asked to guard an ego-driven businessman who has no idea how much danger he’s in. He should say no.
A successful CEO, Joseph is used to most people saying yes. He’s not convinced ‘yes’ is in this bodyguard’s vocabulary. Every decision he makes, Mo vetoes. Joseph is furious. He’s the one in charge. Isn’t he?
They are dealing with escalating danger and increasing tension between them. Joseph is convinced he’s a Daddy. Mo knows Joseph is a boy. Will Mo keep Joseph safe and show him his true place?
Hot guys, big hearts, Sue's world. Sue Brown is a Londoner with a dream to live on a small island. Coffee fuels her addiction to writing romance with hot guys loving each other, and her Adorkadog snores in harmony as she creates.
Mo Carstairs did not want to return to CDR. On his last job, he lost a client and after that, he withdraws back to his home in the mountains. Losing a client and also his boy around the same time was just too much. The case CDR offers him now is intriguing enough to poke up his curiosity.
Joseph Holden is a twenty-five-year-old pain-in-the-ass CEO, he doesn’t make friends with his attitude, he’s haughty, a brat and thinks he’s a Daddy. Little does he know!
Mo recognizes the look in the man’s eyes, fear. He needs a bodyguard, someone wants him dead. CDR is the company that will investigate. Joseph not only needs protection, but he also needs a firm hand aka Daddy Mo. In other words, Mo takes the job!
Joseph thinks Mo will make him look laughable, a bodyguard with too wild hair, a too-long beard, wearing leather, and drives a bike. Joseph is the CEO he’s the one to make the decisions and give orders, not some yeti from the mountain. Mo takes orders from no one and certainly not from a boy who doesn’t know his place. Joseph is furious.
It’s even getting worse when Mo decides to hide in the mountains, only the two of them.
I loved this read. A wonderful Daddy who is patient and has strict and tide rules, a brat who has trouble learning his place and follow orders. When Joseph finally gets it, surrenders and gives himself fully, there is peace and comfort. To see him embrace his little was endearing.
The threat was serious and well thought out, even though for me foreseeable. The security part was well developed.
I loved the dynamic between Mo as Daddy and Joseph as a boy. As adults together they were dedicated, sweet, and hot! Overall they were lovable, I had no trouble connecting with them.
Two men, forced proximity, separated from the world, is one of my favorite contents.
It was an awesomely written story, well outlined, maybe a bit predictable I didn’t mind about, comfortable paced, entertaining, and sweet.
Our first meeting with Joseph and Mo is in a noisy boardroom and Joseph is not very likeable. His bratty and superior behaviour is due to his fear though, and the inability to trust most people around him. Mo has been drafted in to keep Joseph alive. Mo is good at what he does, and can spot from a mile away that Joseph is a boy than needs a daddy in the worst way! Unfortunately for Joseph, Mo had his own special boy in the past, but he left Mo broken hearted, and Mo is no longer looking.
The security team do not know where the threats towards Joseph are coming from, or why, and there have been one too many close calls. Enter Mo. A hard-assed biker bodyguard who only works one-way: his own. Consequently the sparks fly from the outset and the story has many twists and turns before the shocking revelation about who is trying to kill Joseph. Will Mo be able to keep Joseph safe, and make him happy? The daddy kink aspect is rather beautiful as Joseph endeavours to goad Mo into being his daddy temporarily, and the fact that Mo has a ‘little space’ playroom is romance book perfection.
The story is nicely written, exciting and funny. With an exploration of daddy kink to boot. Mo has his work cut out with Joseph, but the men sharing their softer sides to each other is a joy. The Happy ending is lovely and I grew to care about both the main characters, although it took me a little while!
I was given a free copy of the book in exchange for an honest review.
Another one biker Daddy down! With the rhythm they are falling in love with their clients the security team will have to hire a new one for each new job! In this book, we have a forty-five-years-old retired bodyguard and Daddy, Mo, who has retired to the solitude of his mountain home after losing a client on the job. Until his ex-colleagues call him back to guard Joseph, a bratty billionaire who fancies himself a Daddy, not understanding he is actually a boy, and a little, at that… Joseph’s life is in danger, and yet he fight Mo tooth and nails to get back to his usual life and work, whereas Mo has no intention of letting him anywhere outside of his secluded mountain cabin, at least until the culprit of the multiple attacks to Joseph’s life has been identified and taken down. The book is sweet, sexy and very well written, it’s easy to read and a page turner. There’s a delicious twenty-years age gap and a bit of age play.
Joseph finally got what he needed though I understand why he acted the way he did in previous books. Mo knows that Joseph needs someone in his corner when they first meet and vows to be that person for Joseph. He was able to get Joseph to relax and be able to find and accept himself which was perfect. I enjoy this series and look forward to more.
