Something more than ghosts pursue a family through a desert war zone. A slaughterman says goodbye to his job, but a place of death opens many doorways to dark places. From a father with a dark past, a young woman’s inheritance gives her far more than she thinks. And a mother’s coffee shop daydream could unleash her worst nightmare.
These are just some of the dark imaginings that will infect your dreams and rip you from sleep with a cold sweat because you’ve got Night Terrors.
Dan is a horror author, who was born and raised in Nottinghamshire, England, growing up in a small cathedral town called Southwell. He moved to Glasgow, Scotland aged 19 and met his now wife, a Northern Irish girl. Hence, Dan now lives in Northern Ireland on the beautiful Antrim Coast, with his wife and two children, Cassie the cat and Jessie the dog. His author website with a bonus book is www.dansoule.com
Exceptionally well written, it was, however, not what I was expecting. More a collection of dark tales that left you pondering rather than a compendium of horror.
The only "bad" thing I'm going to say about this one is that there weren't enough short stories! I love the short story format and here's another awesome writer who will go straight to my "honorary shelf", which is just beside the master of short stories section (and any other format for that matter) mr Stephen King. Great variation on themes, pace, moods and characters. Put this little gem on your bedside table. And hope there will be more somewhere down the line.
