Okay, I'm a late bloomer who's a big DC comics fan and spent my childhood summers on the Jersey shore but I was born under a wandering star and have lived in different parts of America ever since. That's enough about me. Need to feel inspired today? Looking for something to make you root for an ordinary hero? I'm all about that in everything I write.
I love a good tale that makes me wonder about things and I love a story even more that leaves me feeling inspired or like I'm capable of doing more than I realized. That's my goal with everything I've ever written. Some of the stories I tell involve twisting, turning thrillers and others have a lot of magic.
There's something to be said for getting lost in another world and coming out the other side feeling a little better about yourself or the possibilities in front of you. That's basically the best part of life in a nutshell, no matter what kind of story I'm setting out to tell.
There was so much happening in this book, that it's hard to set it straight enough to describe, so I'm not going to even try.
This doesn't mean that it confused me, because it didn't - it's just that, to describe it, I feel it would be best to actually read the book yourself.
This way, you'll catch all those little moments that make a good story great. You'll catch the nuances of conversations, and all the many actions, that have so many moving parts, that it takes an excellent writer to make it seem simple! Lol
I've loved Michael Anderle, and Martha Carr's works since I read the very first one, in 2020 - when this book, and series, was actually published - though it's taken me up to now, to get to it - and this series is as good as all the rest!
To be honest, I'm not really sure when I'll be able to get around to rereading any of my thousands of physical books, as Michael, and his many co-authors, keep publishing ever more books, and series, to add to my Kindle!
But, I'll keep trying to play catch-up, one book at a time, and I'll continue on, now, to Book Eight - the final book of this series: 'Warmage: Dragon Rider', to continue on my reading journey.
Once I've finished this, I'll catch you on the flip side, to let you know what I think about this last book, and the series as a whole!
Really fun installment: Raven with Connor find who messed with the world's magic while Bella, Henry Murphy & the Fowler Academy staff help those who suddenly have magic! But don't forget the valiant efforts of the Dragon Trainers of Lomberdoon which surprised all. On the Miss Ranch, the cutest little baby dragons are born...with magic! Another fantastic job by Martha Carr. Happy belated birthday Martha!
PS. When I asked our cats which book I should read between this one & another one, they ALL wanted more Raven, & Leander! So do I!
I have it a 5 because I can't think of a single book Martha has written that did not deserve a 5 or a 10 for that matter. I have masks and coffee cups from almost all her books. Yep I'm a big fan. Peace to all. Read everything she has written, totally worth the time. The smile I get when I wear my Yumfuck Tiberus Troll mask is always great fun. Can't wait until last book!
Another fantastic story and adventure for Raven, her grandfather Conner, friends at the academy and just about all who know her. Magic has run amok for those who don't know how to control it and many are at the academy learning how. Folks from all around Brighton from small town and cities all over the kingdom, have come to find out what to do. The story continues and we shall see if Raven and Conner have figured out the spell that will end the chaos.
Raven and Leander’s relationship deepens as they pursue their mission and work to find a solution to the magic problem. It’s good seeing their friends working separately, but also as a group, to hold the fort whilst Raven and Leander are away. All in all, another great story in the series and I look forward to seeing what happens next.
Raven is with her grandfather trying to find out how to fix magic. The others are trying to help the ones that now have magic. Oh did I forget to mention Giants (Guardians).
I loved this story, epic characters and the way the story progressed was fantastic. I can hardly wait for the next installment. Keep writing i love your style. I have followed your other books as well.
What does Raven and her friends do. She goes to find out with her grandfather Connor by dragons. Her friends have to stay behind to help with the wild magic. Great books a lot of fun, adventure and magic. Read the whole series.
I’m starting to struggle when it comes to continuing the series. The citizens are too dumb as are the adults. But I’m still curious what happens. So I’ll not rate this one since it is probably more me than a significant change in the books.
Totally awesome!! Things get even more exciting in this book!! Is that even possible? YES!! Great series, awesome characters, a whole lot of fun to read! And DRAGONS!!! Love it!!
Everyone gets involved in this story. There are a lots of moving pieces but all things are explained nicely along the way. Raven has a really great adventure with her Grandfather.
