They say hard times and trouble don’t last always, but for Mason, Nola, and the crew, that seems like utter bs, especially since fiasco and fiasco continue to strike. At the end of book one, lives seem to be blown to smithereens, landing the crew in various positions and places. Book two falls right in line, setting off more detonators, shattering hearts and lives in unfamiliar ways. Mason finds himself in an unprecedented position, risking his life until the madness cools down. Unfortunately, fate has a different idea, causing more problems to pile up. But when Mason makes what he considers an unselfish decision, he finds out how playing with someone’s feelings have consequences. Nola’s heart seems to take hits after hits, unsure of how to proceed after her world collapses around her. Determined to push forward for the sake of herself and her child, she finds herself in a very familiar position with a very familiar person. However, Nola soon learns that familiar isn’t always best. Moving forward seems like a good idea, but what happens when it turns into her worst nightmare? In this mind-blowing and jaw-dropping book two, no stones are left uncovered and no questions are left unanswered. Hearts will ache. Hairs are raised. Edges are pushed back. Nerves are sitting on 10. But love always wins. One click and see how lives are torn a part and put back together in this action-packed, drama-filled, highly intense, fiery African American urban love finale, From Bae to Wifey 2.
Goodness gracious this book had me so stressed out. I was trying to figure out how the author was going to work it out for an HEA. I tip my hat to her, somehow she did it. And in a way where it was believable. Mason was everything and I’m glad Nola got her life together! 5 star read!
Man Terrance was bat crazy and it showed! He was smart enough to to set all of that up but not smart enough to make sure Ava didn’t scratch him! I’m so glad she did and scoot got the info that they needed! Mason really thought about all that he did and he wanted his family back and I’m glad he got his family back and expecting a new one! Man Charlie was crazy for going on the run after she shot Darrius and they never found her! I’m just glad he got the family that he deserved! I’m also glad he pays attention to things because if it wasn’t for him yelling to black he seen Terrance they wouldn’t of known! Zo and London getting back together was great as well! London was really going thru but the year that xo gave her to get rite and she did I’m was happy about that! Black is still black but loves himself some milia lol! Melvin getting what’s his and he ain’t letting her go! Great ending
I love the fact that Mason family took to Nola because she didn't have any family. They really had her back when Mason fighting for his freedom. I understand Nola was in her feelings after Mason told her to move on but he was thinking about the position he had put himself and her in and didn't want to hinder her and his daughter but Nola knew damn well she shouldn't have back tracked to Terrance. Terrance had shown her when they were friends with benefits that he was a little crazy. Terrance obsession with Nola was sickening. She had no clue the lengths he was going through to make sure she remained in his life until it was too late. London drinking had got out of hand. I thought the first incident would have taught her a lesson but what she did and it involved Liza. Had Zo pissed.
Even though this series was about Mason and Nola it gave drama with Mila and Black, London and Zo, and Jaz and Flex too. I enjoyed this series and I hope this isn't the end. Momma gotta have a life too and I'm glad that Ms. Melissa and Uncle Melvin fell in love. Terrance was coo coo for coco puffs and he needed more help than what he was getting especially since he was tracking Mason's movements, snitching, and kidnapping and chaining Nola to a wall. Ava knew that wasn't Mason's baby and she would be still alive if she wasn't acting so scorn and shady. What happened to Benny's character because he wasn't mentioned in neither book? I hope the next book is about Millie and Des so we can find out what Nola, Jaz, Mila, and London had since they're all pregnant at the same time.
Lola Lola I kind of understood what Mason explained to Lola since he did not know the outcome of his situation, and I realized she was hurt, but to go that far with that individual had me SMH because that same individual was so immature and was not for her, but she went back with feeling a similarity with him! Only person I felt sorry for was Maci in that situation. I really had no empathy for Lola and her plight!
Zo handled London accordingly because she put her daughter and herself in danger! London still not likable and I’m four books in. Her mother babies her and she’s spoilt.
The way how this book unfolds it took close to the ending for HEAs. Happy the couples finally found some peace!
Now I’m sure this is not the end it Charlie LOL 😂.
This crew definitely know how to keep you on the edge and guessing. Mason tries to do the right thing but it ends up biting him in the butt. Nola tries to stay strong but falls back into old habits. However, this time, old habits have devastating consequences. But Mason is there for his family and steps up majorly. My heart broke for Darrius but I'm glad that things work out for him. London's spoiled self got a lesson in how the world doesn't evolve around her and had to work to gain her family back. This story is filled with twists, drama, laughs, and tears. I enjoyed reading this finale, a great series.
Lakia, good work. Boy, the trials and tribulations Mason and Nola went through. I knew Terrance has issues, he really thought he was gonna get away. Karma has a way of getting back at the person trying to do wrong. Ava 's raggedy behind should've gotten beat up. Ms. Mellisa and Melvin shocked me but it was a good fit. I liked how you showed Terrance mental issues although, he didn't do the right thing. It's men that act just like that. Black has issues also. I love him though. So was such a good man, I loved how he handled London. Great job.
This 2 part series was definitely worth the the read!!! I loved Nola! She was determined to push through and make things happen for herself! She did what she had to do to make it due to the curve balls that life threw her way! Now Terrence is a whole another story! He did the most! Actually he did way too much!! Like bruhhhh what is wrong with you!! Mason had me feeling some type of way for a minute but I understood his stand point on things! But in the end he came thru! If you are considering this book as a read u should definitely get it!!!
I was up and down wit my emotions! I thought for sure terrance was on the up and up...dat sucka fooled me big time!! London got just what she deserved...im glad Mila and Black were able to get their family complete...mason o mason!!! dats my guy, i just hate it took so much pain heartache to get to his happy place...nola finally getting her happy ending made my day! What a ride, but the result was worth it!!
