That ending!!!
This was a good start to the series. Mason and Nola had an instant connection. The book was super chill then boom the last 15 pages had my jaw dropping. I can’t wait to see what happens next.

The ladies in these books be trying me Woosa!
I’m glad I have read the two prior books, even though the prior books were standalones, because all these characters appear in this book and have pivotal storylines and if you don’t know their background, you will be confused to know who they are etc.
Black and Mila were in the first book: Fallin’ For A Gold Mouth Boss. It was good to see Black didn’t change LOL 😂. Now Mila she came a long way, because she was an irritant in her own book! Hopefully, they can adopt Darrius because we don’t know what will happen to him with crazy Charlie and womanizing Chuck SMH.
Zo and London were in the second book: Married to a Gold Mouth Boss: A Standalone Novel. London sure didn’t grow up and still immature and not likable. She’s married and still holding important secrets from her husband Zo. With London in a depressed state she will place other people lives in danger because she’s beyond control and needs help ASAP. She needs to let Zo know how she’s feeling because he’s feeling helpless. Now look what happened and there will be consequences for London. Jesus take the entire universe to help London and hoping her daughter OK! Wiping sweat 😓 because lord London is trying!
Now Mason and Lola. Mason was living his best life with no care in the world with all these ladies! Meet Lola with her being young she was acting immature, and wishy washy. She was also an irritant. Mason got heat coming his way with his womanizing ways and one man (so far) gunning for him seriously and if they even pulled his family in their madness. He also have to deal with two psycho women and I’m waiting to see the outcome with Ava hmmm.
Lola is a runner and when there’s a hiccup with her and Mason relationship she runs and don’t seek answers! She should have known he was out there with all these women, but since they hooked up he has not been with any other woman, but his past is coming back to haunt him.
Something does not seem right with Terrance and just his entire demeanor is off! I’m waiting to see what will pop off with him in book book two.
The ending with Lola situation and what happened to Mason will be a hawt mess because the way Lola is in this book, she will think of the worse and blame Mason. Just watch!

My Mouth Is Wide Open And I'm At A Loss For Words
The book starts on a high with pervert, old man Bobby getting Nola fired because she wouldn't sleep with him. She hits the back of Black's car that same day and meets Mason who gives her a pass by volunteering to pay for the damages himself. Mason runs into Nola again and hooks her up with a job at London's new business venture. More London than Zo are going through issues because of a loss and the book ended with London making another grave mistake. Mila and Black and Jaz and Flex are doing good relationship wise. Christian and Darrius have grown so close and I hope Darrius isn't caught in the crossfire of Chuck and Charlie's mess. I don't think that Ava's baby belongs to Mason because how she keeps avoiding the DNA test. I need for Theresea and Officer Jones to leave Mason alone and I think it was Officer Jones who shot Mason. It also ended on a high. This book has soooooooo much drama going on and I can't wait to see what happens next.

I know Ava didn’t just set mason up? She is the only one besides Terrance to seem to be having problems with and Terrance don’t really have any problems with him! I hope Nola ain’t having a miscarriage! She just now getting herself back together and happy and now she bleeding bad! I’m glad London got it off her chest why she was moving funny because all the drinking she was doing was getting in my nerves! Now she done messed around and got in a accident and had baby girl in the car with her! Zo about to pop her upside her head if they both make it! I don’t condone domestic violence but dang kinda in needs some act rite! And lord poor Darrius can’t seem to catch a break! I just hope Charlie killed herself and not shoot Darrius! My emotions!
Man nola been thru everything and wen ahe finally gets her break, all hell breaks loose. Ion trust terrance at all, he seem like he got the emotions of a scorned woman. I wish she wud tell mason about how terrance has been treating her...mason got so much goin on i dont kno wat to do! i love his relationship wit nola tho 😍 now wen my baes zo n black stepped on the scene, i knew it was finna get real..london got me heated wit her hiding stuff from zo...black still my same rude bae...lawdy charlie betta hope she missed cuz if anything happened to baby boy 💥 definitely great to catch up on the couples and kids...part 2 me cuz this cliffhanger is sumn serious!!!

Good Read
This book was good from beginning to end and what a ending. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and it was reading about the older gang. Nola, is all about her business and all alone, but then comes Mason. Who has so much baggage and way too much going on. But unlike them together. Those last few chapters, had me on edge wondering what happened with London, Nola and Mason. Also, please handle the Detective and his wife soon. Can't wait for the next installment. Good job Lakia.

Lakia really knows how to grab a reader's attention and hold it captive. I love Mason and it seems like he just can't catch a break from his past. Officer Jones gunning for him because his wife a thot and he just might have seceded. I hope Nola not losing the baby. That will just be devastating. I really wish Zo had got London some therapy because this may be something that she's not able to come back from. Please don't let Charlie be that stupid to hurt that child. I can't wait till part two drops.💝💝

OMG THE DRAMA!!!
I loved the storylines in this book. First, i wonder who shot Mason. I’m sure it’s the ex cop that he was messing with his wife. And i hope a Nola isn’t having a miscarriage on top of that. I can’t wait to see what happen to London and her daughter since she got in an accident bc she was drinking, she needs to get some more help ASAP. And Charlie and Chuck situation is crazy. She shot him and it sounded like she shot her grandson Darrius too. This is all a hotmess but i can’t wait to read book 2. This is a MUST read!!!

This was just an ok read to me. Too many people that have obviously appeared in previous books. I didn’t know their background, so they made everything confusing. Months passed in Nola and Mason’s relationship, but it didn’t seem like that while reading. Nola was so immature! She knew the man was a whole h*e before she met him,so the women popping up shouldn’t have been surprising. She never wanted to talk the situations through. I hope book two wraps this mess up in a hurry.

Terrance seems like a decent dude and I respect Nola for being honest with him and not leading him on but he has feelings for her. I don't see him walking away that easy. Nola dealing with Mason seem to bring drama because of his past. Mason better get Jones off his back. Jones his in his feelings and he's a Police officer. He is trying to use his position to intimidate Mason and anybody connected to him.

Nola goes from having no family to gaining family and friends and her forever. Life definitely tests them and the results will have devastating effects.It is good to get caught up with previous characters and see how they all doing now. Well on to book two.

Wow....Mason got women coming out of the wood works on him. He better get some control over them because they do not want to let go. Nola needs to put her big girl panties on if she is going to stay with Mason. She can't keep running at the drop of the dime all the time and she needs to stay alert when it comes to Terrance because he is not going to go away easily.

This book starts good and continues to get better. Mason and Nola are trying to get a relationship started but it seems like every time things are going good Mason past keeps creeping up. Mr. Jones the dirty cop keeps looking for stuff to put Mason in jail.
