Lindsey Love’s career as a food critic is suddenly taking off when she’s approached by Food and Travel to take her show to Europe. What could be more fun than to travel with her best friend Patrick, eat amazing food, and see the sights? What she doesn’t bargain for is the surly, egotistical producer with the icy glare, dimples, and a penchant for questioning her every move.
Nick Elliot, ex-Navy SEAL turned producer, finds himself suddenly thrown into a project he doesn’t want to take on. Producing a snotty food critic’s show over in Europe is not at the top of his agenda. She’s stubborn, sassy, and he finds himself inextricably drawn to her.
When things go awry abroad, Nick has to make the decision to save his own future or give up everything to protect Lindsey.
This is such a fun, enemies-to-lovers romance that was done right! The main characters had the perfect chemistry and even in their 'enemy' phase in the beginning, their behaviour to each other wasn't taken too far which can be my problem with this trope. They had a playful banter that worked well for them.
This book had it all and in perfect combination. It had romance, angst, humour, and nearing the final quarter especially---suspense and mystery. Due to all of those factors, it was easy to fall into this story and hard to put the book down.
I highly recommend this if you are looking for a humorous and charming (yet angsty) romance. It was such a fun read and I can't wait to read the next installment in the series.
***Thank you to the author Sophie Sinclair for sending me an e-ARC in exchange for an honest review***
Well guys, we're leaving the Coffee Book world behind with this new start to the LLL series, Lindsey Love Loves. I hope you enjoy quirky, pushy, obstinate Lindsey Love and the quiet stoic Mr. Blue eyes, Nick Elliot as much as I enjoyed writing them. If you get a chance, please read the Author’s note at the end. xoxo Sophie
Sophie Sinclair has become one of my go-to authors this year, and I have loved all her books, but Lindsey Love Loves is my favourite yet! It was slightly different to her previous work, there was still the steam, the banter and the romance but there was an element of suspense and twists that had me hooked and sent it straight onto my favourite books of 2020 list!
Lindsey Love has had her own online food video blog for years, Lindsey Love Loves with her best friend Patrick as her cameraman and has now been signed by the Food Network for a new travel/food critic show around Europe. But there’s a downside to this amazing opportunity, Nick the director and producer of the show. As an ex-SEAL, he is pretty surly and rude to Lindsey when they first meet, but there’s a major attraction between them. The more time they spend together, the more they wind each other up and push each other’s buttons, proving time and time again that they may not be the most compatible colleagues. As the trip progresses, tensions rise, and as they travel from city to city, they can’t help but open up and finally get together. But Nick is hiding something, something which could affect everything Lindsey has built. When Lindsey finds out his secrets, it throws everything she’s known about him into doubt and she’s left wondering if she ever knew him at all. As the trip comes to an end, who will Lindsey be able to trust?
These two as a couple, their banter and bickering at times had me laughing out loud. Add Patrick in for the journey and it made the whole thing hilarious, Sophie can write humour perfectly. But she can also write tension and chemistry, which was coming off the pages, and also heart-breaking moments which made my heart ache with emotion for the characters. What can’t she do?
Nick was such an alpha, he was protective of Lindsey from the start, having been drawn to her from their first meeting. Although they have a rough start, with their time at the cabin and then the first couple of stops on the tour around Europe, it’s clear that he’s keeping her out because he knows if he lets her in, that’s it. He was charming, sweet but also incredibly stubborn, as was Lindsey, and I think that’s why they butted heads so much because they both never wanted to compromise. Lindsey was different to what I was expecting, she wasn’t this put together sophisticated woman, she was a woman who loved her job and working with her best friend, desperate to travel, but also gets incredibly nervous. Her ramblings were a highlight for me, the verbal vomit coming out of her mouth had me giggling constantly, especially in awkward situations. She was so sweet, I loved her passion for food and her friendship with Patrick, I need more from him soon.
LLL is a change of style for Sophie, away from the contemporary romance of the Coffee Girl series, but in the best way. I adored the steamy romance side of the story, but the suspense plot line, the descriptions of the food they ate and the cities they visited, the friendships formed and the references to small things throughout, like Harry Potter and 25c (all which will make sense if you’ve read this book) added another level to the whole reading experience. Small things like that which keep you hooked to other parts of the story other than the romance between the hero and heroine make for the best kind of romance read, because you feel transported into the book itself, and Sophie had the perfect balance of all these things.
