A boy who can't find what he wants.
A Daddy who doesn't know what he needs.

With his big blue eyes, lean frame, and propensity for adorkable clumsiness, Mikey Harrison is a Daddy magnet...for the wrong type of Daddy. Those who mistake his desire to serve as an open invitation to mistreat him and abuse his trust.

But all of that changes when he lays his eyes on Stirling Bishop. Sure, the strong, silent (and irresistibly sexy) type ticks all of his boxes, but it's the tenderness underlying Stirling’s strength that makes him achingly irresistible.

For Mikey, it's insta-love.
For Stirling, it's insta-huh?

Despite looking like he was put on this earth to be the Daddy of every boy's dreams, the thought of dating a younger guy has never even crossed Stirling's mind, much less the idea of being a Daddy.

But there's no denying that Mikey awakens something deep within him—the desire to dominate, the need to care. It's been dormant, yet bubbling under the surface within him for his entire life.

Can Mikey help Stirling find the strength he needs to be the Daddy he was meant to be...and become the Daddy of Mikey's dreams?

3 "I want to please and I want to serve” stars

“Sometimes, we don’t need words,” he said, breathing seductively into my ear. “Sometimes, all we need is two bodies, two thick, rigid cocks, and one strong Daddy spanking his boy.”

I’m really sorry book, this is a case of it’s not you, it’s me. I’m pretty sad that i’m only giving this 3 stars because I adore Casey Cox’ writing and I was loving the book for a big part of it. But I really don’t like when a book starts really low angst and no drama and then ends up being filled with drama at the end, and it happened here, and way too much for my taste.

Brief summary of the book: Mikey is a boy who has been wronged by daddies before and all he wants is to find a daddy that will take care of him. He meets Sterling and he is sure that he is the daddy for him. But Sterling never saw himself as a daddy and he never dated someone younger than him. And Sterling is the strong and silent type and he has a lot of opening up and thinking to do if he wants to get Mikey.

First, I really fucking love Casey Cox’s writing, it flows so well and it’s really fucking nice to read. And I love how he can make the smallest things so easy to imagine happening. I never had a problem imagining what was happening in the book.

Second, I really enjoyed how them getting together wasn’t easy, they had to fight for it a little and I really enjoyed that.

Third, Sterling was the strong and silent type, which is my favourite. And I loved how he had to learn to open up a little and talk about his feelings and what he wants in order to make the relationship work. It was so fucking realistic, I adored that part.

Fourth, I loved Sterling’s eploration of who he is a daddy, that was brillant, I enjoyed it very much.

Fifth, I really loved how they slowy opened up to each other and how they learnt to trust the other, that part felt so real, it was brillant.

Sixth, I really loved how the characters felt like real people, they were so nicely fleshed out and had flaws and weaknesses and doubts and they just felt real. I really loved both of these guys and their friends, everyone was nicely fleshed out.

Seventh, I really loved how sensual the book was, it was so so good. And the sex scenes were damn brillant too. I loved them very much.

But, sadly, the three things that annoy me the most in books are a lot of drama towards the end, miscommunication and the break up at 75% and all three were in this book.

The drama, what the fuck was that? The book was really chill and then suddently both of their exes showed up and created a lot of unnecessary drama that really really wasn’t needed in the story.

The miscommunication was so bad in this one. Something happens and instead of talking about it, one of them just cuts off all contact and refuses to hear the other’s side of the story. That really didn’t work for me. Just. Talk. Dammit.

Also, the break up at 75% felt really fabricated and it really didn’t need to happen, and it just led to all of the annoying miscommunication, so I would have prefered if it didn’t happen.

I just wish this book had stayed low angst and drama free like at the start because I was loving it very much before all of the unnecessary drama.

I liked this author's writing style and what was on offer. The humor had just enough sweetness without being sugary and slight sass without sounding ridiculous and it was consistent throughout the book. It's rare for me to like lighthearted funny cute books, but here I am liking it! Yay me! Anyway, this was low angst, low steam and mild Daddy/Boy kink exploration. The characters were likeable and the situations felt real and were easy to relate to. For the most part I enjoyed the book. There were couple of ways that author caused mild angst between characters that was not a favorite and was too obvious but she made up for it with absolutely precious epilogue. What I took away from this book was - trust second chances, never stop trying and be open and communicate with your loved ones. The series has a lot of promise and I am very curious which direction Casey Cox takes her Daddies! Copy received for my honest and unbiased review

Note: this author might be more suited for novellas. Too much time is spent on telling instead of showing and the time jumps that tell us what happened for the rest of the night/day brings me back to the point that there’s too much being told of what happened instead of showing us on page. The parts that are shown are good, the dialogue flows nicely but the story is bogged down by the telling parts + too much internal thoughts, weird time jumps.

