However, a run-in with her grandfather’s past, brings the visit to a quick boil, and Deana is put between one of the people in her Struggling Paranormals Anonymous group and the man she strove to be like her entire life.

I live in sunny Florida where I spend my days taxiing the family to various places while jotting down the many crazy thoughts inside my head. I enjoy a freelance career writing for several magazines sharing some of my interesting viewpoints on life and those around me. Welcome to Black Hollow. This town is unlike any other! It is a paranormal paradise. Each book in the Black Hollow collection is written by one of 7 authors! There are 17 books so far and Blood Shadows by Robbie Cox is book # 17. I highly recommend this collection and love the fact that it does not need to be read in order!
Main characters are Miles and Deana, who are trying to live in peace in the town of Black Hollow. But with a town of paranormals there is always something lurking. There are fun times mixed with some danger. Blood Shadows includes a sweet romance with the focus on the vampire situation in the town of Black Hollow.

This is a well written book with strong characters in Miles and Deana. The author does a fantastic job developing the story and pulled me in with the intense story life. It's filled with tons of emotions as Miles has to face the things in his past in order to have a future. The story moves fluidly and is a terrific read.

This story was so amazing.. The nightmares of his past come back to haunt Miles, and Deanna is willing to look past everything to help him . War leaves its scars no matter who or what you are.. I have to say that I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed this book. It is outside of my typical choices to read and I choose it to expand my selection of Authors and styles of writing.
After Deana Abbington's grandfather shows up, she is very excited, but everything is not exactly as it seems.
Jump into this book right away if you want a book that is filled with twists and turns. It is entertaining and exhilarating and I will now start reading through ALL of Deana Abbington's books!

Love love love! Another awesome Black Hollow book by Robbie Cox. This book had me hooked from the beginning and I did not put it down. Miles has done some things in his past that he is not too proud of. He is attracted to Deana, but doesn't think it is a good idea. Deanna is a therapist to the supernatural. Because they have their demons too. There is one that has her attention though. Things really heat up when her grandfather comes to town, oh the history. There is an HEA but it is hard fought for as, well shoot no spoilers! There is danger that threatens to prevent said HEA. Remember I said this book had me hooked!

I LOVE THIS STORY! This is the tale of a vampire fighting his past which is preventing him from having a future with the empath he is smitten with. This story forces them to face his past so he can have a future. I felt Miles angst. I felt Deana’s heartbreak at her grandfathers intolerance. And I felt the love of the Black Hollow community as they worked their way forward

The Adventures Never End!

I loved visiting with all the paranormal friends of Black Hollow. Getting to know a new character more, and especially seeing the six degrees of separation that works even in the Paranormal World.
Robbie Cox descriptions and storyline of the Korean War is just like I have heard from family members and history classes I have taken. I cant imagine having to live through that, knowing that your government let you down, and that you have lost some of the best friends you will have ever made.
PTSD is so real and having an empath as the psychologist has to help those that she is able to reach deeper into. Miles, a vampire, is not one of those that she can reach telepathically. Being attracted to Deana complicates things more than they already are. Miles is on the verge of opening up when Deana's grandfather shows up for a visit and throws a major wrench into everything. This is where all the twists and excitement begins. A seventy year old war, three once best friends and a Vampire Battalion out on a mission to bring down their sire's sire. What is the town of Black Hollow in for?
This book is a quick read and will keep you turning the pages until you are finished. I hope to read more novels in this delightfully interesting series of mystical, magical beings and their worlds.

BLOOD SHADOWS is the nineteenth book in the Black Hollow series. Each is a stand-alone paranormal romance set in Black Hollow, Massachusetts – a haven for mythical creatures.

I love this town and I’m always excited to visit the shops I’ve come to love and discover what has been added. The names of the shops and the denizens of this town are so unique and fun!

This time the focus is on an old theme: vampires. The emotions of a war veteran as he comes face-to-face with his compatriots who will continue to survive as he faces the end of his life. The questions of the morality of vampirism and the emotions of family kept me glued to the pages as Miles and Deana face his past in order to find their future.

I loved the twists and unique turns that this fast-paced, intense story brought to what we think we all know about several popular topics. Great suspense, danger, and a wonderful HEA.

BLOOD SHADOWS, by Robbie Cox is another great trip to the paranormal town of Black Hollow. This author always writes about such interesting characters. This story is fast paced and gets you right in the middle of things quickly.

Miles Lysander lives with PTSD from many events in his past. His time in the Korean War may be some of his worst memories. Especially when he turned his best friend into a vampire.  Now, with the help of Deana Abbington he's working to deal with those memories. But when his past comes visiting,  his nightmares return stronger than ever. Now his past could destroy everything important to him in his present.

Each visit to Black Hollow leaves me wanting to visit again.

I loved Miles and Deana's story and the struggle with the past to make a future Miles doesn't feel he deserves. This book had a lot of twist and turns and laughter. I really enjoyed the mythological telling of how vampires became to be. Miles, Walt and Ralph's time in the Korean War also made me think a lot about the show M.A.S.H.
Another awesome look into the town of Black Hollow and its residents. This was my favorite in the series.

The author has taken us back to Black Hollow to spend time with our friends and introduce us to some new ones. Miles, vampire, is attracted to Deana, empath, but is afraid to make his move. However, when the past comes into town, he will do whatever is necessary to keep her safe. The story keeps you turning the pages with danger, suspense and love.

Blood Shadows by Robbie Cox is another in the Black Hollow series…this is the story of Miles and Deana. Miles is suffering from deep trauma in his past. Deana is a therapist. His situation is so devastating and horrifying…but, she is helping him. The fact that he is attracted to her doesn’t help….

Touching, absorbing, story that was both heartbreaking and truly uplifting. Very good read!!

Book seventeen in the Black Hollow series and the story grabbed my interest from the start and did not let go until I was finished. Mr. Cox makes his stories come alive for me. Sometimes you become so engrossed on a book that you wish you could visit the locations and meet the people you read about. This is such a book. The storyline keeps you entrenched in the lives of the characters and the interplay between leads makes you believe in what you read.

I loved Miles and Deana’s story. His past was tragic and full of so much pain it made me cry. That past threatens his future until the town once again draws together to protects it own. You should absolutely buy now a read immediately.

I really liked how an event from the past was brought forward to help explain a character's behavior. Miles was troubled by what he had done in Korea and was trying to deal with that . When two friends from that past come back it forces him to make choices he had not counted on.

I love the great building of the characters in this book! Vampire Stories Rock! I love the story and how it brings the past forward fast - like vampiric speed fast - HA! And how the hero and heroine work together to try to save themselves and their home. I love the heroine, she's witty, endearing, brave and bold!

Gotta love me some Vampire

This was a beautiful story with a whole lot of excitement wrapped in it. Always love a lot of drama in a story. This story gives you all sorts of it. Old friends that hate you, people that want to kill you. Old friends you lost track of.

This story does have love and laughing within the pages. Things that the characters might not find funny, trust me you will.

Once again this author does not disappoint!!
