Sarra has outdone herself in this the next installment of this series. from the moment I opened the link for my advanced reader copy I wasn't able to put the book down. The details she described of Harpers surroundings pulled me to a place next to her. The same with Jackson and the rest of the main characters as well. I look forward to the next one and will be waiting patiently for the day I will finally have the chance to read it.
As per usual, this book was absolutely glorious. I kept getting interrupted and I hated putting it down every time. I raced through the pages and it stopped being a book at some point, instead becoming a movie inside my head.
This book is absolutely insane on several (good) levels. The introduction of a familiar face, the plot twist that you might see coming but it still catches you completely off guard, and OH the FEELS! Sarra has once again managed to turn all of my feels completely inside out.
I may be the type of person who tends to get very attached to my characters, whether they're book, TV, or movie, but not since Harry Potter have book characters had this kind of impact on me. I am constantly impressed by the shadow magic Sarra spins every time she puts another work out there. Now, I am off to start the book over and read it until the next one comes out :)

Forgotten Darkness is book 2 in this series, but it follows Harper and many others who are in the Peachville Demons series. This is not meant to be a stand-alone.
Well, another story read. I just finished it a few moments ago, and honestly, don't know what to say. First off, I'll begin with the author. Sarra is such an amazing writer, I've read every single one of her books more than five times, and I never tire of the worlds she creates. This story wasn't any different.
This story starts from where we left off in book 1-kind of. Harper is in a home for girls, but it's like an asylum for the crazy. She's being kept there against her will, her memories taken away from her. For anyone who has read about Harper, you know she's a fighter, and won't let a silly witch take away everything she holds dear-Jackson.
Harper fights the entire time, even when you think she can't possibly move past this. She has gone through a lot, and I'm sure it's not over yet. I loved her strength in this one, her determination never ceases to amaze me.

The fight for freedom against the Order of Shadows continues in the latest book from the Shadow Demons Saga. The emotions everyone goes through sets you on a roller coaster ride throughout the POV's from Harper, Jackson, Aerden and Lea. Yet through it all you crave more.
Not wanting to give away anything big I will say that the reappearance of a character (who I personally liked from the beginning) thought to have been gone was a wonderful addition to the story.
These books just get better with each one Sarra writes and I can't wait until the next book is here.
I received an advanced reading copy of this book for an honest review. This is by far my favorite book of Sarra Cannon and that is really saying something because I love all of her books. This one hand me bawling like a baby. It just really pulls you in.
Sarra had such a way with words and knows just how to pull people into a story. I can't wait to start the whole series over again.
I was given an ARC for an honest review so here it is. I must say this is byfar the best book of the series. It is verry emotional and you get the feel of emotions of each character, youll get angry, happy and sad all with book. it truly is amazing. I want to say so much more but Im not allowed because ill end up spoiling your read have fun and enjoy it!!!
This series is so awesome. I love the characters and feel like I know them on a personal level. It makes me want to help fight their battles and the more I read the more I love. Sarra Cannon really brought this series to life.
Diane Labrosse Oh my God. Sarra Cannon has outdone herself once again. While reading Forgotten Darkness, her graphic descriptions of settings and descriptions of her many characters are so vivid that I can see it all in my mind's eye. I love how Sarra can make us feel like we are right there with her characters experiencing whatever feelings she has in store for them at that moment. At times, I was just as frustrated as her characters, or sad for them, or whatever feelings Sarra wanted us to experience at that moment in time. She is very good at keeping us in suspense for just the right amount of time. Some writers go overboard and write page after page after page trying to to keep the suspense going but too much is not any better than not enough. Sarra has this down path. She has found just the right amount of time required to create suspense while not boring her readers. I have read every book Sarra has written and I plan on reading them all over again. Forgotten Darkness is the 8th book in this series. I can hardly wait for the 9th book comes out. Gteat, super work Sarra. Oh, and because I am on Sarra Cannon's review team, I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.

