This is a great resource to have if you are expecting or just had a baby. It's broken into bite-sized chunks by age (0-3 months, 4 months, 5 months, 6 months, etc.) and full of milestone checklists, safety tips, product and activity ideas. Some of the information in here was new to me, and some I had heard many times and was nice to have as peace-of-mind that what I'm doing is right for my baby and family.
Great introduction to milestones you can expect in a baby's first year of life. I found the activities particularly helpful. The author includes a lot of ways to engage with your baby that require minimal effort. I read a few chapters at a time to refresh my memory with baby #2 and get ready for what was to come. This is a book that you'll want to bookmark and come back to from time to time.
Another super useful guidebook- this one is for the full first year with each chapter covering a new month of milestones of development. In addition to checklists for developmental norms & milestones, Drewlo also gives a few pages of recommended activities for encouraging healthy, timely development. They are simple, practical and I found them so helpful!
As a soon to be Grammy I thought my daughter could use this book first time around. I loved it myself. Descriptive but not overly medical. Would surely suggest to new moms !
