Inside, I am Surviving

Rate this book
This book is based on a true story. It highlights the worst child abuse while the author maintains a strong sense of right and wrong, a good sense of humour, and the ability to love no matter what pain she is forced to endure at the hands of others.

This book is very well written. Despite the content (possible trigger warning for some readers) it was refreshing to read a book that keeps you in the moment rather than jumping back and fourth. This book is heartbreaking and frustrating but eye opening all the same. I read this book within 48 hours as it keeps you sucked in. I want to give a shout out to the author for sharing her story with the world and sharing the details of her childhood that society chooses to turn a blind eye too. I highly recommend this book and I look forward to reading book 2.

This is possibly the hardest hitting book I've ever read. To be let down by everyone who's supposed to love and care for you, is heartbreaking. I found myself getting extremely angry and upset for what the author had to endure. At times it's very uncomfortable but you feel compelled to continue, because surely there is light ahead. This book will sit with me for a long time to come. And yes I will read the next one, I need to follow this to the end xx
