About the author

When the voices begin to speak, Jade Royal sits down in her lab to write the tale. The story unfolds with each keystroke as she listens to her instincts bring the words to life. For as long as she can remember, Jade has always expressed her creative nature artistically, especially by writing. She refers to herself as “Slave to the Pen” because it’s difficult for her to resist the call to write.

Jade resides in Cincinnati, Ohio where she was born and raised. She has many siblings and is very family oriented. She spends Sunday evenings eating dinner with them keeping the bond between family nice and strong.
Jade Royal is the author of the series Limits of Love. The series focuses on love, romance, and the eroticism of the two combined. The first book was released in December of 2016.

As an author, Jade hopes to pull in her readers to experience a community of stories that they can relate to on various levels. The emotional roller coaster that is bestowed will hopefully make her readers stalk her words and provide literate entertainment.

The Reaper collection by Jade Royal

Jade did a great job with this collection you get kickass heroine revenge plot. I really like Janet characters she was tough the revenge she plots up is something else. No spoilers here I freely voluntarily review this book for my honest opinion.

The Reaper is a collection of short stories meant to tickle your senses. Whether it's to avenge a betrayal, confront cruelty, punish hypocrisy, or revenge for murder, these gritty stories have one thing in common, and that is the dark, creepy feel of a thriller.

Jade Royal has a unique writing style that is straightforward and leaves a bit of a dirty taste in your mouth. She writes about straight-up ugly things and the payback for those sins. I had to take a break. I couldn't read this short compendium all the way through in one sitting.

One of the things I could appreciate is the sense of doom she infuses in all her work. She never promised any silver linings in any of these stories, and you knew upfront what you were reading. I liked that.

I recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror-thriller.

Jade Royal has written a collection of spine tingling stories of revenge by bada** females. Yeah, I'm probably not supposed to cheer them on, but seriously?! I did nothing but cheer them on because there were grounds for the things that happened, plus I have that whole dark & twisty soul going on. I'm not going to give any specific detail because The Reaper is a psychological thriller at it's finest, and frankly, it's a bit more twisted going in blindly. I'm in quarantine since I have the plague so luckily I was able to spend my time devouring this on a weekend.  Oh, and take this warning seriously, don't start it at night or you may or may not have to have a night light on to sleep because there's nothing sweet about any of this! Anyway, hit those one click buttons then get your alcohol of choice & buckle up! HIGHLY HIGHLY HIGHLY RECOMMEND!

There's only one thing on Janet's mind. Revenge. This story is super short but packs a dark, revenge filled punch.

Revenge

They say revenge is a dish best served cold. In this tale, one brutalized girl get her revenge with help from another. This story had my heart racing.

The Lies they Tell

Parents, always be honest with your children. This story is a cautionary tale about when little innocent lies turn into lies that can cause harm.

The Code

One broken rule is what it takes for everything to crumble. This story is the consequences of when rules are broken.

This collection isn't for ones who don't like dark themes. This book takes dark to a whole new level and I loved it.

This is a collection of short stories. NOT an anthology, there's only 4 stories of loss and revenge. This book goes to prove you never under estimate a woman scorned. I absolutely luved that 2 of these ladies got their revenge from beyond the grave! Ya know you really ticked someone off when their ghost comes back to get revenge. Janet was just a psycho, in my opinion.🤷
If you're looking for a little something different, a little horror that won't keep you up at night, something that won't take all night to read, this is what you're looking for.

This genre is one I never considered reading. I am so glad I did. The writing was very good and the imagination and thought took me to places I never knew existed. It was a little rough to read because of the violent and wicked ways but overall, I was glad to have given it a shot. If you are into this type of genre, you will love it. If you have never tried it, like me, it was a good taste of what else is out there.

First I will say that Horror is not my thing. So not my thing. The Reaper: The Reaper Collection was still well written. It was still a 5-star read. I did like that each short story featured a separate plot and characters. While Horror is not my thing, The Reaper still fleshed out each character, each story line and still gave you feels. If Horror is your thing, this is a must read.

Ever see a book, think the cover is compelling, read the blurb and say to yourself "This could be good". Then start reading and scratch your head and say again to yourself "What the...what?" Redemption

Never underestimate the power of a woman scorned. Within this book things were done to each woman and because of the hurt and pain they all seemed a way to relieve it all. This book has torture, and more violence but a good read.

These are very quick reads but they get right to the point, every one of these stories the main character gets their revenge by being The Reaper. I can’t really describe each story as I would give to much away but they made you think if you had ever wronged someone what could happen.
