This book was an ok read. I felt like there were a number of aspects of the story that were made to seem important, yet not enough detail was given to justify that sense of importance. It seemed like the story was not completely fleshed out. I thought several scenes rushed to a finish, and the storyline did not flow from one scene to another.
There was a scene were Gregory was interrogating someone. He evidently got the information he needed. We were not told the information. It basically said "he spouted off a story that made my blood boil." That was it. Details, I need details. So much felt like it was a tease, and there was no satisfying explanation given.
Further in the book, the same situation was discussed with his brothers. It read that the information was shared with them, but it wasn't shared with the reader. When I finally got the jist of the conversation Gregory had, I still had questions.
Gregory's brothers seemed more like background noise in most of the book. There were one or two references attributed to each of them regarding aspects of their personalities, but not enough to get a complete picture of their characters.
I felt like I missed something with Valentina/Autumn and her father. A couple of references were made to her about her father, but no real details were provided. At one point, Valentina said something about her father that indicated no relationship. At another time, Gregory made accusations regarding her father that sent her off the deep end. Then, he mentioned something later about her father that indicated he knew and understood the story, thereby understanding Valentina. It made no sense. There was not enough information given about her father to draw any conclusions. Why was he even mentioned in the book?
Also, I didn't bother to count how many times Maggie was mentioned in the book. It is not until almost the end that her relationship to Gregory is explained. The explanation is wrapped up in a few sentences. For someone to have such a major impact on Gregory us life, how can there not be more detail?
Gregory and Valentina's "romance" seemed almost secondary to the plot that was going on about taking down the brothers. Normally, Piper Stone's books hold my attention from start to finish. This book was not a satisfying read. I would give it 2.5 stars.

A simply riveting D/s read, simply riveting and enticing
Club Darkness was owned and run by three brother, Gregory, Christopher and Michael Dunmore and they trusted no one, they were known to mix with known criminals and that they had power over some of the most important people in the city.
Autumn Sutherland an undercover police officer is working under cover as Valentina a dancer at the club with the understanding that she would also be expected to undertake some D/s requirements.
Gregory had been suspicious about the new dancer in the club and he was also sure that after her first encounter with him that first night he had expected her not to return. The club is being investigated for a number of law-breaking activities such as underage girls, trafficking under age girls, controlling and using people in power within the city and she knows that there is something her Captain is not telling her.
The Dunmore family are wanted to be taken down and now she believed that in fact she had been taken of the DC police department records and also that she was living in an apartment that had no record of her existence, the more she discovered the more she felt that she was expendable and if the information was not satisfactory she would be expendable.
The brothers know that someone is trying to frame them as they have had various amounts of money deposited into various accounts into their accounts and now Autumn realises that perhaps the criminals are not those she is investigating, in fact the politicians and crime bosses were actually the dirty component of the crime she was investigating.
Embezzlement and extortion seemed to be the bone that she had to follow and she knew that she had to continue where the information was taking her, she had to discover who
Was watching her and who was the person leaking information from the bank about the unknown deposits. She knew that something did not feel right and even though she had the feeling that things were not black and white and that she had no ideal of who her friend or foe was and this was starting to eat away at her.
This is a wonderful read, there are so many twists and turn and she knew that she had to follow the evidence where it took her….
Gregory had changed her; the connection was so strong his darkness drew her in and she knew that she might pay with her life……

Bent to his will was interesting read that was just about sex but had a very good plot to it. It was a mystery with an intense sexual overtone. Piper Stone took you into the dark world of bdsm but didn’t just leave you there. It kept you on the edge of your seat as you tried to discern who was who. I will most definitely be a fan from here on out.

An exciting and dramatic romance full of twists and mystery

Autumn was a detective from another state employed to go undercover at Club Darkness. The club was owned by the three Dunmore brothers, was very exclusive with it's members offered a wide range of entertainment and adult activities. The police had information of sex trafficking among other crimes within the club and were determined to discover the truth. Gregory was in charge of security within the club, and had received a tip off that they were being investigated. Autumn ,now known as Valentina, was one of several new employees suspected of being a plant. Gregory felt that she was the plant but couldn't prove it. Every time he pushed her for the truth, she never broke. Again and again he tested her, pushing her to submit and punishing her for breaking his rules, but she never gave in. Their relationship was twisted with desire and punishment. Gregory taught Valentina the pleasure to be gain from pain, forcing her to submit to him. However, the brothers had much more dangerous problems to worry about. It was obvious that someone was planting incriminating evidence and sending threatening messages. At the same time Valentina and Gregory's relationship deepened despite the secrets they refused to share. I found this book an exciting and dramatic read full of twists and mystery as the story progressed to a dramatic conclusion.