DNF after they quickly resolved the horribly manufactured third act break up. 🤦🏻‍♀️

Being a Daddy is something his three best friends are, not Stirling.
Until his path crosses Mikey’s, a twenty-four-year-old sweet and adorable boy.

Stirling, nearly forty, is a closed-off guy, exhausted and is limited in vocally expressing himself. Mikey offers comfort and affection, he opens Stirling’s gates.
Mikey is honest about his needs and Stirling wants to be the one for him even though he doesn’t open up about his own. His knowledge about a Daddy/boy dynamic is limited too.

This was such a naturally flowing journey. Stirling was a beautifully flawed Daddy who had a lot to learn.
He was closed off, never spoke a lot. For Mikey he wants to learn, it would never work as a one-way thing. Mikey touched a thing in him that will be never untouched again.

The story had just the right little hurt comfort here and there to make it emotional, and just enough sexual tension to make it delicious. My dirty mind was a bit disappointed by Stirling’s confession about his preference. It was way too sweet. For Stirling, it was huge so that made it acceptable to me.
This narrative had a few interesting side stories with family and friends. Hopefully, we get to read more about them in the next installment.
The end was just perfect it made my eyes a bit blurry.

Overall a nicely written narrative, the Daddy/boy and age-gap aspects were slightly developed but enough to be satisfying.
It was entertaining with a friendly vibe and good doses of humor, hurt comfort, and sexiness.

A Joyfully Jay review.

4 stars

First is the first book in a series of Daddy-boy romances and it’s off to a good start. This is a sweet and sexy story, eventually, once Stirling gets over the age difference phobia he has. He’s wrongly thought that young men would all be silly and frivolous, but his interactions with Mikey tell him how unfair these prejudices are. Mikey is sweet and direct, and he blows Stirling away with both his compassion and his courage. It isn’t long before their early misconceptions of one another are replaced by a growing bond and a deep rapport.

This story is meant to be a bit of a fairytale romance, with a plot that’s mostly soft and smooth and breezy, and with a definite happy ending.

Mikey meets construction company owner
Stirling at a party.

Mike was cute and fun and full of life, Stirling a little more jaded, he's dealing with a lot.
I enjoyed them getting to know each other.
This was an enjoyable, easy read with a little bit of drama, sweetness and some great friends for a new daddy and his boy.

This was cute. I like both Sterling and Mikey. They are cute together. I also liked some of the side characters. The story was nice but nothing super exciting.
I do have a thing for daddy stories but somehow this whole book was lacking something.
One thing that I didn’t enjoy much was that Sterling was making such a secret out of his sexual needs and in the end I was confused because I feel it’s not that big of a deal. Of course it’s always valid when people feel nervous because of their sexual fantasies but I just expected something more “extrem” with the way Sterling acted about it.
Then I really did not like the way Mikey reacted to the scene in the restaurant towards the end. I do get that he was hurt because of what he thought was happening but not long ago they had a talk about that Mikey has to talk with Sterling if something bothers him and then he just ignores him instead.
There were a few other things that bothered me a little.
However overall this was a good book and I enjoyed reading it.

First timers are always fun to read and Daddy kink is my all time favorite - so I was really, really excited about this book.

I enjoyed the story, but it wasn't a daddy/boy book. If I can't feel the emotions and see that the characters are really Daddy and Boy, I can't say it's perfect. When it's only written on the pages, when it's only the words 'Daddy' and 'Boy', it's not a daddy kink for me.

I get that it was a first time Daddy, but the boy was not a first timer. They weren't really in the lifestyle, the words were only used a couple of times and I think it needs to be used more if they are really in this.

I enjoyed the first half but after I realised this isn't that kind of daddy book I love, I lost interest. It wasn't bad, but wasn't what I need in a Daddy kink book.

If you a first timer too, go ahead and read it, you'll enjoy it. But if you're a hardcore daddy kink lover like me, this isn't for you.

