Old Enough: How 18-Year-Olds Won the Vote & Why it Matters provides a lighthearted yet substantive account of the history of the Twenty-Sixth Amendment and the subsequent participation of young people in the electorate. Aimed at an audience spanning night graders to adults, the book fills a void in current titles and can serve an important role in civic education and encouraging greater voter turnout among all citizens, particularly youth. The book highlights primary sources and includes drawings, historical images, a timeline, notes, and bibliography. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to selected non-partisan organizations that promote voting rights and/or youth civic engagement.
