I regret that I have but five stars to give to this book. This is my second Hilton Carter book, and I’m madly in love. Mr. Carter’s books are big, beautiful, and gorgeously printed. His enthusiasm for plants is contagious. His instructions and advice are easy to follow (and tend to stick in my mind, so that I can follow them without repeatedly looking them up). Superb.
Wild Creations contains projects to help you style your home beautifully with plants as centerpieces. I was particularly intrigued by the paint-by-numbers jungle scene that you can paint on your own walls. I probably will never accomplish that project, but I’m very excited to get to work on some of the smaller scale projects. 😏
From painting room sized murals to creating a wall full of baby plants in jars of water, Wild Creations continues in happy chat of all potted growing greenery. There are many creative photos highlighting an indoor jungle of a great variety of plants. Overall, this book feels like a fun visit with your buddy as he shares the joy of keeping plants.
This book makes me smile! Packed full of fun projects for plant lovers and helpful tips, Hilton Carter has done it again by giving us a third book on plants! LOVE the "Jungle by numbers" not sure where I can paint it but it's such a fabulous idea! Thanks Hilton!
The projects in this book are amazing! I think I'm going to start with the concrete planter. All the plant tips are great for a plant lover looking to help their plants thrive.
I love Hilton Carter. I've watched numerous videos of his when I was semi new to plant care. I liked the projects in the book, and his different plant pairings. His plant space is an inspiration.
I got this on sale at target — I was drawn to the front of it. I love palm tree + tropical foliage decor. I also just love decorating with living plants. So the authors eye for what he uses in a room was great.
I’m growing a ruby ficus and he uses a lot of those in the pictures. This book makes for an excellent coffee table/decor book as well. Lots of dreamy photography as well. The one downside is a lot of the plants used are listened as to variety and sometimes can be hard to find just the right one at a green house without a name.
