Tim does a superb job discussing martial arts tactics, philosophy, as well as sharing his thoughts and direct observations from his many years in Okinawa and mainland Japan. He’s genuine, kind, humble and funny and a real pleasure to read. This is a great book for beginners as well as seasoned sensei, Tim covers all the bases from edicate and tradition to language and religion. If you’ve never bern to Okinawa you’ll want to after reading Tom’s compellibg work. Consider reading this book and gifting to friends, students and family.
