Fenn Meadowcroft is battling with a crisis of faith. For Fenn, life seems empty and unfulfilled until Lex moves in next door. She is so taken by him that she almost fails to notice that her other neighbor, frail and elderly May, is finding life hard to cope with.
I read this only recently, long after the era of the Aga-saga. 15 years ago it might have been a good read but now it feels dated. I couldn't actually finish it.