Lindsey Love Loves is my favourite from Sophie yet and I cannot wait for more from these characters. This is a must-read of 2020!!
*I received a copy of this book in exchange for my honest review.*
I really love the way that Sophie Sinclair tells a story! I love each book she’s written, and while I am sad to of moved from The Coffee Girl series I was excited to meet new characters and explore more of what SS has to offer as an author
I was such a fan of the Coffee Girl series, and fully expected to enjoy this new novel by Sophie Sinclair. Unfortunately, it just didn’t land for me in any way. Lindsey was annoyingly inept at her job and overlooked glaring red flags, while Nick was cruel for no reason. I enjoy an enemies to lovers story, but for me there was no satisfying growth in their relationship. Certainly not enough to make me believe they could ever love one another and have a HEA. I really seem to be the outlier here though, and I know all books aren’t for every reader. I’m just surprised because I really expected to enjoy this one.
First of all, I don’t love the trope where the guy acts like a total ass just because he doesn’t want to fall in love with someone. Nick says, “Be coldhearted if you have to…make her despise you. It will make things easier in the long run.” And “The only reason I’m acting like a prick is so that Lindsey and I can stay on even ground.” Nick repeatedly chooses to be dismissive and cruel to Lindsey in a bid to not fall in love with her. Despite this, Lindsey is attracted to him?
Meanwhile, Lindsey’s sister and best friend are gaslighting her and telling her she just needs to have sex with Nick to get over this crazy tension they have. Patrick tells her, “Just give the poor guy a chance.” Her sister says, “Look, Lindsey, I’m sure he’s not as bad as you’re making him sound.” At this point, for real, the only interactions Lindsey has had with him (35% of the way in) are Nick ignoring her, yelling at her, talking down to her, dismissing her, and being a general ass to her. (And also being ok with her sleeping outside alone on a dirty picnic table or in the cold on the ground?) I guess I just like my alphas to be protective even when they’re trying not to fall for the girl. Nick treats Lindsey as subhuman.
Until now, Nick didn’t have much to complain about re: Lindsey and his attitude is baffling, but now they’re in Europe and Lindsey has turned annoying and unprofessional. Can I just ask….why is Lindsey so bad at her job? She just signed a career-changing contract with a huge network, and didn’t do research on a single restaurant to review. She also decides to spend her first night on tour by getting drunk and dancing on a bar. And what kind of food critic isn’t willing to try exotic food choices for a travel food show? It’s actually *literally* her job to try different cuisines from all over the world. Some of the foods were more out there than others, like kangaroo and boa, but she also freaks out over turtle soup, frog legs, and even foie gras? Furthermore, she doesn’t even know what foie gras is?? How? Who hired her for this job? Shouldn’t a food critic have a basic understanding of gastronomy? I didn’t find Lindsey charming in the least, and found it preposterous that her show was well received and eventually nominated for an Emmy! An Emmy!
52% in: Nick has continued his bid to be a straight up ass to Lindsey. Oh great, now Lindsey has stormed out of the kitchen in a huff during filming because Nick marginally pushed her buttons. (Again, who hired this woman to be a professional and act on camera?) Nick follows her out...will he apologize or continue to be a prick? Ohhhhh even though he just went Jekyll and Hyde on her he’s gonna surprise kiss her to make it better. 🙄🙄🙄🙄🙄 And Lindsey is receptive!
57%: Fat shaming! Fun! Why is Lindsey so judgemental about strangers and what they choose to wear? Charmingly, out of nowhere, Lindsey shares “Can I just say, unless you’re a skinny man, please don’t wear skinny jeans. Especially the ones where the butt sags in the back.” Like who asked you Lindsey?? Why are you so unlikable Lindsey?
Blah blah blah - randomly insert that Nick is on a “spy job”. Blah blah blah, bomb, blah blah blah, something about a senator? I know more about Lindsey’s interfering neighbor than I do about Nick’s covert op, even though I will soon discover that the spy subplot is the MAIN source of tension and climax in the third act here.