Taken Against Your Will Fantasy w/ Light BDSM & Kink
The storyline is there to support the sexy scenes. Putting the female H in a position where she theoretically can’t say, “No” to sex and light BDSM with the male H. Of course, they are immediately attracted to each other and they can’t resist one another.
In stereotypical over domineering, over aggressive fashion he has sex with her without asking. She knows it’s coming and wants it, in her head she saying “no”, but her body says otherwise. This all happens within the first few pages. The rest is history after that.
The storyline is light and weak just there to put the main characters together so they can spend the rest of the book having unbelievable sex and of course fall in love and live HEA.
This is simply a “taken against your will” kind of fantasy book with some light BDSM & kink. This book is edgy is some sense.
I have no qualms with those that have these types of fantasies and live or fantasize about this sexual lifestyle, I typically like to have more meat to my storyline. Even if I was reading just for the sexy scenes this didn’t get my motor going. The scenes are hot I just need a more foreplay (not in literal meaning, but in depth of writing) in the writing to make it work.
Now that I know the style of writing of this author, if I read more books from them I will have different expectations going forward.
There are some grammatical and syntax errors, nothing too horrible. Mostly smooth reading.

Their intensity between them is blazing hot as Gregory helps Autumn explore her sensual limits to release the woman she is trying so desperately to keep caged inside. But Autumn is playing a dangerous game as she tries to fight her feelings for Gregory & figure out what is the truth in the web of deceit she has been thrust into. The demons from the past come back full throttle as the danger escalates. Someone has a vindictive vendetta to fulfill and Autumn is caught in the crosshairs. When their new found love is put to the test, will either of them make it out unscathed?

A really terrific Dark Romance
I really loved this story and I think you will as well if you like Dark sort of brooding heroes who make their woman obey them even though they treat them well all the while dominating them and making them submit. This book has quite a few steamy scenes that I loved. There is some suspense in the story as there is someone trying to take down the main male character and his company and his brothers at the same time. There is a nice HEA at the end of the story and the mystery of who was trying to take down the H is resolved as well.

I love this winning combination of Piper’s words and Thomas’s performance. With a fantastic storyline this book has everything I need to keep me hooked. I highly recommend this book.

This was another well executed story by Piper Stone who is adept at both
plot and character development.She creates anticipation that is hard to
beat.This is an enemies to lovers story filled with darkness and raw passion.
Valentina,( Autumn) is working undercover at Club Darkness investigating
Gregory Dunmore and his brothers.Gregory was ruthless and merciless.A
master manipulator who would hunt and destroy his enemies at will.He saw
through Valentina's facade.He would make her pay.She was his prey.He
would own her.He would train her. Then he would destroy her.She craved
the darkness he uncovered within her.Who would win this game of cat and
mouse?
I would have liked to know more about Gregory's past relationship that made
him so very cold.This book was intense,erotic and filled with forbidden desire.
I admired Autumn for her strength and resilience, but her body and mind were
at the mercy of Gregory's mastery.Gregory was dark and menacing in the best
possible way.He enemates raw potent masculinity.I liked how Autumn was able
to chip at the armor surrounding his heart.Good story that flowed well.It was
emotionally dark while still offering up enough for a happy ever after.There was
plenty of sex and punishment scenes to keep the readers happy.Loads of suspense
and danger thrown into the mix.

Piper Stone has the ability to immediately grab my attention, hold onto it, and literally immerse me into whatever world she has created. By the time I've finished reading, I feel like not only am I a part of the storyline but know the characters personally. What a journey this one has been! Autumn, aka Valentina, has just transferred into a new district from Reno and put on an undercover assignment. The only problem, the more questions she asks, the more she knows something is being hidden. As badly as she wants the assignment and the promotion that has been promised following its completion, her entire life has completely changed and she's been left on her own with no contact. Greg and his brothers own the kink club named 'Club Darkness' in DC. None of the three are small-time hoodlums, no sir. Millionaires in their own right, building on what their grandfather and father started, and Greg graduating as valedictorian of Princeton, they held more power than perhaps the president of the United States. Vetting members and employees were done with a fine-tooth comb. Nothing showed out of the ordinary, but Greg had his suspicions about their dancer Valentina. This dark, gritty, heart-pounding, adrenaline-racing story is their journey. If you enjoy this genre, by all means, don't miss this one. It's fantastic.

