Finally Shane and Alexa's story!
This couple has danced around each other with innuendo and subtle pokes and probes and I love their story!
This book has it all. There are spies and espionage, lies and deceit, but most importantly a lot of dirty, smexy scenes and pages of hotness.
But that ending! Peyton and Stone, oh my heart is pounding. And what about Danton, we need to know about him!
This series is captivating and keeps the reader demanding more!

I have read every book in this series and anxiously awaited the story on Shane. Nothing could have prepared me for how incredible this story is. Yet again, this author has captivated me with her words. Needless to say, my emotions are all over the place.
Shane aka Master Fox is such an incredible character. Yes, he is a sadist, but when it comes to Alexa, he’s so much more than that. These two have known each other for years, yet never acted on their feelings for one another. Until one day, Shane decided to do something about it. He knows she is perfect for him and he will prove to her that they belong together. Alexa is a spirited woman who you can’t help but love. She is sassy, yet submissive when it comes to Shane. The chemistry between these two is sizzling! I loved their interactions and knew in my heart they belonged together. But when outside forces threaten this burgeoning relationship, Shane will do everything in his power to stop them.
I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again, these stories are not just about BDSM and relationships. They have mystery, intrigue and heart stopping moments. I loved everything about this book. Prepare yourself for a wild ride of which you won’t want to ever end!

This is an intense, dark and completely absorbing book. The suspense in the middle is so intense I almost put it down for a breather, then I read the fish hook scene and that completely took my mind off it. Then I got to the farmhouse scene and had to finish the book. The ending just blew me away and brought tears to my eyes and now I have to wait. Cruel Linzi, cruel.

Finally Shane and Alexa story, each book on this series are a must read but this one is amazing! The characters are the ones we loved since book one, and their interaction insert you on their reality, hot scenes pushing boundaries but always following the BDSM directive of safe, sane and consensual those scenes are so hot..... the book has everything love, mystery, humor, action, intrigue involving espionage...and I simply couldn’t stop to read it.. Linzi that end left me with my heart on my hand please let us know when the next book is coming out because can’t wait to see what will happen with Peyton and also need to know about Danton......I think Billy deserves his happily ever after and Danton tooo......please tell us who will find a very sassy and strong sub next? Can’t wait.

Wow wow wow what else can I say, the series just keeps getting better, each time I read one I think you can't too this but again and again I'm proven wrong. Once again Linzi has whisked us away to castle sin only this time the focus is on Shane aka Master Fox. Shane is a sadist and has had his eye on Alexa who happens to be a masochist though they have flirted with each for awhile Shane has now decided that the time is right for him to make her his. I don't like to give away much in reviews as I would hate to spoil anything, what I will say is that this was amazing full of twists and will most definitely make you feel all types of emotions. What Linzi does well is the thrill and suspense that she weaves into the story. Yes there are some hot sizzling sex scenes, but also so much more full of depth and great characters that makes the reader want more. Can't wait to see what's next highly recommended read.

Ooooh, Master Fox. Shane Sinclair. Just the moniker & his name gives me the most delicious of chills. Not you? Because you haven't read this book. Once you do? Shivers of the sensual ilk, sadistic pleasure & punishments with delightful dollops of pain to spice things up. Oh yes, Master Fox will curl your toes as well as make your hair curl for the non-masochists among us. BUT, remember, if you aren't one, reading about Master Fox's tantilizating torments is the safest way to encounter them. And extra sizzling too.
Ms. Bassett never (IMO) ever fails to bring her A game to one of her books. The pacing, plotting & characters are wonderfully complex but not confusing, in fact they always suck me so deep into the stories I forget I'm reading. That's why before I start one of her books I ensure I'm comfy, settled & NOT going to be interrupted.
Shane's book is a skilled balance of sizzle, scorch, danger, intrigue, betrayal, suspense, thrills & chills; none of these aspects ever overwhelms any of the others, ensuring the reader is smoothly launched from worry & concern for loved characters to lust & steamy sizzle & back to the thrills & chills of danger & global intrigue of the most evil kind.
Shane is an uber sadist who has caged his true beast for years, afraid to set him loose on masochistic submissives who are not prepared for the deep dark hungers of his true nature. And that is the flip side of this man, as deep & dark as his sadistic urges are, the care & protection of a submissive ALWAYS comes first & foremost. BUT, his beast has been tracking one of the long time subs at Castle Sin: testing her, tracking her, studying her . . . . And at last it appears she IS ready to take his beast on . . . .
Alexa is a masochist, as a matter of fact, she's deeply masochistic & has longed & lusted for Master Fox for years. Yet over those years he's never indicated any serious interest in Alexa as his sub or woman & she's now at the point of 'fish or cut bait' with the frightening & sadistic Dom. But Alexa has a dark secret from before she came to Castle Sin, one she fought a bitter battle to overcome & that patiently lurks, waiting deep within her mind to spring forth . . . .
This one is a beautifully written tale of 2 people meant to be together, two sides of the same coin, two perfectly matched pieces of a puzzle. It details how the honor & support, strength & honesty, commitment & determination combined with the heartfelt love of a trusted partner can heal & repair the most fractured heart & trust. It is a warm as well as scorchingly hot love, but Shane & Alexa are refreshingly mature adults who do not play games with the other's heart. Their bodies? Oh, yes. Delightful deviously depraved games they both need AND thoroughly enjoy.
And through this love story Ms. Basset deftly winds the threads of danger, suspense & intrigue to ratchet the reader's tensions up & keep them on exciting tenterhooks from beginning to end.