I received a copy of this book and am giving an honest review
This is one of those nice all wrapped up with a bow books. Where you knew who the bad guy was and when he was going to strike. Misunderstood brat who had issues with previous mc’s gets his daddy. I really liked Mo. He is a good no nonsense daddy. Just what J needed. Writing was ok, love came quickly. Perfect for occasions when you need an easy book
Joseph has been making enemies for a long time. He's known as a mean and ruthless rich man who inherited all he has. Mo is a retired bodyguard. He lives in the mountains alone and he's happy right where he is. When Joseph needs a bodyguard the security team turns to Biker Daddy Bodyguards. Mo doesn't want to help until he sees Joseph and realized he's a boy in desperate need of a daddy. Mo has his hands full and then some. I enjoyed this book. It has a lot of crossroads that need to be crossed. All the other characters from previous books lend their support. I RECOMMEND THIS BOOK!!!
Hold Safe is the third book in the Biker Daddy Bodyguards serie by Sue Brown. This book is about Joseph and Mo. Joseph thinks he's a Daddy, Mo knows he's a boy. I loved their story. It was sweet, sexy, hot and very well written. 4,5 stars.
Hold Safe is a fabulous age play/bodyguard read. The third book in Sue Brown's Biker Daddy Bodyguards series, it's easily read as a standalone.
Joseph's in danger and is suddenly forced to have bodyguard Mo protecting him. He definitely isn't happy about this, but soon he realizes how much danger he's actually in.
Joseph's complex, as he's a successful businessman who desperately needs Mo. To protect him. To love him. And to discipline him.
And I just love Mo. The biker parts are so funny, as Joseph is so reluctant in the beginning. Mo's annoyance had me giggling for a while.
And then - Age Play!!! Yes, I love age play romances. I admit this one doesn't have the usual amount of age play that I love, as this one's a little different. There's still plenty of sweetness and tenderness involved. And if you are new to age play, this is the perfect read for you.
It all starts with the Daddy role. Joseph always thought he was a Daddy but never had much success at it. With Mo's help, he discovers he's actually a little. I adore the simple ways Mo helps Joseph to realize and accept his little side.
The danger and action aspect of this story is perfectly done. The start with the two men bickering is great, there's plenty of suspense, and I enjoy the way it's resolved.
The writing is great, as it's fluid and well developed. The characters are wonderfully realistic and lovable. And their storyline is fun and sexy.
Hold Safe is my introduction to this series. Now I definitely plan to go back and read the books I missed. Sue Brown delights in this combo of age play, danger, action, and love.
So, book 3, the golden thread is still in place winding through the series pulling it together nicely and I'm pleased to say it's still working really well.
This time round we meet Mo who really isn't interested in getting back to work after his last experience as a bodyguard tore apart his last relationship. However, Mo is exactly the Daddy bodyguard that Joseph Holden needs, even if he doesn't want him. We've met the bratty, very unpleasant Mr Holden in the previous books; he thinks he's a Daddy but Mo sees straight through him and recognises him to be a boy and after spending time with him finds him to actually be a little, much to Joseph's surprise and initial confusion.
Again, like the previous books, book 3 deals with more issues and subjects than just Daddies and boys. This is a definite age gap book with Mo being 45 and Joseph 25 and age play coming into the dynamic they develop. It felt that there was a light touch given for this book though, more so than the others with lots of comfort and healing elements being the focus, for both of them.
I think this book had more emotional depth than the previous two; both the characters needed an element of care which they found in each other and this was written really well. Their chemistry grew throughout the book and it was great to read.
This was a really heart warming book; of course it was sexy and exciting and all the other things it was meant to be but it had that something extra as well. I can't wait for the next one!! xx
I received a free copy of this book from the publisher and provide me honest review voluntarily
I was pleasantly surprised by how well Joseph and Mo manage to work together once they get away from the city. Joseph needs protection from whoever is after him, but he also desperately needs someone to care and provide guidance. Mo gave him the attention he needed and the information to let Joseph consider that he may have misunderstood about Daddy and boy relationships. I really liked seeing Joseph take the information Mo gives him, and not only process it, but work out things to try to see if being a boy worked for him. I really liked when he asked to try new things even when it made him a little uncomfortable.
I liked how patient Mo was while still being firm and letting Joseph work things out on his own, in his own time. Mo definitely had a better read on Joseph than anyone and did a great job of anticipating what might help Joseph the most. There were times I thought it might have been too easy, but then Joseph was also away from everything he knew and could explore without worrying about prying eyes and judgment.
