2 1/2, maybe 3 stars. Very typical old style romance/ bodice ripper with no forced seduction or rape though. The story was sort of silly, but did get better. The hero, the pirate Lucifer, kidnaps the daughter of the man he believes had him tortured and sold into servitude on a Merchant ship. Lucifer plans to take Catherine's innocence and return her to her father completely shamed and used. She blows his plan to bits by acting the roll of a trollop instead of the innocent virgin that she is and then he falls in love with her. I have to say I didn't know for sure if the father was good or bad until the end, which was pretty amazing since all the other secrets were easy to predict. Lots of typos, which doesn't usually bother me, but many were the switching of his and her or he and she, which can get confusing.
