Bela Andrews is the three Ts—too tempting, too innocent, and way too damn young.
Which makes Cherry Falls' newest member forbidden to a man with a dark, gritty past like mine.
I've had a hot case of lust for Bela from the second she arrived in my small town, but she's everything I'm not and I fear if I get too close my darkness will steal her light. And her dreams.
So, I’ll stay away. Watch from a distance for as long as I can.
As a Cherry Falls Fire Chief, I'm paid to stay in control and protect the people around me. Until Bela I've never had an issue. But her beauty and inner light is as soul-gripping as our small town and I fantasize about her sweet body round with my baby and her wearing my ring.
When she starts using words like forever and family I falter. And that concrete control I'm known for cracks wide open. I started out with good intentions, but now that I've had a taste of those forbidden lips and those tempting curves, there will be no going back. I'm addicted and I’m going to devour her one lick at a time.

Imagine living on a street called Cherry Popper Way. I thought it was just the clever name of the book but nope, apparently that’s the name of the street that Bela’s Bakery is on. Ha!
Anyway. Bela is 24, an innocent virgin of course, and she’s been eyeing the sexy fire chief, Miles. He thinks since he has a dark past he doesn’t deserve her so he avoids her... until one day her bakery catches on fire.
Not to mention she’s so upset about her bakery, standing in the smokey kitchen crying about it, that Miles decides to “cheer her up” by fucking her right then and there. Lmao! Okay. Romance, y’all.
So yeah, a bit of drama and some of the shit Miles says and does to Bela is a bit rude honestly. But they make up and there’s an epilogue and HEA.
Idk, this series hasn’t been all that I’ve wanted it to be so far. I’m still holding out hope for some story that I’m gonna love... this one was just okay for me.
"202 Cherry Popper Way" is the story of Bela and Miles.
A grumpy, brooding fire chief falling for a sweet baker, but keeping his feelings to himself. However, she gets frustrated by his waiting, until an oven fire speeds up their romance. They make sweet love, some drama happens and the book ends in a HEA.
WOW!! I couldn't put this one down. I absolutely love it!! This was a nice quick, short read.

The Cherry Falls multi-author series is already a favourite, and Penelope Wylde's contribution - 202 Cherry Popper Way - is as awesome as the preceding books have been. New-in-town bakery owner Bela Andrews quickly developed a crush on the town's brooding fire chief, Miles Malone. Older than her and a former undercover cop with years of darkness buried in his memories, Miles doesn't think he has anything to offer the beautiful, young baker. However, when duty brings him into her kitchen, he can no longer deny his attraction. However, demons from his past make their road to happiness a little bumpy - but when you have good friends, family and an entire community supporting you, there is nothing you cannot do. Miles and Bela are so hot together that my Kindle nearly burst into flames, and their underlying story is so beautifully written and engaging that this was one book I couldn't put down. Ms Wylde has done it again, and having her work a part of this wonderful series is a huge Valentine's Day gift to us all.

This was this week's offering in the weekly Cherry Falls series and it was delightfully sweet. Low angst and lots of steam! So, why did it get a 3 star rating? Because it did what it promised - it didn't try to give me more and it didn't give me less. I knew that picking this book up would give me a quick, dirty, and FUN read. Our heroine is the owner of the bakery who happens to have a huge crush on the former owners' son - the fire chief. Our hero doesn't even like doughnuts, yet he stops in daily to pick up a baker's dozen for the crew at the station... and to see our heroine. He believes he's too dark for her innocence and light and she thinks he's too hard on himself and has a light all of his own. When a fire breaks out at the bakery and she shouldn't stay in her apartment, our hero offers her room at his place. Could they finally be on the same wavelength?
Ok. Let me just say that Penelope’s writing style is just not for me. The dialogue felt awkward, and stilted. She used “Woman” as an endearment in some places, but in a way that felt off. Then there were the utterances of “Girl-cum”. *shudders* WTF? Who the hell speaks or thinks like that? I normally like OTT, insta love romances, but this just felt disjointed. Like the prices of it were shoved together, some of them scraping off corners during the wedging process, leaving some of the important details out of the story. In the sage words of wisdom from Randy Jackson. “It’s a no from me, dawg.”
Miles Malone (great name) can't resist the new baker in town, as much as he tries to. Bela Andrews would love for Miles to make the first move. Perhaps destiny in the form of a kitchen fire will do the trick? This romance is funny, touching, flirty and passionate. Both lead characters are likable, there is a strong supporting cast of family & friends and a really spectacular romantic gesture towards the end! This is a great addition to the Cherry Falls series. I look forward to the next story based on characters from this small town.

