Overall helpful to prepare for the ASWB clinical examination. The content area test questions, practice exam, and online practice exam I found most helpful as it teaches you HOW to take the test. I used their other guide for my masters exam and did well with this study material. The online option is great at providing various study games, flash cards, discussions, and helps you plan out your studying. I rated it 4 stars because there are quite a few grammatical errors throughout the book and for the price, I personally feel like those should be flushed out. The errors are the same when looking at the online version too.
I read this to prepare for my licensure exam and honestly, it was very helpful. This book is able to summarize key concepts and it was organized so the information made sense. I also appreciate when educational books have varied text (italicized, bolded, indented, etc) so that it was clear and easily consumed. The only critique is that when it references theories in parts of the book, it doesn't always mention which theorist it relates to and that shows up later.
I thought this was pretty helpful and had lots of areas for testing and retesting that I found helpful. I think this plus some quizlet is the way to go!
Highly recommend this book for the clinical examination! I studied for months and found this to be a very helpful resource. My book also came with online an online access code that had some great study materials as well!