4.5 stars. Okay so this was a sweet basically no angst read. I did have an issue that I didn't feel the Daddy/boy kink. I love a good Daddy/boy read & this one wasn't it for me. Stirling meets Mikey when he attends one of his best friend's birthday party. The guys are all Daddys & they all well off except for Stirling. He is going through a lot. He is in the middle of a long time wrongful death case on behalf of his mother who could have been saved if the medical personnel would have arrived when they were summoned at the home that his parents live at. He is under a lot of stress. Mikey is a sweetheart who sees the perfect Daddy for him while he is subbing as a footstool. I enjoyed watching these two open their hearts to each other & falling love. I can't wait to read more about Stirling's friends & Mikey's best friend and boss.

First is an impressive book by Casey Cox. The first book in the 99 Daddies series, it's a fun May to December romance.

This age gap story starts off with plenty of humorous moments. Mikey's job assignment is not your typical job, and there's plenty of fun to be had. Meanwhile Stirling's a reluctant guest at his friend's birthday party. But spotting the intriguing young man across the room chances everything for him .

Stirling's never been a daddy before, but his friends are and he's familiar with the world. He's always struggled with the term before, but meeting Mikey has him re-evaluating his beliefs.

Take note though that there isn't a whole lot of kink or daddy play going on. It's definitely used more as a title than as a part of their behavior. I am okay with that because everything else was so sweet, but some people might not be. Definitely skip when you're in the mood for some heavy kink.

Their opposite personalities are fabulously illustrated. Stirling's so quiet and serious, yet tender. Mikey's talkative and can't sit still. Their differences definitely add to the fun.

Written in alternating 1st person pov, the emotions jump off the pages . Hesitancy. Awkwardness. Fear. Vulnerability. Understanding. It's all wonderfully done. And I love the tone, characters, and storyline. Basically, I am excited for the rest of this series. But I am not going to be assuming the others will have heavy daddy play.

First is a great light kink tale. Casey Cox excels in combining heart, humor, and kink (sort-of) in an emotional way. Both men are real and genuine in this story of taking chances, opening up, and acceptance.

Cute first book in a series by a new-to-me author.

I was taken right away by the idea for a series where a mid-sized fictional American city houses an inordinate population of single, hot, older Daddies and young, sexy, adventurous Boys who match up and get it on while being whimsical romance careerists like naked butlers, cake sitters, and bakers (okay, the last one is pretty normal). I mean, what else is romance for? A sexy escape in a world much more interesting than our own.

The characters here are pretty decent, though pretty unmemorable. If you like the "strong, stoic one falling for the sweet, shy one" trope, you're getting that here. I also like the way real-life issues like money, work, parents, and romantic expectations are dealt with without losing the romantic sparkle. The actual sex and love scenes are pretty forgettable, but the chemistry is still fun.

Definitely new and charming enough to keep going with the series!

✮ (¸.•´For Mikey, it's insta-love. For Stirling, it's insta-huh?

"I came into his life as a human footstool." ~Mikey

Every Daddy/boy relationship is different, one character stated, and that is so correct. But what happens when a man doesn't even know he had Daddy instincts? How does a Daddy become a Daddy to a boy he just met? Quiet and reserved, that was Stirling Bishop. With more stressors under his belt and a craptastic relationship haunting him, meeting Mickey felt like the final straw. The younger man expressed his desire to make Stirling his Daddy, but uncertainty was the older man's stronghold.

With friends and family, and a need growing stronger, both Stirling and Mikey persevered and slowly took the leap forward. On the way, there were some issues, but what are good friends for if they don't show you the err of your ways? Stirling truly was the strong, silent type and Mikey certainly had no filter whatsoever. Yet, these two were able to make it work. This was a sweetheart of a story and I really enjoyed. And that ending...I'm not crying, you are. Book 0.5, Start: 99 Daddies set off the Daddy theme and this book quickly fed off of it. Excited that more stories are in the works and they will end happily ever after.

I voluntarily and honestly reviewed this book without bias or persuasion from the author.

I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. Casey Cox has written a great story that brings the joy into a truely well written story of two men who have had their hearts broken from previous partners and find each other in a very different way. Mikey and Stirling are the perfect combination of Daddy/Boy relationship. They will make you fall in love with them, cry with them and laugh with them and lastly celebrate their union together. For her first novel, Casey Cox has created the perfect story. I’m hoping that she brings the same standard to many more stories. I’m anxious to read more about the rest of the men we were introduced to in this story.