The plot is immensely intense with some suspenseful situations & there is good world building with outstanding scene descriptions. The characters are well-developed complex individuals with opposing personalities & realistic flaws but they actually have good chemistry between them.

Wow Ms. Stone, I LOVE this book! It is a fascinating study of two strong personalities that are in opposition to one another. Autumn is an undercover detective that has been brought in from out of state to infiltrate the club that the Dunmore brothers own. When the brothers get a tip from an informant that there is an operative in their club that is trying to find information, Gregory immediately suspects Valentina, which is Autumn's undercover alias. He decides to confront her and their adversarial relationship starts. He shows Autumn the deep dark secrets that her body loves. This book was full of sex and punishment scenes that were really satisfying! The plot of the story is well thought out and is thoroughly explored. Ms. Stone kept me guessing to the end, which doesn't happen very often. At the end, there is a suggestion that there might be more stories about the other brothers and I really hop that there are.

Autumn is a undercover detective working at Club Darkness. She was sent to get info on the Dunmore brothers. Autumn is working under a fake name which I just love because it's my name as well Valentina. Autumn's Captain wants her to get photos, files pretty much anything that will put the brothers in prison for the rest of their lives. Captain Snelling believes that the Dunmore brothers are using the same tactics as there father used too. Gregory is a dominate man and shows it to people that need it but he wants to brake Valentina down, he knows that she is hiding something. He has a craving for her that isn't going away. I can't wait to read about Christopher and Michael's stories and whats in store. I enjoyed reading this book. I loved the storyline and plot. Ummm, Wow. Just Wow! Gregory and his brothers have so many secrets and are so dark not much light hits their souls. Valentina may have been a character Autumn was playing but I think she grew to be more like Valentina than she anticipated. This was not just a simple undercover case. The attraction between Valentina/Autumn and Gregory was off the charts. This story had so many twists and turns. When you thought it was going to go darker it did but then turned around and went back to light. The scenes between Gregory and Valentina were pure fire. I am going to go find more books by Piper Stone. I loved this one!

At first I found it hard to sink into this story, but once I have it a chance I really enjoyed it. Washington D.C. Seems to be the place of secrets and lies, breeding them over generations. The dynamite brothers have a lot to live up to, in the name of their father's business around town. All three brothers seem to hold their own level of dominance. An aura that clings to their bodies. Gregory although came across as the youngest of the three have a more brutal vibe. His need for valentina was one that the gods would deem worthy of. Autumn was a strong character. She played the role she had been giving, but still held true to the person she was on the inside. Forever questioning herself and that of the job she was doing. Yet still managed to lure the beast from his lair. Good book.

Our heroine is undercover on an investigation into our hero, but she gets in over her head and our hero finds her. Things get messy from that point on.
This is a dark erotic romance with strong elements of D/S and punishment. The story is well written and easy to read with an intriguing cast of characters. Our hero and heroine as well developed and provide a nice focus for our story. The plot has several twists and turns which are intriguing, but the real focus is on our couple and the evolving relationship between them. If you like a dark romance, than this should be right up your alley. I certainly enjoyed it.

This was a different then the series I have already read by Piper Stone. I enjoyed the change of pace and story with the bdsm club owner and the under cover cop. I love Thomas Locklear with this versatile range for both men and woman. I am also super stoked not to hear “in every hole” near as much! While still an alphahole main character with dominant tendencies he seemed more real and not so pornish. I know that’s not a word but it works. Overall though good with heat that is an entertaining read. The added who done it component makes it more intriguing and this explores more of the bdsm life style then others I have listen to of hers. If you have triggers this book has them.

This book is book one of the Club Darkness series by Piper Stone. This book is entertaining and has twists and turns. Story will suck you in and won’t let you go till the end.
Valentina/ Autumn is an undercover cop investigating Gregory at Club Darkness. Gregory runs the club with his brothers. His gut is telling him something is off about his new dancer. After giving her chances to go away and not come back she returns. Autumn will have to face the punishment. Will she survive the punishment? Will she find the justice she is looking for or is there someone else that the investigation should be looking at?

