A mysterious group of phantom thieves skulks in the shadows of Tokyo, changing the hearts of corrupt adults. But behind their masks are--normal teenagers and a talking black cat?! PERSONA 5: MEMENTOS MISSION is an all-new mystery featuring the cast of PERSONA 5.
IN THIS VOLUME: Phantom thieves Makoto and Haru infiltrate a maid café, while strange space aliens appear in Akihabara! With so much going on, the time Ren has for sleep keeps getting shorter and shorter... Will the phantom thieves be able to find their targets in Mementos, and change their hearts?!
With Mementos Mission, I already knew there were only three volumes currently out, but I now know there won't be any more. On one hand, that's sad, because I've been enjoying the series. On the other, I understand that few things are permanent. Plus, it's good to know when you're reading the final book in a series.
Anyway, I liked this volume, but not as much as the first. The first was a great introduction to a fresh story in the Persona 5 world. The second feels like an extension of the exposition; it only slightly furthers the story, and mostly expands the list of tasks that must be completed in the final volume.
The characters are still great, and there's still charm and intrigue. This was a good volume, and I don't doubt that the final volume will be awesome.
Things are really heating up, there is so much going on with the different stories all taking place! But yet it's really well told and not over the top which is great.
More looks into the daily life of the Persona 5 protagonist. I particularly enjoyed how involved the rest of the team is in looking into targets in contrast to the game, where the protagonist does most, if not all, of the legwork with securing information on potential requests. The character interactions were also a ton of fun to see.
The spotlight on Iwai and Kaoru from Iwai's Confidant line was also a welcome sight, especially with the depth that the manga added to it.
Ooo shit, things are boiling up! Once again amazing art by Rokuro Saito! And the little character interactions have me cheesing and kicking my feet. Also found myself simping for Yusuke in this?? He's amazing always but the way he's drawn in this is just hitting different unnf.
Basically more slice of life plus mystery of Persona 5 that has a pretty good 3 volumes. I feel it was good through out, then finished extremely quickly in the 3rd Volume.
I love this spinoff fr. it brings to life just how insanely busy we make joker when playing the game. I also just can’t get over how much I love the art style like they’re all so incredibly cunty