This book had everything a fan of this series craved!
From amazing twist and turns to true love, this book had it all.
Anyone who has read my reviews of Cannon's books may find me being repetitive, but I can't help it. This author is talented and deserves much praise. Forgotten Darkness has to be my favorite book of the series so far. It is exciting, informative, and really makes you feel for the characters.
Without giving away any spoilers I am going to say that within the pages of this book you will feel the rage and emotions Jackson is going though. You will experience the confusion with Harper. You will learn about our newest member, Aerden, and fall in love with him. You will feel the inner fight that Lea goes though.
Emotionally gripping in every way this book deserves to be read. In my opinion you wont regret reading this book. But don't let me tell you how to feel, read and find out for yourself.
I received an advanced copy of this book for an honest review. Wow Sarra Cannon has done it again, old and new characters appear in this book. I didn't want to stop reading, needing to find out what happens do Jackson and Harper find each other or not, do they defeat the emerald priestess this time or not. So many questions I wanted to be answered and yet I did not want it to end. And when I get to the end I am just left desperate for more. You can get so caught up in these books you forget that it is all fantasy as Sarra makes it seem so realistic in most parts. But then who knows there could well be a shadow world. All wrapped around a unbreakable love. I so wish the next book is out very soon. Superbly written, very easy books to read that keep you captivated, no matter how many times you read them.
I have followed this series from the beginning, and it is amazing! This book is quite possibly my favorite of all of them....the emotions of the characters are so raw and real that you feel like you've living the story right along with them. Lots of plot twists and turns kept me guessing, and the relationship dynamics among the characters were every bit as compelling as the actual plot, which was excellent. Highly recommended! (I would suggest that you start with Book 1, as the series definitely builds from the beginning. This one would still be enjoyable as a stand-alone, but I think you'd miss out on some of the emotion by not having built up the attachment to the characters you'll have if you read from the beginning.)
I received an advanced copy of this book from Sarra Cannon for an honest review.
Like all the books in The shadow demons saga this book is amazing. As soon as I started to read I did not want to put it down. The book follows on from the other so easily it's like your ready one long book not 8 different ones. Forgotten darkness has an amazing storyline that make you feel like your watching a movie in your head and not reading a book. The twist in the book will keep you hook and wanting more. definitely worth a read if you have read the other books. If you have not read the other books in the saga you definitely should. Can not wait to find out what happens next.
Wow!!! Where do I begin? There is so much detail in this book that your imagination goes wild. I cried, got angry wanted to reach into my tablet and choke the priestess. I was able to experience what Harper, Jackson, Lea, and Aerden where going thru. It's hard not to give any spoilers away with this review, there's so much I want to say but I dont want to give anything away!! But, hands down best Shadow Demon Saga ever you will not be disappointed with Sarra's book.
This was so painful and wonderful and funny and heartbreaking.
By far this is the best book of the series and I really thought that Sarra can't do anything better after the last book, but this was a 100 times better.
I cried at so many points of the reading, for so many characters that amaze me.
I feel so full, this book gave everything that I like in a book and more. Can't wait for the next one.
So I recived an ARC for an honest review. Sarra u really out did urself once again!! This was soooo nerve racking had me filled with all sorts of emotions! I still can't believe everything everyone has gone through, Its amazing the strength they all still have no matter what. Can't wait for more to see how the rest of this amazing story goes!!!!! :D
I received this as an ARC in exchange for an honest review. Sarra Cannon does it again! I keep thinking they can't get any better, but they do. This book is packed full of everything, it will make you sad, angry, happy and at times you will laugh and even cry. Will they find Harper? What will happen to Lea and Denear? You definitely have to read to find out. Happy reading!