This book is my current favorite of the series. If I could have, I would have read it one sitting. While I expected some aspects of both characters' pasts to cause more problems, I was pleasantly surprised when things went smoother than I thought. There was some weirdness in the timing of statements towards the end (that I thought made the suspense portion of the book wrap up way too quickly), but strangely I didn't have much trouble letting go of those issues as I would have normally.
*** Copy provided to Bayou Book Junkie for my reading pleasure, a review wasn't a requirement. ***
Aahhh. Just what the doctor ordered. A grumpy older Daddy, a younger, very bratty billionaire oblivious to the fact that he’s a boy. Snarky remarks fly while Mo tries to keep Joseph safe and Joseph pretends that he’s in charge, rather than Mo until proximity and the men’s true natures take over and slowly but securely and sexily push them together.
The combination of mystery, tension, heat, and romance is just about perfect in this one. I successfully guessed who was out to kill Joseph, but that didn’t take any fun or suspense out of the story. Quite the opposite in fact. Being fairly sure where the danger was coming from meant I could focus all my attention on Mo and Joseph finding their way to each other and establishing their dynamic. Since their developing relationship was glorious, that was time well and very satisfactory spent.
This was the second Biker Daddy Bodyguards book I read. For some reason, I missed the second book. I guess I’ll have to make up for that oversight in the not too distant future. For now, all that remains is for me to highly recommend this book and this series. You won’t regret spending a few afternoons with these magnificent Daddies and their beautiful boys.
This book is out of my box. I am no fan of motorcycle club books (this one really isn't so don't let the title fool you...I almost missed out on a good book) Also when I saw daddy I was thinking of kids...I am also not a big fan of age play but...again I am glad I got it since I love Sue Brown and I was not disappointed. So If you have been wanting to dip your toes in age play (littles) this is a good one, to begin with, because there is much more story and that falls into the background and actually adds a lot to the characters. So I will say that was super well done. Joseph was hard to take character and this aspect of the book really gave him depth. There is a lot of plot, twists, action, and some good man-sex. (just enough to add the romance and some daddy aspect to the story.) This is book three and I think you should read the first two books first...I hadn't and at first, I was confused about a couple of things and who everyone is. If you like bodyguards, security companies, age-play, and some good twists this is for you (be sure to read the first two books first)
Successful CEO Joseph saw someone killed and now his life is in danger. He is used to using money to get what he wants and everyone saying yes to him. Suddenly finding himself with Mo he is furious as he vetoes every decision he makes. Mo was content with his quiet life after losing his HEA and certainly does not want to look after someone with no idea of the danger they are in. They are dealing with escalating danger and increasing tension between each other especially as Joseph is convinced he is a Daddy and Mo knows that Joseph is a Boy. Will Mo keep Joseph safe and show him his true place?
Wow, this one hell of a battle of wills to start with as Joseph was used to getting his way and Mo was determined (and had to) not give in. I also enjoyed the careful way that Mo eventually got Joseph to realise actually what a Daddy did and that he was not one and that a boy fit him much better. I was thrilled when it turned into a love story. Easy to read, feel and understand. This is a MM book that contains BDSM behaviours of a DDLB nature.
After a non-compliant client gets killed, Mo leaves his job for a quiet mountain life. Little does he know, his co-workers come knocking trying to reel him back. He is pretty afamant but when he lays eyes on his potential client he doesn't see a brat like everyone thinks. Yes, Joseph is a brat but more so, he's scared and that pulls at Mo's Daddy side, his need to protect. Someone is trying tp harm Joseph and Mo is the best to protect this young billionaire. As they get to know each other Joseph begins to explore his "little" tendencies and realizes its ok to be vulnerable in his private life. They just need to figure out who is trying to kill him so they can move on. A series of events lead them to discover that its indeed someone you'd never suspect . Someone close. A close call almost has Mo losing his boy but in the end each get what they didn't realize they needed. Mo got a boy and Joseph got his Daddy.
Thank you for the ARC read, I voluntarily give this book an honest review. Just who is trying to kill Joseph Holden and is he right for the job? Mo didn't want another assignment not after the last epic fail but meeting the scared young man in person was leaving him no choice but to help. Joseph "I'm the Daddy" brat was in huge denial from the daddy/guardian to the death threats but one thing the "yeti" (love that nickname) was making clear was he was in charge. Mo seems to be just the Daddy he needs when something becomes clear to Joseph but only time will tell if he is the boy that Mo is willing to keep in more then just an assignment. Mo can see deeper Joseph would've liked but he is the right man for the job. Just awesome how Mo takes the bratty boy in hand as the good behavior breaks and the bout of jealousy rises.
