Would you kill for an ace?

Five Cards. Five victims. One journalist playing for his life.

When he left the marines, he changed his name. These days Ray Hammer is an investigative journalist with plenty to discover and nowhere to go.

That is until his editor tells him to get off his ass and leave L.A. in search of a story. But Hammer is grounded when he witnesses a grisly murder… on the runway.

Now someone’s about to reveal who Hammer really is. And they’re prepared to kill five innocent girls just to get his attention.

Can Hammer play this creep’s game to save the girls, or will he become the next victim?

An ex marine turns journalist. He misses the buzz, the adventure. Finding himself at the scene of a grizzly double murder, he discovers folks involved in deal making to try to see justice for those guilty of war crimes. Some involved don’t seem to care overmuch about heavy collateral damage

The involved parties all seem to have hands that aren’t so clean themselves

Can Ray Hammer find relative justice for some of the victims of this movement?

This intriguing mystery thriller is my first time reading anything from this author and I was attracted to read the book after reading the blurb. The plot is interesting and slightly different to your run of the mill mystery plots. I liked the characters and their development. This book easily grabbed and held my attention from the get-go.

Action packed!
Great, fast paced adventure of revenge, murder and a double cross!
I like how Ray Hammer, the lead character, is developing. He is ex-military with a good moral code and a taste for whiskey.

He plays the game tactically and tries to outwit his opponent but who is he really playing against? All will be revealed in this story that starts as a rollercoaster and finishes like a tornado!
I couldn't put it down, I loved it and look forward to the next book in this series!

I received an ARC of this book from the author in exchange for an honest review.