Sarra keeps getting better. the world she has made is great this is a must read. arc for honest review. I really cant say anything bad but that it ended I love this book
Trigger warning: violence. (Not graphic but maybe enough to make people uncomfortable) Forgotten darkness by Sarra cannon is the 8th book in the shadow demons saga. This is a very expansive ya series with short stories and series. This series is written in 4 points of view; Harper, Jackson, Lea and aerden. All of the perspectives are written in first person. The 1st book is about a girl named Harper who has been kicked out of foster homes all her life. After a fateful fire, she is brought to shadowford home for girls. She realises that she is living in a town of witches called the order of shadows and the story continues from there. Obviously, the story has come a long from there. Following the events of the last book, this book follows Harper who has found herself in an academy for troubled girls where she is brutally tortured and controlled, or well tried to. Throughout the book, she tries to get her memory back and act on it Jackson, our second point of view character also known as wrath is heartbroken, stops at nothing to find her. We follow him throughout the book to find clues to make his way to Harper. Lea, the princess of the north, is not welcomed to her home. She is locked away in the dungeons. With no other choice, she is forced to agree to her father's rules. Aerden spends the whole book trying to get over his fear and nightmares about being captured and goes to participate in the kings games. In the end, the emerald priestess is defeated. But not without costs. She finds herself in an alternate timeline, where she is stuck. Cannon has a way of leaving you on a cliffhanger that you cannot resist!

What was once one team is now divided in four POVs - and I absolutely enjoyed the change. Especially of course because my girl Lazalea is one of the main plot strings. I really need a #teamlazalea t-shirt! I rooted for her from the start. And yes, Jackson is very demon and very alpha male and very manly man, so of course he riles me up no end. Did then, does now. I like Aerden much better BUT I enjoy both their POVs and of course Harper's too, who never needs a man to rescue her and always brings everyone together to be stronger and win in the end. I - want - more! Oh, I remember, I can! Off to the next book in the series right now!
Forgotten Darkness was the best book in the Shadow Demons Saga, at least so far. You can really tell that Sarra Cannon is coming into her own as a writer and becoming more comfortable with her craft. The expanded universe with the North Kingdom, the South Kingdom, and the Mortal World was really interesting and woven together well. The multiple plot lines were engaging and the pacing was on point. The content has definitely matured considerably since the first few books and we can see a matching maturity in the main characters. I still feel like the books are more plot driven than character driven, but we are seeing development in the characters as the series goes on. The twist at the end of the book was fun and surprising and I immediately had to go on to the sequel to find out what happened next. Cannon is exceptional about cliffhanger endings that make you want to read on.
Another winner! Desire for power added to sheer madness manifests in many ways and this multi-faceted exploration of those traits brings them into sharp relief. It is almost uncanny how Sarra mirrors the two between the multiple realms; human, witch or demon - it seems to make no difference. There will always be people everywhere who demonstrate these "abilities" and they are the individuals we need to defend against!
Forgotten Darkness (The Shadow Demons Saga Book 8)
Harper is in a witch prison and the Emerald Priestess want to broken her. Jackson is looking for her and killing every hunter he can find. Lea and Andros was put in prison by the king, Lea's father. Will Jackson find and save Harper? Will Lea and Andros be free? Great story.
Oh my god. I dod not think it would get that dark at the end but God was it fantastic! Absolutely loved this book and I'm learning more and more about the characters and how they tick when really pushed to their limits. I gotta get the next book so I can find out what the plans are for Harper and what intenseness I"m in for next.
The story just keeps getting better. This installment had the most shocks and twists. Even as the enemy tries to break Harper, she won't be broken. And her friends are strong, trying they're best to either survive their own seemingly hopeless situations or trying to get her back. I loved this book.
This was pretty good. It isn't my favorite book in the series. It picks up where we left off. I was intrigued the whole time. If you like this series, you'll like this book. That's pretty much all there is to it.
One of the best in a very good series, with several good plot lines with different characters . Jackson being stupid trying to find Harper gets a little tedious. Lea's storyline is particularly good. The benefits of working with a team get more obvious.
Whoa! I am not crying...you are crying...Harper and Jackson started off seperated and SPOILER ALERT!! they still have not found their way back to each other by the end....so I need the next book NOW please...
this book was absolutely Fantastic I kept getting interrupted and I hated putting it down every time. I raced through the pages and it stopped being a book at some point, instead becoming a movie inside my head.