Once again Penelope Wylde delivers another amazing story about two people finding love when they least expect it. The grumpy fire chief of Cherry Falls, Miles, tried desperately to stay away from Bela but when her bakery catches on fire he can't let his girl be alone.
Bela has had a thing for Miles since she stepped foot in town. He checks all the boxes on her list and then some, but although they had an almost kiss, nothing ever came of it. She almost gave up hope until he became her knight in shinning armor, saving her bakery for burning and offering her a place to stay until they finished the repairs.
Once these two are together, in a confined space with a bed, sparks fly.
This is my first book from the author and my reading experience of this one feels like looking at a PowerPoint presentation of a small town romance novella. Every supposedly significant moments were presented in flashes, especially the hero’s brooding temperament. Like, why, man. Why? Even the heroine had the same moment. If these two people were my friends, I’d definitely tell them to grow up and act like adults. Therefore, the romance and the small town vibe were not enough to draw me in to their story except, maybe on the epilogue. All in all, this was just an okay read. Nothing fancy.
Novellas can’t hold every kind of story, and here, there’s just not enough space to make sense of the elements or characters. The result is a series of events that ends up at HEA… but there’s nothing to attach to or remember. Even the central conflict gets short shrift, and takes as a long to resolve (about two pages) as the fires that keep this small-town chief hopping. Finally, romance is a lot of things, but this baker is ridiculous in what she is willing to do to seal the deal.
Cherry Falls is a small town that draws in a variety of people from the city. Bela is new to the small town and she has captured the attention of the fire chief, Miles. Miles is uncertain about pursuing Bela but Bela can be persistent. Miles may have encountered a fire he cannot put out. A cute, sweet story that a really.good read. Enjoy!

This was so yummy that I had to fan myself. I love small town romances but I also love the forbidden ones and this had both. The fire chief and the baker get hot and heavy when he can no longer keep his control in check. This moves quickly but it's sweet and steamy and just what I needed to escape life for a little while.
Miles is hot and cold with Bela until the day her bakery catches fire. Once he puts out the fire in the bakery he starts fire in other places more intimate with Bela but he still is hot and cold with her. When Bela puts her foot down, Miles has to decide if he can risk his heart in this sexy read.
A fantastic page-turner in the Cherry Falls series! It is fast pace, engaging, steamy, sweet, and well written with characters you will love; the chemistry between them is intense and off the charts! Definitely recommended!

This author packed some steamy scenes into this short story. I wish she would have added a few more scenes of the characters getting to know each other better. After only a few in person conversations the H proposed marriage. The story didn’t develop for me. Miles ignored her more than he talked to her.
Miles, the fireman and Bela the baker are enjoying a very sexy, lusty romance. At first Miles is hesitant to get involved with Bela. Bela's been crushing on Miles and wastes no time jumping his bones (literally) when opportunity arises. Good read, strong characters, and a nice story.
Absolutely love these books, Cherry Falls is such a quaint little town, and Bela and Miles story was absolutely fantastic. Cannot wait for more stories from this wonderful little town.
Couldn’t tell who was speaking most of the time. Questions were asked then answered several pages later after other things were discussed. Story just didn’t make sense at all.
I liked this novella and the whole Cherry Falls series. For me, the story felt a bit rushed and I would have appreciated a bit more of a build-up and explanation for the relationship. I really liked the chemistry between the main characters and the epilogue was fun.
Bella is the new bakery owner in town. She has had ger eyes on the growling Fire chief but he never seems to make the first move. It was a ok read. Didn't like Miles to much . He was hot and cold which was super annoying.
This story was really sweet, steamy and romantic😍😍 They fell in love at first sight but Miles was hesitant to go after his woman. His past was dark and dangerous and he thought he wasn't good enough... but the heart wants l, the heart gets. Safe and with a HEA and without drama👍👍
Another great read in the Cherry Falls series. Miles and Bela are beautiful together and I loved how the whole town helped get them together. The epilogue was perfect, those two have so much love and it shows with every interaction they have with each other.
Boy this started off fast. I felt like I was trying to catch up. I guess when you want something it’s no time for pudding-footing around just go after what you and Bela saw what she wanted and got it.
Wow, this book was hot for more then one reason… Poor Miles had a lot of hang ups about his childhood. But he definitely saw a bright future Belle. When he decided he couldn’t live without her, that’s when the fun started and the baby making…
