The future is intact, but for how long? After almost a year since the devastating showdown at the macabre retreat, life has returned to normal for Jack and his friends, the Tiders. But when an aggressive detective pays Wimaxca CEO Maxine Carrington a visit, she is hit with troubling news that requires investigation. The Tiders are once again drawn into a cat and mouse game to discover: Where are the missing Scientists, including one of their own? Can the Tiders open old wounds, examining the past and the future, to protect themselves and rewrite their history?
Once again, Gee Scales creates an exciting book with well-written characters and a plot that moves at a steady pace. This time around, the Tiders are in more trouble than before, with one of their own in dire straits. The pace of this novel is even tighter than the previous one and you can see the maturity in Gee's writing as the story progresses.
There are new characters introduced, as well as the welcome return of all our favourites. The plot twists come thick and fast; the overall effect is a tightly-plotted novel with draws you in and holds you in its thrall for the duration of the book. An excellent read. Highly recommended
