2.5 VERY TEPID STARS
I've enjoyed reading and re-reading many of Lisa Helen Gray's books but this spin-off series just hasn't hit the spot. Given some of what happens in this book there should have been a level of intensity that gripped me by my throat but it didn't, although there were moments where the crap the heroine was going through touched my emotions.
I didn't feel the connection between the MCs, and some of what Wyatt said at the start to his brother(s) about Evie (Evelyn) had me frowning a little.

Wow, this had me in tears!😭 There's a lot of steam & fun with light hearted romance too but when things get bad they get REALLY bad!😳 As you'd expect the emotions pour off of the page straight into your heart, shredding you apart. It also had me giggling as well, so it really isn't all full on.👍 I thought it was an excellent story where we got to learn get more about this fascinating family!!🌟

Evelyn Wilson is holding a secret that has made it difficult to get close to others. She is working for the Hayes brothers and despite trying to stay away she finds herself getting close to Wyatt Hayes. Wyatt didn't want to fall hard for Evelyn but he did, what happens though when she reveals her carefully guarded secret, will he stand by her or ruin the best thing that ever happened to him?
This was another great read from this talented author. Can't wait for more books on the Hayes family, they are full of characters I definitely want to read more about. I enjoyed Evelyn and Wyatt's story, wanted to pummel Wyatt at one point but overall great story.

Lisa has done it again. WOW, absolutely without a doubt incredible! I literally loved every second and
hung onto every word from the very first page! I am one of those readers who doesn't even look at the blurb before buying one of Lisa's books
because they are just that good and I know I'll love them! I literally finished the book and
messaged Lisa on Instagram to tell her how much I loved it! I didn't expect anything less from one of my favourite authors! Honestly, wow!!!
This story was beautiful, it captivated me from the get go and I was hooked, I couldn't put it down! I spent my entire weekend reading. Honestly, it's amazing. I'm not one for leaving spoilers, but all I can say is go and read it, I promise you won't regret it!! Must must must read!

Where to even start! (some might find his spoiler ish something)
This book gives you all the feel.. Even tho it did not take me a long time to figure out the plot in this on even before we got the full on what was what. I kinda off knew were it was going. Still enjoyed it.
Evie is sweet and does not see her worth really. She kind of walk with her heart on her sleeve even with how she grew up. Which is saying something. She is put in a horrible place by a controling factors in her life. She has one loyal and true friend. ( love that friend) She works hard and tries to work against those factors in her life. She falls for Wyatt pretty dam fast.
Wyatt is a man whore. Loyalty to family is everything to him, even so big he deals with people he has not liked in years cause of his loyalty to them. He is a hard man . Sweet when he want to , to those he loves. He is a hot man that muddles the brain of Evie. He seems to know that she is something else then just a quick fuck.
Okay now to the some what spoiler time. I find that Evie did not stop to think that she was jumping in with two feet with Wyatt. Yes sure she "fought" for a hot min, to not fall in to bed with him. But she has even talked and thought about the fact that he is a man whore. That he has sleeped with a LOT of women. Never seem to fail in these book that the man some how HAS to have sleeped with every dam woman around. And no woman never goes yeah no thanks I don't want to be a mark on your list. But they fight for a hot min for that. Then the 2nd thing. When it all comes out and it all comes to a class.. I stopped liking Paisley . I have 0 likes for that girl now. Loved her in her book . but yeah all that's gone. Wyatt I feel did nothing to work for forgivness but a few good sweet words. I did not even show Evie in any true manner he was sorry. He just showed up a few times and the only person I truely liked that Evie had.. stopped him from seeing her since he was who broke her. He then shows up were he shows up and then just cause they have a feel that he is sorry all is forgiven. Yes Evie did some shit wrong but just no. Hers was useless info. One info the factor was able to use to hurt them. But they got out. and everyone was somewhat fine.. It bothered me a LOT with how that whole thing was packed up. Still loved the over all feel of the book. But that was just weirdly put in a pretty bow after everything Evie went through. She had no one in her corner but Rebecca. One against a fleet of people. Tho Mrs. Hayse I loved in this!

What a beautiful cover.
I love the Cater and Hayes books, some more than others this one had a great story, Wyatt gorgeous, all other characters just awesome but Evie, why cant someone just come clean with a secret inside of sleeping with them getting hooked then the secret comes out and then they are upset. Just tell the person and together they can work it out and fall in love on the way and get the bad guy. Towards the end though I did fall in love with Evie and the scene about her doing harm to herself was really well written, all those emotions, hats of to Lisa for getting it right, it was great. (Trying not to give to much away).
Interesting ending but awhile to see what happens.
Oh we never found out what Charlotte wanted to say to Landon. Would really live Charlottes story.