Ok, after the bomb the show is cancelled and Lindsey is back in the states. Lindsey is pining over Nick, but Nick has gone silent and ignored her for almost 6 months. Shockingly, Lindsey has ZERO lingering issues from the terrorist bomb. No injuries, doctors visits, sleepless nights, no bad dreams. No PTSD. Just all the pining over Nick. This is baffling, because to sum up her interactions with Nick at this point 1) he has treated her like garbage from the time of meeting her until, 2) he was nice to her for one day while they hookup for about 24 hours 3) then they all survive a terrorist bomb where I guess we are to believe Nick was the hero? Although the author doesn’t tell us anything about it, 4) then Nick disappears without saying goodbye and has zero contact with her for almost 6 months. And Lindsey is obsessed with him. How?
Nick finally comes around to check on Lindsey. Almost 6 months later. But, oh cool, the cooky neighbor waylays Nick and tells him that Lindsey is sleeping around. Nick chooses to believe this so he continues to fuck off and ignore her. Finally, when they’ll see each other again for the FIRST TIME SINCE THE TERRORIST BOMB THAT NO ONE SEEMS BOTHERED BY, Nick brings a date to flaunt in Lindsey’s face. Nick will spend the night gaslighting Lindsey by trying to convince her he has done nothing wrong.
Nick, why do you suck so hard?
While we’re on the subject of sucking, Patrick why do you also suck so hard? Patrick is the most underdeveloped best friend I’ve ever read in a novel. He doesn’t say one word of support to Lindsey at any point. He leaves her to hook up with girls when he says he’s got her back. He shows no outrage at Nick completely ignoring Lindsey for half a year. This is a *best* friend?
Ok we are 77% of the way through. Surely I can push through to the end. 😭😭😭 I don’t believe these two people could ever find happiness with one another.
Oh gosh, now the network is sending Lindsey to Africa because her show was so successful *snort laugh*. Imagine for a minute that Lindsey has gagged over foie gras and frog legs, but we are going to send her to Africa to try more foreign foods? Making fun of local cuisines is at best rude and at worst thinly veiled racism. Like I know it’s just food, but why is this woman fucking off to countries just to shit on their culture and gag over their cuisine?
82%: Ok here we go. There is a big clunky reveal about Nick using a food show (🙄🙄🙄🙄) as cover for his covert operations. Nick is spilling his guts as though there had been any tension built around his military back story or current covert work. Unfortunately, I could not care less. OMG make this end. Also Nick is done fighting his attraction to Lindsey and I guess they’re in love now?
*******I stopped reading this weeks ago, but I’m at 87% and trying so hard to push through. Bear with me as we make it through the thrilling conclusion.********
Annnnnnnd Lindsey has been kidnapped. So stupid.
I wish I could accurately convey how clunky this covert spy subplot is. Sinclair has really done so little to build up this tension. I get testy when authors just drop narrative exposition into thin air. When Nick discovers the location of Lindsey’s kidnappers and sets off to rescue her, and it’s revealed that Simon is a bad guy, he thinks to himself, “But what Simon doesn’t know, is that I know the truth. I know that he’s been secretly dealing with the Russians, selling the Syndicate’s secrets. He’s a traitor, and this whole plot to kidnap Lindsey was his idea. But I can’t let him know that I’m on to him, or else he’ll kill all of us.” Like please Sinclair, I beg you - show, don’t tell. HOW did Nick discover this information? There is no explanation about how Nick discovered this treachery. No sense of his history with this organization, no description of events that led up to this climax. I don’t care or know enough about Simon to feel scared of him now, and there is certainly no sense of betrayal.
So Nick rescues Lindsey in a super convoluted rescue mission. He brings Patrick along because….reasons? Oh, ok, so Patrick can distract the kidnappers with Harry Potter trivia. Being a Potter nerd is not a personality!
93%: Oh here we go. Pages and pages and pages of spy backstory. Any of this information could have proven useful in building a lick of tension for this spy plot, but Sinclair did such a poor job of explaining any of this before that it’s taking an extremely long time to explain what the fuck has been happening.
Ok here’s the end. I guess Nick and Lindsey are in love. They’re in Africa. There’s a super cliche surprise pregnancy and a proposal to end this nightmare. Does this ending seem abrupt and boring? Don’t worry, it is!
To sum up. Lindsey is annoying and inept. Nick is an overbearing douche. There is a spy subplot, but it’s so convoluted you could skip to the end and not miss much.

Sophie Sinclair has done it again! I was hesitant to start the LLL series after absolutely loving the Coffee Girl series, but I’m so glad I did! Thank you Sophie for an early copy of this!