Description had me thinking I wouldn’t enjoy this….
I read it in one day! Well crafted mystery/BDSM story with engaging, if not always sympathetic, characters. The romance is twisted and full of angst. I dislike mysteries that are easy to discern or seem to point to the perpetrator early and often. The ‘usual suspects’ including the Dunmore brothers were identified and always included in the periphery- even when the story seemed to ignore (not exonerate) them.
The BDSM was exciting and explicit, enough to arouse my feeling in a pleasant, exciting way. This was well worth my time invested and I will look for additional Club Darkness stories. I recommend for good story-telling with twists and secrets to keep me turning the pages.

Piper Stone delivers another kinky suspense thriller with so many twists and turns making this hard to put down...
Autumn is a detective working undercover in a private club as a dancer Valentina, but when she comes under suspicion by Gregory Dunmore, one of the club owners and enforcer so he punishes her even though he can’t seems to resist her...
I loved the interaction all the the characters have to this story and the intriguing plot just kept me guessing right till the end, and the hot steamy scenes were just WOW hot....

This was a pretty intense story. I really wanted to know more about Gregory's involvement/relationship with Maggie, though. What kind of dark, kinky stuff were they up to that messed with his head when Maggie's estranged husband killed her? Maybe that's for another book....hint, hint?!? Anyway, I enjoyed Gregory and Autumn/Valentina getting to know each other and getting to know some of their limits in BDSM play, or at least with Gregory introducing her to some play. I hope we get books about Gregory's brothers, Michael and Christopher also.

I don't think Piper Stone has written a book that I didn't love. Autumn is an undercover detective and has been brought in to infiltrate the Dunmore brothers club. Somehow the brothers get a tip and Gregory suspects Valentina, aka Autumn. When he confronts her there tremulous relationship starts. There is mafia, corruptio, investigations, intrigue, discipline, spankings, domination/submission, passion, love and steamy scenes. These two are fantastic together, both strong personalities. Well deserved HEA at the end. Highly recommend. I received an ARC of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

Working as an undercover cop, Autumn (Valentina) infiltrates Club Darkness as a dancer and one of the owner’s, Gregory suspects she is not who she claims to be. Someone is trying to destroy Gregory, his brothers and their club. The more Autumn is around Gregory she comes to realize he and his brothers are bring set up. Emotions run high and danger is ever present. The story is well written, entertaining and suspenseful. It is an excellent read and I would highly recommend it.

This was an amazing book and once I started it I couldn’t put it down. It is sexy, hot and full of intrigue and suspense. The dynamic between Gregory and Valentina/Autumn is so hot it sizzles. Both of them have secrets and even though Gregory suspects that Valentina is an undercover cop he cannot resist her. Autumn comes to realise that the Gregory and his brothers are not what her Captain believes and tries to prove it. Gregory starts to fall for Autumn and wants to protect her. They are both in danger but eventually there is a happy ending. A truly great read.

Wow! The fertile mind of Piper Stone does it again!! This is a page turner with lots of hot happenings and suspense. You won’t be able to put it down. The male MC has it all, wealth, looks and attitude. Our female MC is prepared to do what it takes to get the job done. He is determined to break her and she’s determined not to be. There is some BDSM and you have a great read. This book is very, very dark. I would not recommend this book for the average reader. Please do not read the book if you have any triggers.

This is a good Piper Stone book. Autumn spied on and tried to expose the brothers at Club Darkness. They do not trust her. Autumn is working undercover to bring down the brothers and Gregory was suspicious of Autumn from the start. The more Autumn digs the more confused she becomes to what is really true and what is an attempt to frame someone.....This has it all and I could not put it down. Great doms and action, and intrique.

An ok read
Valentina /Autumn is an undercover detective, who enters the dark world of Gregory, as one of his dancers. She is there under orders from her Captain, to find out information that will put Gregory and his two billionaire brothers behind bars.
It was a bit back and forth and drew me in at times, but then lost me. I nearly just flicked through it, as I was a little bored with Valentina and the storyline.
To be honest, most of the things happened in the last few % of the book. A lot of time spent on the back and forth story and a rushed ending.
Not my favourite book by this author by a long stretch.

She begins to feel that her captain that sent her to the club is wrong about what he thinks is going on at the club. This is their story on finding each other