Loved this series, can’t hold a real one down and Mason definitely came out of the hole they thought they dug for him. Glad all the drama didn’t break up a happy home for Zo and London. After everything she went through London got her act together. Sad that Nola had to endure so much with Terrance. Who knew he was bat sh*t crazy. Set mason up to go to jail and tried to do it again after killing Ava. This book was sooo good
Picked up right where the last installment left off with drama and more drama. Still was enjoyable from beginning to end and I loved the way everything turned out. I knew it was something about Terrance from the beginning and his whole attitude. Really great catching up with . Mason and Nola endured so much throughout their relationship, but their love never changed, so glad they got their happy ending. Highly recommend this series.Great job Lakia.
I'm so glad everything turned out perfect for Nola and Mason. Terrance was a real life psychopath. He wasn't stopping at nothing to have Nola all to himself and get Mason out the picture. I see Officer Jones got some act right real quick. I'm glad Zo and London got back on the right track although it hurt my heart for Zo to do her like that, it needed to be done. This was an excellent series and I can't wait to see what else Lakia has in store.💕💕
This book was so good and suspenseful that I sacrificed sleep when I found out part 2 was out. Let me just say I got a bad vibe from Terrance and I felt like she moved on with him too fast but we know how that goes. However I wish she wouldn’t have given up on Mason so soon. Nola didn’t understand how it is when a man is facing serious time. But I loved how everything came together and blended. Great read all around
I’m so glad this book is over. I love this author, but Nola got on my last nerve. She was so wishy washy. I thought it was ironic that she blamed his past on their problems, but it was actually HER past that caused the biggest problems. I’m not giving the 3 stars bc of the characters, but bc of the general chaos of the story. Lots of time lapsed that didn’t make sense.
I just knew Terrence was nuts!! Although Nola got her happy ending I wish she would’ve taken her time and not rushed in a relationship with Terrence knowing you did him wrong a couple of times. London got on my nerves too with the way she was handling her and zo situation. So happy for darrius that poor kid need black and mila. Charlie should’ve got dealt with 🙄 she was wrong on so many levels. Great read girl
Man Nola got on my nerves at times but I grew to love her. Mason was sweet but he was dumb to do what he did to Nola. I like how cheating wasn't a issue in this series. Mason must have had that killer D lol. Lo I'm glad she got it together. She had me worried for a minute. Who knew that about Terrance. Overall really good series.
Whew Terrance was crazy I'm glad he got what he deserved. I really had thought he had changed but didnt. I'm glad Zo forgave London I know she was very sorry bout what happened. I loved how how all the guys looked out for each other. I am glad Mila still interact with the family even though she wasn't with Mason.I'm glad Mason got his family back.
I was so excited to see the gang back together from a different perspective. Part one and part 2 did lot let me down. I knew Terrance was a clown from the beginning And glad he got what he deserved. I didn’t wish that on Ava but that’s what she get. Great read from beginning to end. You never disappoint
Terrance and Ava where just straight trouble but wish we knew the back story about Terrance...what made him diabolical? Love Mason and his family as the never gave up on Nolan and Maci..they were the true meaning of family...thankful London got herself together and got her family back! Good series...
This book took me on one heck of a ride. This vook.had so.much going on. London started drinking almost killed her and her daughter thwn mason had hoes coming out of left field then the just took the cake terrence turned out to be a deranged and kidnapped her and killed ava. Boy never saw that coming. I can't wait until your next book
It was nice to read a book that i literally played like a movie in my mind. The location this story took place in is my back yard (Tampa) being from St.Pete I've spent alot of time there. The twist and turns in this book with definitely keep u intrigued. I truly enjoyed this book
I love the concept of how love conquers all. This author writing style is easy to follow. This series is a definite must read. The familiar support was top notch even though they dragged one another. Lol!! If you enjoy romance with drama and a hood feel then this is one good read for you.
Lakia girl! My anxiety levels still haven’t gone back down. I thought book 1 had me going through it, but the second book took the cake. I just wanted Mason and Nola together. I just wanted Zo and London together. I just wanted everyone to be in love. I got my wish… and more. This was definitely worth the read.
I have to say this was a well written storyline and I loved it from the beginning until the end. Absolutely enjoyed this storyline. Job well done Lakia you are definitely in my top 20 favorite authors of 2020.....
I ❤️❤️❤️ this book. It was great catching up with the gang. Mason & Nola really went through some changes. Between crazy exes, murder charges, kidnappings this book kept you on edge. I must say Ms. Lakia did not disappoint.
Oh yes now that’s how you end this. I always felt that Terrance was the one to set mason up. Didn’t realize he was crazy enough to kill Ava. Good job on the story! Glad that everyone was able to get a happy ending.
This was a great read from book 1 to book 2. I’m glad everyone got their happy ending after all of the family drama they had. Definitely worth the read and can’t wait to read more from this author.
Nola was really missing the signs with Terrence. Ava was dumb. Mason was going crazy without his family. Glad Darius was paying attention. They need another book so we can find out what the sexes of the Babies and hopefully Millie and Des is finally back home 🏡
Cute! The romance was beautiful. The family was what every family should be like. I enjoyed all of the ups and downs that the family endured that showed that they were in it together. Nola found true happiness, friends, family, and a future like no other.
I enjoyed these couples and the stories about them. I didn’t want to see them leave, but I know Lakia has something else in the works. Everyone who stood in the way of Mason and Nola’s happiness were dealt with. The men were able to retire and enjoy their women.