Lindsey was such a lovable character & her personality was always so happy, even when grumpy Nick Elliot pushed all her buttons. Believe me when I say, if he found a button to push, he pushed it 😂
The banter between Nick and Lindsey had me cracking up throughout the whole book. They were constantly jabbing each other, allowing for some strong sexual frustration.
And that plot twist 😳 I definitely didn’t see that coming.
While Lindsey Love Loves is a little different from the beloved Coffee Girl series, you won’t want to pass this up. Sophie’s signature lovable writing is present, and I can promise you’ll fall in love with Lindsey, Nick & the secondary characters.
In Lindsey Love Loves by Sophie Sinclair, Lindsey finds herself with the opportunity to travel to Europe to film a show for Food and Travel after her popularity skyrockets. Even better, she gets to take her best friend, Patrick, along with her to film. Unfortunately, her surly (but hot) producer, Nick Elliot, has to go along as well. To say they butt heads at first is an understatement! And of course, hilarity (and maybe love) ensues. This book was delicious! (See what I did there?) 😂 Sophie writes a best friend relationship like no one else! Lindsey and Patrick played perfectly off each other. Her signature humor, that I grew to love in her Coffee Book series, is alive and well in this book! I found myself laughing at Lindsey's internal dialogue as well as some of the situations she found herself in. Nick is the perfect blend of conceited hard-ass and gentleman with more than a hint of mystery! Did I mention he's an ex-Navy Seal? His chemistry with Lindsey was clear from their first meeting and only got better the longer they worked together. Their banter was excellent, especially since they agreed on almost nothing! Nick’s sisters were an amazing and hysterical addition to the story! I love me some embarrassing siblings, as long as they’re not mine! But…don't go into this one thinking it's just a fun rom-com. There's more to this one than you might think at first. There's definitely a certain level of intrigue surrounding Nick, Lindsey, and their story. I really enjoyed the different feel of this book! Side note: I LOVE books that come with a playlist! Be sure to check out Sophie’s to listen while you read! Lindsey Love Loves will be available on November 4th! Don't miss out on this one! Add it to your TBR now!
Thank you to Sophie Sinclair for an ARC of this book in exchange for my honest opinion.
A little suspense, a lot rom com. If that’s what you are looking for, this book is for you! Lindsey is funny and quirky and Nick is funny and a bit of a jerk (mostly because he’s trying to keep up his defenses). This book was funny and warm and the characters all likable. I love knowing there will be more books! Go get this one to read as soon as you can.
Lindsey Love Loves is another winner from Sophia Sinclair, the queen of contemporary romance!
What better way to say goodbye to the Coffee Girls series than by blessing us with a new feel good romantic comedy? Sophie Sinclair has a signature style of writing that is fun, easy to read and extremely hilarious!! Lindsey is a sassy food blogger waiting to land the television series of a lifetime with a big network. Nick was a mystery to me and still kinda is with his mysterious NAVY seals past and sudden departure from that into film making. Together they are forced to work together by the network to produce Lindsey's first series. I mean what could go wrong between a hyperactive food blogger and her producer who refuses to acknowledge his feelings for her?
I'm normally not a fan of insta-love but LLL managed to give me insta-attraction and I am totally down for it. I loved the sizzle of first attraction with Nick and Lindsey and its progression throughout the book was dynamite. This was a slow burn done right with all the looks of longing and accidental hand touching.
I enjoyed that LLL wasn't just a typical romance but had a complex backstory that was quite an action packed adventure. There was a thin veil of mystery surrounding their activities that served to heighten the suspense and add a nice layer of complexity to the story.
My absolute favorite part of the book definitely has to be all the FOOD!!!!! You can tell Sophie did her research from the variety and complexity of the food offerings to the fun and exciting locations.
Another aspect that was unexpected but highly entertaining is old lady Bixsby. If you are reading this review, do not be fooled by her moniker, she is a mean ole bat out to suck the fun and joy out of everything with her talks of harlots and her anti Amazon ways.
Lindsey Love Loves is a great read for those who enjoy rival romances between sassy females and headstrong male.
Lindsey Love Loves by Sophie Sinclair is a contemporary romance between a double agent / producer and a food - travel Critic / blogger. The food blog part is what attracted me to this book. I liked how the story progresses and how we also get to see a tint of mystery and detective investigation involved in the story.
This book is a perfect blend of romance, humor, angst and a tint of friendship with mystery. The book just flew by while reading.