This is one hell of a roller-coaster ride of a story - hang on!
OMG! My heart can’t take anymore! I am sitting her blubbering while I try to write a review for this amazing book. The story is dark, pulse-racing, heart stopping and with nail biting suspense – this story has it all. I don’t think I have any fingernails left after reading this story. What an intense roller-coaster rider of emotions Shane and Alexa took me on. Their story literally kept me on the edge of my seat, either sweating with anticipation of what the hell could possibly happen next, or making my panties disintegrate with all of the highly erotic moments between Shane and Alexa. I never knew that fishhooks could make me squirm so much! DAMN! Then throw in one very intense, very emotional, very heartbreaking cliffhanger of an ending and I am now crying and cursing the author. I have been left shocked and breathless, on the edge of a very steep cliff, not knowing ANYTHING!!!
Now that I got that out of my system, I freaking loved this book. Shane and Alexa are everything. The were truly meant for each other, even if it took years for them both to realize it. They have captivated me and left me swooning with love for them both and the whole Sinclair gang.
Highly recommend but just know that you will be squirming in your seat throughout and left utterly shocked by the end!

Linzi Basset never fails to bring you a fabulous read. She knows how to pull you in and make you feel like you are a part of the story’s she telling and this book is no different.
Shane is Master Fox the last of the Sinclair’s to find his one and only but his tastes in women are a little different than the other men, he is into the sadistic part of the BDSM world and after being burned once before he doesn’t trust easy but the one woman who may fit that bill is their employee. Lady S has never had an easy life but since she has been at Castle Sin and working for BSE she has found her purpose and the man she has loved for years, but he never gives her a chance to prove herself until she is attached by one of the other masters and he intervenes. Their story was one filled with so many ups and downs and emotions. But the way the story has evolved over all the books you will be so surprised with the out come and all that it in tells you will close the last page with a lot of tears and a huge WTH just happened.
Linzi is one of the only writes Ive read that can weave a story with true romance, BDSM, mystery and corruption that leaves your mind and emotions all over the place and keeps you trying to figure out what you just read and where its going next. Now that I’ve dried my tears and pulled myself together I will be waiting over here in the corner.

The Sinclairs and BSE are in an all out race to completely cripple SPEONUS and prevent them from regrouping.

I've been waiting for Shane, the silver haired Master Fox, to finally get his head out of his a$$ and claim his one and only. This book will have you on the edge of your seat. You will want to reach into the pages and grab him by the throat, shake him and ask him why. Alex thinks she's been subtle in her pursuit, but actually everyone knows she and Master Fox need to connect. Can she be all he needs, will he give her what she desires, help her thru her fears, past and bring her to she knows she wants to be. You will just have to read the book to find out ... this book is twisted, realistic, heart felt and so emotional you will need tissues and a strong drink or coffee to get thru.

An amazing story so beautifully written! I totally could not put down this book once I started reading it!! Mystery, suspense, twists and turns throughout and a story that is intense and exciting. Plenty of hot sexy BDSM scenes included which also are intense as Shane is a sadist. I definitely recommend reading this book!!

This really deserves 15 stars
Ms. Basset writes the best books. She combines great characters, action, suspense, enthralling story lines, and BDSM into a marvelous reading experience. I have loved every one of her books. The only sad part is having to wait for the next one.

January 23, 2021Very disappointed in the ending. If Danton's book doesn't change the direction of this ending, I don't think I'll read anymore of her books.
This one also went a little further than I prefer on the dark BDSM, but overall I still loved the story and the characters.

Will definitely never see fishing and hook the same way now... a great one in the Castle Sun series. Danton struggles and Shane’s engagement with the beautiful Alexa are perfect thread. The plot is growing darker despite the high hopes and then... well better to get tissues around ...

Unfortunately, this was my least favorite book of he Castle Sin series. I'm not much for the sadistic sex scenes but I still enjoyed the story line. The ending was heartbreaking but I'm hoping the next book will make things right.
