Helpful in learning the basics of terminology for medical transcription. A few terms I questioned though. Some words mispronounced by the voice, so that’s not good. Got a little monotonous - which I understand it’s Terminology but thought it could use some in-depth information on some of the terms. I looked up a few, & they weren’t in the medical dictionary - possibly in an article, they could be located. Honestly, I think readers want to know when medical books are for UK or US students first off. That would be helpful before I get into the book. Overall - pretty informative, somewhat dry.
There is a lot of information in this book that could seem overwhelming to readers but considering how confusing and overwhelming medical terminology is anyways I would say this book does a superb job simplifying it, and rest assured the formatting is well-done to make the book as easy to traverse as possible.
This is a well organized explanation of medical terms that a lay person can understand. I learned so much about how medical terms are formulated and that the properly educated can discern their meaning by studying the syllables.
A good and simple reference tool for new learners! I recommend this to anyone interested in the medical world and want to learn more about medical terminology.