I am all in for an enemies-to-lovers romance and this was done right. We see right amount of angst between the two characters in the start along with smooth chemistry building and then sizzling chemistry at the end. We also get to see the friendship aspects between Lindsey Love and Patrick very well done in this book. This was a book where I liked all the characters equally - Lindsey, Nick, Patrick. ______

What a fun and hilarious read! This book came at the perfect time for me. I had gone through a streak of dark & dramatic romances and needed something light and cute.
Lindsey Love is an influencer who made a name writing and posting food reviews. Now that she’s a viral sensation, she’s given the opportunity to host her very own network TV show. She’s assigned a super moody producer, Nick, who ping pongs between feelings of annoyance and intrigue for Lindsey. Lindsey finds herself attracted and enamored by Nick but little does she know that he’s gotten them caught in the crosshairs of a very dangerous situation.
I found myself laughing so hard during parts of this book! Sophie knows how to write her side characters. She had me laughing so hard at TJ in the Coffee series and now she’s brought Mrs. Bixby into our lives.
While I did really really enjoy this, it fell a little short in certain parts of the plot development. It almost seemed like the story should’ve been broken up into more than 1 book to really explore and develop the story. Having it condensed into 1 book almost made certain parts of the book that I thought showed a lot of promise or were interesting feel rushed.
That being said, Sophie’s does a brilliant job and I definitely recommend this for readers that love a funny and cute rom com!
This book was such a pleasure to read. So many scenes between Nick and Lindsey that had me swooning!
The major plot twist threw me for a loop and is definitely different than this authors other books but I really liked it! I am a huge Alias fan so I kept thinking of that show when reading through Lindsey Love and Nicks story!
**I received this book as an ARC in return for my honest review**
This was a great read, even though it wasn’t was I was expecting! My expectations going in were that I was going to be reading a nice romance novel with Henry Cavill as the male lead, but it had so much more to it! Yes, Nick looks like him, always a bonus, and he and Lindsey have plenty of romantic moments, but there was a big mystery element to the story as well! This added a refreshing element to the book, and I kept sneaking in some pages every moment my work and my head allowed me! The plot is very fast-paced, hopping around europe quickly, but not so fast that I lost track of it.
My first time reading this author (I've heard wonderful things about the Coffee Girl series) and my first ARC review! I liked, but didn't love, this book.
The good: I always love an opposites attract/enemies to lovers storyline. Guaranteed fun. I enjoyed the hijinks at the cabin and could have read much more of that (such as on an international scale with traveling for the TV show). I felt like Lindsey and Nick's attraction and connection was believable and real, and Nick as a character was well developed and had clear motivations that drove his actions. Patrick was a fun supporting character and sweet friend, and Nick's sisters were amusing.
The not-so-good: I was surprised by the international spy angle, and could honestly have done without it. I wish the author had just leaned into the food/travel show harder. Lindsey seemed really immature to me (she's meant to be 30) and I was missing backstory and subtext to let me empathize with her. It's not clear what in her background made her who she is, and it doesn't even really matter to the main relationship and storyline in the book.
This was such a cute book. It had the perfect amount of hilarious moments mixed in with the suspense.
Lindsey is amazing. She is outgoing, stands up for herself, and knows when to laugh things off. Her confidence was my favorite thing about her.
Nick is mysterious from the beginning. He was hot and cold, but getting his POV allows you to fully understand why.
The banter these two had was off the charts. Their intense showdowns portrayed their chemistry well and had me rooting for them them the start.
This book also had some of the best secondary characters. Patrick was the perfect addition to round out this friend group, Mrs. Bixby was an overall hot mess, and his sisters were straight up comedians.
If you are looking for a funny, quick read, this book is for you.
Thanks so much to the author, Sophie Sinclair, for the complimentary advanced e-copy of this book in exchange for my honest thoughts and participation in this blog tour. TW : mild violence, explosions
You guys, this was SUCH a cute read! A whole lot of contemporary romance with just a sprinkling of suspense just sprinkled on top for flavor. I have Coffee Girl from this author, and I've been so excited to read it but somehow it keeps getting pushed down towards the end of my TBR (can anyone explain how that keeps happening without my knowledge? Very frustrating). I think reading Lindsey Love Loves gave me just enough of a taste of Sophie Sinclair that now I have to finally get around to Coffee Girl as well, while I wait around for the next LLL story!