This book was super cute. I absolutely loved the writing style and couldn’t put this down, I was that into the story.

Mikey is 24, Stirling is a few months shy of 40. Love me some age gap romances. Stirling is quiet, doesn’t talk much, has never been a Daddy before. His last partner also cheated on him and he’s exhausted with other stuff going on in his life, so he definitely doesn’t think he has time for a relationship or even wants one... until Mikey shows up. Mikey’s also had some bad experiences in the past with his ex, so seeing him start to trust Stirling and seeing Stirling also open up more to Mikey was so great. It made me happy.

...then there was some drama and I wanted to cry for Mikey. I felt bad for him in that moment but I’m glad that Stirling got it together and took the initiative to work it out. What’s a good romance book without a tiny bit of drama, anyway? 😏

The epilogue was everything I ever want in an epilogue: happily ever after with all smiles and cuteness.

I’m really excited to read the next book in this series about Nick and Steel. I’m sure it’ll be just as great as this one. Definitely worth the read.

What a wonderful surprise!

I started and stopped 3 books in a row before I found this gem! I wanted a book that just pulled me in from the beginning, made me feel good, and made me smile. I found it all in this book! Casey Cox is a new to me author and I cannot wait to read more! I knew from the moment I started reading that I would like this book. The writing just worked for me, I was drawn into the characters and the story immediately and read this straight through without stopping.
I adored everything about Stirling and Mikey's relationship. From how they first met, to their first date, their first kiss, just everything. Mikey was a strong character, he went after what he wanted and had an independence about him that I really liked seeing in a 24 year old. Stirling, just about to turn 40, still had a lot to figure out about what he really needed. The way he and Mikey navigated that aspect of their relationship was so refreshing to read...they communicated, they were honest, they talked about things.
This was a daddy/boy light book with the focus much more on their relationship overall than the dynamic, but I really liked getting to witness why it worked for them, why it was perfect for what they both needed. They just made sense in this type of relationship together. There was some mild miscommunication that led to a few bumps in the road on their way to their HEA, but it was handled well and was a nice dynamic for their storyline.
Lastly, I just fell in love with all of the side characters! Stirling and his group of friends (all daddies who are getting their own stories!!), were just fabulous! I loved their conversations, their friendship, their banter...just everything! I cannot wait to read Mikey's friend Nick's story next! So happy to have found this new series, just so great!

First is a nice story overall with some good characters. I enjoyed Mikey occasionally taking charge and leading Sterling as he steps into the Daddy role for the first time. This is something that he struggles with a little as he's never really felt this way before but Mikey draws that from him. Luckily he has a great group of friends in the lifestyle that he can turn to for advice.
Both men are quite low on self esteem with bad break ups in their recent past but definitely see the good in each other and the possibilities that they could share. Each ex actually brings a little drama to the story in their own way, causing trouble and Sterling doesn't help with his reluctance to share his thoughts and feelings, being a naturally quiet man. Mikey more than makes up for it with his exuberance and they balance each other out in that way.
I did get a little frustrated with both MC's as they make things a little harder than they need to be after promising to talk to each other about everything with the way that they tentatively went into a relationship but it doesn't take long for that not to happen. Yes it adds drama to the story but I felt like there was already enough going on.
I enjoyed all of the characters and am looking forward to getting to know them all better, especially Steele and Nick who we get a taster of in this book. There's are real strong bonds of friendship which I think are needed for the types of relationship that they have, the community that provides support and care for each other.
I received an ARC and am happily giving a review.

Independent reviewer for Archaeolibrarian, I was gifted my copy of this book.

I gotta say this, I read two new Daddy books (as in Daddy who did not know they really were a Daddy) back to back. This one fell after the first, and I find myself comparing the two. And I shouldn't, I know, but I just felt I should say that and you know that I am all about how I FEEL about my books.

Stirling meets Mikey and then runs. While Mikey will deal with the fact that the one man he really wants doesn't want him, he;s not happy about it. Coming face to face again and then going on a date with Stirling was amazing. But Stirling doesn't know what he wants, he doesn't know how to be a Daddy and Mikey needs a Daddy.

I found this a delightful read, that is very light on any sort of kink. Not in a bad way, because I don't think that either Stirling or Mikey are heavy into kink, other than the daddy/boy relationship they both seem to need. Given Stirling's past relationship had been mostly vanilla, and Mikey had been all Daddy/boy. Mikey has more experience than the older Stirling. Stirling is, however, willing to finally admit to what he wants, and who he wants and HOW he wants that relationship to be. Mikey is all aboard that plan, since Stirling was eager to listen to Mikey.

