I’m always skeptical about reading business books from white male perspectives, however, I really appreciated Erik’s POV. This was one of the more honest reviews and perspectives on entrepreneurship and I really valued how candid he was with his own personal journey. I do wish he gave more context to his exact businesses, however, he gave enough to drive home his points. I appreciated his emphasis on the toll entrepreneurship can take on your mental health and friendships. It felt very honest and real. There were some things I had to take with a grain of salt, but overall, I found myself absorbed in his writings and jotting down ideas for my future. I also really liked the fact that he included journal prompts at the end of each chapter to help the readers practice what he preached.