Let's talk about the characters. Y'all know how much I love a character driven novel, and in that regard this one did not disappoint. There were a few really fun secondary and background characters that I would really love to invite to a party (I think that Nick's sisters and I would get along just fine), but I'm going to focus on Lindsey Love, our female lead. She was so sweet, and so much fun to read about! Along with character driven novels, and a good glass of wine at the end of the night, I also LOVE to eat. All food. And so I always enjoy foodie characters, like this super sassy food vlogger/TV personality. She is so feisty, and just slightly clumsy and embarrassing, so you know that I got plenty of that banter between she and Nick that I just eat up in a contemporary romance.
I found her to for the most part be really relatable (although now I'm sad I can't just travel the world and eat delicious food), and her inner dialogue was just really funny. I found myself laughing out loud multiple times and having to explain myself to my poor husband. Wow, what a good sport that guy is. Also named Nick. Maybe not a coincidence? Nah, it's probably a coincidence.
I will say some parts of the story, once the suspense starting dipping it's toe into the story, is pretty unbelievable and wild seeming. But who picks up this type of contemporary romance to feel like they are reading real life stories? Not me, so it didn't bug me too much. But I will say that the very first chapter is a preview chapter of events that happen later on in the story, and so that bit of the suspense comes at you right from the word go, which you might not be prepared for just from reading the description. But hey, it's all fun, and for the most part it doesn't take itself too seriously.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this book! As you can tell from the above paragraphs my word for this book is "fun." A fun, simple read, with fun, sassy characters - and honestly I ate it up as fast and easily as Lindsey gobbles up a piece of chocolate cake! I didn't want to put this one down, and I would definitely recommend it to my friends who are looking for a sassy and fast-paced contemporary. I think that the perfect way to read this book would be sitting outside on the deck with a glass of a deep, beautiful red wine, and a very large piece of that chocolate cake! Okay, so maybe this book just really made me want chocolate cake. But hey, I think Lovie would approve.
"I want to be your twenty five cent call" Ok Sophie I see you! Thank you Sophie Sinclair for gifting me with an Adanced Readers Copy to help you celebrate Lindsey Love Loves .
LLL follows Lindsey Love, a food critic whose getting her own show! Thats right, her and her best friend Patrick are hitting the road to travel Europe and try out all the foodie spots that they will be sharing with everyone internationally on her new TV show. Lindsey is so excited for her new adventure, even though her producer is a bit of a grumpy drag (well a hot drag). Nick Elliot, ex Navy Seal, is hiding secrets... but as Lindsey exposes little cracks in Nick's armor, the feelings he has for Lindsey may get them all killed. Listen friends... let me tell you a secret.... you say anything about a character looking like Henry Cavill, having a back like Henry Cavill, or even sneezes like Henry Cavill and that MC just got THAT MUCH HOTTER Thats right... one whole star for the hot Nick Elliot.
I enjoyed this book and found it a nice restart to my heavy thriller and fantasy month (thanks spooky October TBR) It was laugh out loud funny and sweet without being too hot and heavy. I can't wait to read Patrick's story next.
Read it you like: A sexy secret agent a sweet romance a silly southern bell a solid sidekick/best friend in crime a quick read romance to get you out of your slump Cheers to you Soph on a fun new series or as Honey would say I've got my chardy and I'm ready to party!"
Sophie Sinclair owes my husband a beef jerky bouquet and an apology. I woke him up three different times last night because I snort laughed so loud while the poor man tried to actually sleep at 2am. He's adulty like that.
This book was not at all what I expected and it was so damn good! Lindsey is my new favorite female lead. She is quirky and hard working and neurotic and prone to drama and I could not get enough of her. I want to be her best friend, but also know I would be rolling my eyes constantly at her. She's a food critic and I almost died laughing when she was asked to eat Turtle Soup on camera. I am the same sort of ridiculous food-hypocrite as she is and I love her for it! Burgers? Sure. Turtle Soup? What?! You monster! Who would eat a little turtle?!
Nick is so cranky and broody and perfectly serious that his interactions with Lindsey are laugh-out-loud-pee-your-pants awesome! These two have chemistry for dayyyyyys! One of my favorite couples ever.
This is more than just a food-centered story. There are amazing friendships, hilarious banter, and some serious intrigue. Sophie Sinclair opens this book with a scene filled with gunshots and bombs and then takes us back a few weeks to a sweetly "normal" rom com about a girl with a travel food show. Getting from point A to point B (or should I say point B to point A back to point B?) is fun and hilarious and steamy.