I loved that Stirling was not a man of many words, but that Mikey could read Stirling like a book. Mikey is the chatterbox to Stirling's strong silent type. Stirling can find the words when he needs to though, and he does redeem his mess-up with some beautiful words!

If you never tried a Daddy/boy book before, this may very well be the one for you. It's steamy, but focuses more on the EMOTIONAL needs of such a relationship, rather than the physical ones. The need for Stirling to look after Mikey, and for Mikey to accept that care is the predominant feeling running through this book.

There is a wonderful supporting cast, and I know that one pairing for the next book is laid out here. Be interesting to see how THAT one plays out!

A delightful, wonderful, sweet and sexy 4 stars

.
It's always fun to read about a clueless character getting to know themselves and figuring out what they like. This is one such book. It follows our two main characters Stirling and Mikey as they meet in a chance encounter under a funny setting, and them figuring their lives and their likes out with each other.
.
First, I loved Stirling's character portrayal. He was the responsible one with lots of weight on his shoulders and I felt bad for his exhausting life. Mikey was the energy ball in the story with so much sass, Character and he knew what he wanted. It's a usual story line, but I really liked the writing style and the story telling. The group of friends Stirling had was a solid circle, and the drama with the ex was just hilariously stupid and made me laugh so hard (Mind you the scene was traumatic for the Characters. I just found the payback funny). Overall, I really had a good time reading the book and the ending definitely made me a mushy goo(If that's even possible).

First is book 1 in the 99 Daddies series. I love this beautifully written Daddy/boy age gap story about Mikey and Stirling. Mikey is working at Stirling's friend's birthday party when he spots Stirling for the first time. And to Mikey, Stirling would be the right Daddy for him. The only problem, Stirling isn't a Daddy, even though his three friends are. I love the connection Mikey and Stirling have and how Stirling wants to do right by Mikey and give him everything he needs, as well as Mikey wanting to give Stirling what he needs. I loved watching Mikey bring out the Daddy in Stirling. Even though Stirling hadn't dated younger men before, Mikey is just the right man for him. They really are so good for each other. This is such an enjoyable story and I can't wait for Nick's story. Definitely recommend!

Great read. Thoroughly enjoyed this one. I believe this is Casey's first MM book and really hope they publish some more very soon. Really need the stories for Stirling's friends.
First is the story of Stirling and Mikey and it's full of feels. Mikey is a boy who know what he wants but that doesn't stop him from being vulnerable, especially when his initial encounters with Stirling result in false starts and rejection. Really loved Stirling as an insecure first time daddy who isn't good with word. Thought that was a great dynamic and refreshingly different to how a lot of Daddy-kink books play out.
I'm a big fan of Daddy-kink romance and it's great that we've seen so many in the MM-rom world lately. A lot of them have been great but sadly there have been some that really aren't.
First was definitely one of the good ones. Can't wait to see what Casey gives us next.

This was an alright story, not bad but not really all that good either. It took a very long time for me to get past the first couple chapters and keep with it. I grabbed this up because I have been on Daddy/Boy kick lately but the dynamics in this books just didn't hit home for me. I will probably read another in the series to see if it's just a first book in a series issue but I'm not going to jump at it either.

I received a free copy to read and review for Wicked Reads.

I wouldn't call this book a Daddy/boy book, it's more age gap than anything. The characters had chemistry but they were awkward with each other and things weren't as steamy as I'd hoped. It was a good introduction to the series, it was a fast read, sweet with low angst.

If you don’t enjoy books that are about some light kink, then this is not the story for you. It doesn’t delve too deeply into it, but if this might interest you then this is a good one to start with. This is a sweet book about a confused first time Daddy and his new boy. Poor Stirling doesn’t know what hit him when he meets Mikey. Mikey is a much younger man who is most certainly into older men, he just has had trouble trusting the wrong ones in the past. Stirling doesn’t really know what he wants but it doesn’t take him too long to figure it out! I loved these characters. Stirlings three close friends are interesting as well as Mikey’s boss. I would like more background on these guys, but we might get more as the series progresses. This is a light and quick read, which is what I am sometimes in the mood for. If this sounds good to you then I would definitely recommend you read this one!
