King Baxton will pay 1000 gold pieces for Marlon Horner’s head. King Righteff will pay 5000 for him alive. Once Marlon Horner, the greatest bard of our time, learns that not only is he a father but his long-lost daughter plans to be married in two weeks, his life unravels into chaos.
Now on the run, Marlon must cross the vast Celeste Sea to get to that wedding. Unfortunately, the only ship departing Morvada during the oncoming storm is captained by a woman he jilted 20 years ago.
For the first time in his life Marlon Horner wants to do the right thing only for his awakening conscience to plot him on course of an adventure more grand than any tale he’s ever told.
After owning this for a few years I finally was able to get around to reading it, and I wish I would have sooner. The world that was created in this story was wonderfully descriptive, and I felt like I was in the story itself with each page. Marlon was a fantastic main character who showed growth and reflection in a human way, and was surrounded by a crew that was placed together by fate. Kosiara was my favorite character. She was a strong woman, written in the best of ways. While I usually struggle with fantasy writing, I had an easy time reading this and found myself interested in more fantasy. Fantastic work!