What an emotional ride
This was an edge of your seat take you on an emotional ride kind of read! It centers around Evie and Wyatt Hayes. She is stuck in between a rock and a hard place and has to make a choice. He has never had a serious relationship but has found something with Evie that he wants to pursue. One man can destroy it all. Who he is will threaten to destroy everything. Do Evie and Wyatt have a love strong enough to survive?
You know how you can read a book and know how it’s going to turn out? Not here. I felt so many emotions and rode it out with the characters. I cried and struggled when they did. This is a really great love story. I highly recommend!

really good angst
I enjoyed the angst in this story! Secrets, drama, betrayal and strong emotions. Good stuff. Rebecca is an amazing friend and I adore her steadfast support of Evie. My only hiccup is I would’ve liked the ending to stretch a little more. It would add to the emotional element and build up to the HEA. Evie was in a bad state, emotionally and physically. I would’ve liked to read her recovery with Wyatt there supporting her, but also working through his remorse and regret over her state of being. That would settle my need for more groveling, it could be worked out during that time. 😉

Emotionally brilliant
This book made me ugly cry so much but I loved every moment! Who knew Wyatt could be a softy, although I wanted to throat punch him at one point. Evie was such an angel and she suffered so much so I was glad she got her HEA. I loved how we got to see more of the Haye’s characters, I can’t wait for Reid’s story he sounds a little like Max Carter! I love the little interactions they have with the Carter’s, they are so similar it’s hilarious!! I’m also hoping Eli’s book is going to end up with who I think he will too from this book!

A brilliant and addictive story with whirlwinds of emotion that tore me a part. Eve’s emotion bleed through the pages. It’s pure perfection. It’s like nothing I’ve read before and it completely stunned me. It’s obsessive, gripping and a real page turner. Lisa has come out swinging with an Eye for an Eye and she doesn’t disappoint. I’m still an emotion wreck weeks after I’ve read it. An absolute phenomenal piece of writing 🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟

I loved everything about this book!! I'm not giving spoilers though, lol. You just have to get this for yourself. It made me feel every emotion that there can be, honestly i didn't want it it to end. It is best to read all her books in order to know all the characters. You will not be disappointed!

I really love this book
Lisa did I really fantastic job bringing the characters to life I wanted to dive to there world. I’ve never cried so much for a character an I thought how the struggle with Evie was well written as someone who has had thought like that an come through the other end it was really well thought an written.
Can’t wait to see what’s next in store x

Must read!
This book was so much more than I expected! I love the Carter's and now the Hayes definitely have a place in my heart! I loved Wyatt and Evie with all the ups and downs of emotions of finding their love. With each of Lisa's books that I finish, it becomes my new favorite and this has been no different! I didn't want it to end but can't wait to read what's next.

Evie and Wyatt are lovable couple.
Excellent as usual another great installment of the Hayes family. Evie is in a horrible situation she can't get out of she has her mum to think of and does her best to make good out of bad to keep every one safe. Great read can't wait for the next in the series.

Y otra vez Lisa logro enamorarme con su historia. Pase por todas pero todas las emociones. Los hermanos Hayes lograron conquistarme al igual que lo hicieron en su momento los Carter y cada vez que leo sus historias lo hacen más.
Wyatt y Evie son perfectos el uno para el otro y fue un placer conocer su historia. No puedo esperar para seguir leyendo más sobre esta familia.

Holy tearjerker moment
If you all thought Soul of my Soul had the feels, just wait until you read this one. Not only is this a tearjerker but it’s brilliantly written and OMG surprises galore. A definite MUST READ

Oh my gosh !! So emotional !
I am reading between calls at work and I’m crying and my throat getting all tight - it’s just wow. You wrote this so well and it reflected real life situations.

AMAZING
This book is an emotional roller coaster but damn, it is so worth it. This book made me laugh, cry and swoon. Easily one of Lisa Helen Gray’s most intense books but also one of the (for lack of better wording) most emotionally investing books I’ve ever read🤯 loved it

Lots of feels
I love the Hayes boys...they are always entertaining. Wyatt and Evie’s story is a great read that will give you all the feels. Loss, pain, and good versus down right evil...yet so much love and loyalty and strength throughout that you know love will win.

So in love with this book!
I have fallen madly in love with this family and their stories. This book was just a fabulous read. Tears were shed and laughter was had. A perfect read.

I don't know why I fucking keep reading it.. but here we are again.. there are so many problematic things in this.. but I will ignored them because there is a certain character that I'm very interested in reading about.. so y'all will see my reviews until that character get her own book.