I seriously loved this book! Nick and Lindsey are EVERYTHING. I want to read about every day of their lives from now until they retire. That's how perfect they are.
“Meine schone. I’ll have to remember that and look it up later. He could have just called me sugar tits or my shit. It’s hard to tell with Nick these days.”
Ahh, Sophie Sinclair does it again! I LOVED the Coffee Book series, and I am so sad that those books are over, but I am so happy to have another SS book and meet some new characters!! I absolutely loved this one! You get comedy, romance, steamy scenes, great characters, but you also get some suspense thrown into the mix! I was not expecting the turn of events at all, and I thoroughly enjoyed how it all came together! I absolutely love Nick and Lindsey together.
“She makes me want to kiss the smirk right off her lips and bury myself so deep inside her that I can’t find my way back.”
Lindsey Love is beautiful, hilarious, sassy, and can’t seem to keep herself out of embarrassing situations. She’s also a food critic and is up for a TV show called Lindsey Love Loves and is going to travel around Europe trying different types of food at restaurants. Her Harry Potter loving best friend Patrick is along for the ride to film the show, but she doesn’t get along with her sexy, brooding producer, Nick Elliot.
“I love her quirky sense of humor, her goofiness, and the way she doesn’t let me get away with shit.”
Nick Elliot, former Navy SEAL, is now a producer and also works security for his crew. He gets asked to produce Lindsey Love Loves, and begrudgingly agrees to it. When he meets Lindsey, they don’t get off on the right foot, and he questions every move she makes. Once they get to Europe, and start filming the show, they eventually give into the feelings that are cooking between them, but that’s also when things start to get a little crazy and unexpected!
“And I’m pretty certain all my hate for Nick Elliot before was actually foreplay to kickstart my heart.”
I don’t know about you, but I’m craving some chocolate cake!!
ℝ𝕖𝕧𝕚𝕖𝕨 ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Lindsey Loves Love by Sophie Sinclair ☁️ Lindsey is a food critic and her platform has really taken off! She is approached by Food and Travel to take her show to Europe! Her and Her best friend/cameraman head to Europe. The only catch is the grumpy, icy, and completely gorgeous producer that accompanies them wherever they go! Nick Elliot is an ex-Navy SEAL who turned producer, and he got stuck on this awful assignment following this snotty food critic. The pair find themselves unexpectedly drawn to each other. ☁️ This book was so good people! There was mystery and intrigue and there was a perfect balance between sweet and steamy! Lindsey was so adorable and I loved all her embarrassing moments. I loved reading Nick's point of view so much, and for this story it was such a good choice to have it be a double point of view! I did find the ghosting pretty upsetting and I wouldn't have been as forgiving as Lindsey was, but their reunion and the rescue mission was wonderfully executed! There was this one scene were Lindsey goes back to Nick's family's cabin to see him, but all his family is there and they just bombard her with questions. That scene was so chaotically wonderful, my dreams of a big family made me swoon so much! ☁️ I want to Thank Netgalley for the free e-copy! All thoughts are honest and my own!

Lindsey Love Loves is a quasi spin-off of The Coffee Book series and I am here for it. If you love enemies to lovers with TONS of drama then you will love this book like I did. It wasn’t exactly what I was expecting in some regards and I think that is what made it even better. I was just completely invested and wanted to know all the details but Sophie just leaves you little crumbs of information until the end of the book. I literally had to stay up until 1am reading because there was no way I was putting this book down. I had to know what happens.
LLL is also so funny…Lindsey is a trip. OMG, that girl was just ridiculous and the verbal diarrhea she had when nervous had me laughing so many times. At first I wasn’t a huge fan of Nick because he was just surly and grouchy but by the end, he was perfect. I want him (can I have him Sophie?). They are steamy together but also playful & a really good match. I so enjoyed reading about them.
This book is the start of a new series and I can’t wait to see what Sophie brings us here. I honestly can’t even imagine what comes next in this series but I’ll be in line waiting to read whatever she writes.
Lindsey Love Loves is like getting a behind the scenes look of your favorite travel food blog and show and I was all for it!!
This book was completely unexpected. I expected the travel, the food, the laughs, a great group of characters, but I wasn’t expecting the suspense, twists and turns that were mixed in with this story. It will keep you on your toes the entire time.