I'm giving this 3 stars because I did like the characters and like them together but the story needs work.
This book really picks up where the last one left off. Again, there are a bunch of characters and they are hard to keep straight. If they came from another series (which I looked for briefly and couldn’t find), I recommend reading that so you can keep them straight.
This book has a remarkably similar “mystery” to the last book. It is predictable at best. Mo was reluctant to take the job but is leaving a note for Joseph saying “Love you” after two weeks. I was really hoping for more from this one because I liked the synopsis and Joseph being a handful for everyone but Mo, but it was only mildly entertaining.
A terrific addition to the Biker Daddy Bodyguard series. A grumpy older biker and the younger, very bratty billionaire who is completely oblivious to what he really needs. The snark factor is high as Mo tries to protect Joseph, despite Joseph pretending to remain in control. I adored Mo’s grumpy annoyance! But when they give in and embrace the relationship they truly want, it unfolds beautifully, and with a good amount of sweetness and tenderness. The mix of action and suspense to romance is well-done and, although I guessed who the antagonist was, it didn’t stifle my enjoyment at all. Not when the story is well-written and fluid, and the characters are fun and loveable.
But in the very best way of course. Sue Brown just gets it when it comes to hurt/comfort, which btw, is my favorite trope to read. This 3rd book has Mo coming back as a bodyguard after losing a client, to protect Joseph, a 25 year old billionaire brat who thinks he's a Daddy but is really just a boy needing to be noticed, not ignored or rejected. There is danger around every corner and Mo will do anything not to lose his boy. Couples from first two books are present as this is a series and I recommend reading from beginning to fully enjoy.
Joseph and Mo weren't the best suited on paper but they found something in each other that was missing. Suspense and an intriguing who dunnit, this story gave me so much feels and a respect for how strong people are under pressure. Joseph was certainly a confused young man and I found it awful how no-one in the community picked up on his troubles but Mo swoops in and figures it out in mere moments. I enjoyed watching their struggles and how they interacted with others and the ending was very satisfactory. A very easy and rather endearing read.
I chose this rating first of all because I'd never even considered the concept of Daddys/Kids as being something I would enjoy reading. I was totally mistaken about that! The author brought all the very rough edges and the very smooth places into the state where they function perfectly together. She also helped me to recognize, again, that the only things I can see in others that I don't like are the areas I need to work on in myself.
Joseph Holden, a CEO billionaire has had his home fired and is in danger. He also 'thinks' he's a Daddy. Mo Carstairs, 45, is brought in to guard him, even though after losing a previous client, Mo has stopped guard duty. So, to provide a little more security, Mo takes Joseph to his mountain cabin where he proceeds to teach Joseph how he is, in fact, a boy/little. An unscrupulous family member/shareholder is behind all the problems; but the resolution/s between Mo and Joseph are very well done.
Hold Safe was cool. Though I’m not into age play, I liked it in this story. Sue moves Joseph into the little’s role seamlessly. She’s given me a better understanding of Age Play and the need for it. Mo was an understanding Daddy and Joseph was a bratty but cute little. Wonderful story. If I have any complaints, its that Sue introduces so many wonderful characters I want to know their story, Hint, Aaron and Pat? Lol.
Absolutely wonderful story for both Joseph and Mo. Both are trying to find where they can find love and be themselves again. Mo has had loss and he is not wanting to lose again. Joseph has a great deal of responsibilities and needs some down time from his life even though he fights it. I loved how Sue weaved the story to show both people growing into the relationship. I enjoyed seeing some old friends. I do recommend this book to all.
The daddies keep getting hotter. And the boys, needier. Someone is trying to kill Joseph and his security firm just fired him. Because he's brat. A brat who thinks he's a daddy. Mo takes one look at him a meeting and sees the scared boy underneath. With some wooden trains, good food and patience, Mo will save the client and earn himself a forever boy. This series is quick, enjoyable and sweet. Looking forwards to the next book.
i love this series. Joseph is a want to be daddy but it takes being almost killed to change him for the good in comes Mo ,now Mo has a hard time at first because he lost one of his former clients because he did not listen to Mo so when he is assigned to Joseph they both change together for the better at the end,i read this book for the author for my honest opinion
This is my first Sue Brown read and my first Biker Daddy Bodyguards book and I was surprised by how much I enjoyed getting to know Mo; his sense of humor, his protective instincts, and how much he cares. Joseph was a bit of a brat, believing himself one way when he actually wasn't. The action, along with the back and forth between the two men made this a good read.
This had potential but it fell short for me. I didn't read the others in the series and in the beginning of this book I felt like I walked into the continuation of the last book. There were hints of Daddy/ little play but this along with age play were only touched upon.
