The Interview
Evan Gramer, author and journalist, is hired by a popular magazine to conduct an interview with a certain Mr Molserat. After a peculiar introduction, Gramer starts to learn that the interviewee is a reticent person who enjoys keeping secrets. As the interview continues, tension starts to mount between them, where one tries to discover more by forcing difficult questions, and the other gives out bizarre, yet possible, information.

I genuinely got chills reading this, because the author does such a good job setting the scene and putting you as a reader in the zone that something nefarious and wicked is happening that you just get sucked in and suddenly you’re in that room with Evan. Mr Molserat creeped me out, which really was the point but man that guy gave me chills, and when the tables were turned and Evan was backed into that corner, I literally got shivers! And how the person knew so many little things about him, and then the PAINTINGS! this is worthy of a short series on Netflix I’m not even kidding.
I will say that there are so many twists and turns that it does get overwhelming and a little confusing, but then again this is a psychological thriller so that’s kind of the point. So yeah, if you’re in for a little “don’t worry darling” mixed with a little “haunting of the manor” this is the book for you.

This dark thriller takes the reader on a peculiar journey where a journalist, assigned with interviewing people that have a shadowy portfolio but are not considered legally criminals, meets his latest case in a secluded mansion somewhere in Britain. From the start the author makes sure that you start to experience uneasiness in the first person role of Gramer, a bold journalist who has seen his fair share of absurdities in his career.
As the story develops, the interview becomes a theatre of weirdness and the darkness surrounding Gramer isn’t the scariest thing around. The author stages a single scene from which the reader can be transported to wonder, mayhem and madness; reality and absurdity become connected in ways where the plausible is considered crazy, while the crazy finds a place in our everyday life, no matter how outlandish it can be considered.
With a natural storm raging outside of the mansion, a storm of minds shakes the foundation of the building as interviewer and interviewee draw their sticks in a final showdown of who is actually in control.
The novel ends on a diabolical twist and it actually begs the question if this is really the end of the novel or just the beginning of a much larger, sinister tale.

Completely intriguing, totally captivating, and utterly fascinating
A novella length book that takes you on a mysterious interview with a less than forthcoming interviewee and leaves you with more questions than answers in a completely consuming read.
The vibe is sinister, the eeriness of the location, the house, and the interviewee combining to leave that deliciously creepy feeling of a great horror read. So much isn’t quite what it seems and you finish with far more questions that beg to be answered and yet it feels complete. It’s an absolutely well written and outstanding quick read!

I liked this book is well written and an interesting story.it starts as an interview about paintings that have a bizarre events surrounding them . It has a sinister with pinch of horror. A must read.