I absolutely love Lindsey. Who wouldn’t love to travel and try all different types of food? Hello dream job! She is also hilarious, a little odd and just has a fun personality that makes you want to be her best friend. Nick is such a grump, but you can’t help but love him. The banter between Lindsey and Nick was hilarious and the chemistry was amazing. I seriously love the two of them!
I couldn’t get enough of this story. It is a great mix of laughs, food, travel, steam and suspense. A MUST READ and I can’t wait for more of this series.
I loved the Coffee Girl series so I had to read this one. And please read that series if you haven’t. I have to state that I didn’t know it was a slightly suspenseful romance when I started to read it. Even though there was a set up at the beginning. Somehow I overlooked that. So I was a bit surprised by that twist towards the end. Nick was Lindsey’s new producer and director for her food critic show. They had an interesting meet up to discuss the new show. Which set the tone at the beginning of their relationship. I loved that Lindsey and Nick were playful, sweet, and snarky together. The adorable nicknames were so cute. I also loved the side characters of Patrick and Nick’s sisters. They were hilarious! Especially the stories of Nick as a child. I’m so glad Patrick will get his own book. Overall, it was a cute and fast read. Anyone who enjoys a slightly suspenseful romance will love it.
Thank you to Netgalley for my copy in exchange for my honest review and opinion.
I absolutely adored Sophie’s first series, Coffee Girl, and was so sad to say goodbye to those characters. But - Sophie manages to yet again make me fall in love and crack up at a whole new group of fictional friends!!
Lindsey Love Loves has all the things I want in my romcoms: ✔️Humor ✔️Food ✔️Travel ✔️Steam ✔️Hot book BF And even some suspense!!
Enemies to lovers is my jam because that hate always turns into passionate love - Lindsey and Nick had that hate to love banter all figured out!! What I think Sophie is a real magician at is supporting characters! Patrick, grouchy Mrs. Bixby, and all the sisters were hilarious and I can’t wait for more of them in the rest of the series!!
Thank you Sophie for sending me your book in exchange for my honest review.
Lindsey Love loves ... trouble. She doesn't go out and find trouble but trouble is definitely looking for her.
Have you ever had an "I s**t you not" moment? The ones where there is little chance of it happening but yet it happens to you? This is Lindsey Love. If it can happen, it's happening to her and bless the people that are along for the ride.
This book is hilarious, cute, a bit mysterious, a bit suspenseful, and completely fun to read! It's witty humor kept me entertained and glued the whole way through.
That's not even mentioning the growing tension between Nick and Lindsey. These two had some of the best back and forth banter that I've read in a LONG time.
I found Lindsey Love relatable. Not necessarily her job but the thoughts and her reactions to the events that happen to her made me laugh because I would have the same reactions.
One of the best things I've noticed about Sophie Sinclair's stories is the way she writes her best friends characters in the story. In Coffee Girl, we had TJ and Kiki. In LLL, we have Lindsey and Patrick.
Like the way Lindsey describes dessert in this story, that's how Sophie Sinclair's stories are to me. No matter if the books I've read prior are bad, I know hers are going to be awesome.
This was the perfect ROMCOM!!! Enemy to lovers with a dash of mystery, drama and suspense and a side of humor, sexiness and craziness. This story was not a side dish but the main course!!
Once I started reading this book I couldn't put it down , this story is so good and every page was so entertaining. The main characters are Lindsey Love, who is a food critic and Nick Elliot, who is a producer/secret agent.
These two are complete opposite of each other and drive each other mad but their attraction is 100% real. When Lindsey gets offer a job to travel all over Europe for her food blog she accepts and the craziness begins. The banter between Lindsey and Elliot was the best and some of their experiences together made me laughed so hard. But besides all the funny moments there is also suspense and some mystery that keep me at the edge of my sit, I'm telling you this story is perfect and has it all.
When reading this book, I felt like I watching a behind the scenes reality show about a travel food blog 🤣 (but with some added suspense).
“I swear this man is intentionally trying to drive me crazy with either lust, embarrassment, or hate. I just haven’t figured out which yet.”
This book had so many unexpected twists and turns. It had ‘I am peeing my pants’ laughing moments, embarrassing ‘what the hell Lindsey’ moments, ‘oh helllooooo Nick’ moments, and some ‘oh em gee did that really happen’ moments.
