It’s all catching up to the James’ now, but it’s about to get a whole lot worse. And then the unthinkable happens.
With the Odinia family back and the reigning Alpha’s departure imminent, everyone is looking to Clarence to lead them.
After all, he’s the best man for the job, right?
Someone’s been telling lies and hiding secrets, but when a stranger appears to spill centuries’ worth of tea, the betrayal causes a chain reaction that leads to devastating consequences for all.
How will Abriya react when she finds out why she holds the power she does, and will she be able to keep an important promise she made to Clarence?
And if that wasn’t all bad enough, right before the school reunion, a full moon causes two members of the family to cross a very dangerous line. Will they be lucky enough to escape the repercussions, or will the loss the family suffer be the first of many more to come?

LeeSha McCoy is the author of all things African American Romance. She released her first book in 2012 and currently writes African American Urban Romance, Paranormal, Fantasy, Sci-Fi, Romantic Comedy, and Steamy Contemporary Romance under the pen name Karmen Kane.
With over 40 books published to date, representation is important to her, so you will always find positive representations of black men and women in her books, with a focus on family bonds, growth, and above all, strong fiery heroines and the heroes that love the hell out of them for it.
Writing novels that make her readers 'feel' is her mission; she does not just write stories to be read, but for her readers to experience. As someone who has lived through many up and downs in her personal life, she uses those experiences in all of her stories, priding herself on the realism in her work, regardless of genre.
She began writing in the late 90's, although it was mostly song lyrics she wrote to escape her loneliness. As one of only a handful of bi-racial children living in her small hometown of Banbury, she struggled to make friends and to be accepted, so she spent most of her childhood alone.
She currently lives in England, but her family is spread all across the United States, including the states of Baltimore, Colorado, and Texas.
As a mother to four beautiful children, she spends her spare time playing Roblox and finding new places to walk with them, helping others discover self-love through her wellness blog, binge reading dirty romances, or watching food review shows on YouTube.
Abriya has certainly embraced her ware and what she was made to do. It was nail biting all while she was off in search of her father on her own, well without Clarence and the James Pack. Clarence and probably all of us too were highly upset, but like him we understood. But baby, talk about breathing a heavy sigh of relief when all were reunited!!! I'm so hype and they doing their thing, THEN we get to the the end??? Whew I'm so glad I can go right into the finale!
I really like the overall story. I’m all for smut but some of the scenes really disrupt the story and seems like filler. The end 😱🫢🫣
Abriya is still working my nerves. I need more character development with her. You could’ve asked the elder anything and you want to know if you and Clarence are meant to be? Girl bye!!! How can Abriya get high with Clarence but not drunk?
I would think once Samson was killed the wares would stop fighting.
This cliffhanger got m on edge yet again. It’s so sad that part 2 ended like this but I know in the end everything works out but lawd it still hurts to read like it was happening to me personally
I’m so anxious to read the next book I can’t give a great review. But this series is a must read. Great plot, great plot, great character build up & in depth description of characters 💕💕
I started by reading the latest stories and had to read them all, they do not disappoint, the story is fantastic, the heroin really is a "bad ass" she is fabulous in battle and so compassionate I love the writting, the characters and the story so much, incredible
Great book. However, I’m so tired of Abryia overthinking everything! I’ll be glad when she gets some confidence about herself. Her self doubt is draining to say the least!
Even though I knew it was coming that ending killed me. Abriya is becoming a bit less likeable but I think (hope) the next book this will be much better.
